The Hammam has it’s origins from the Ottoman Empire as a placeof regeneration, contemplation and inner peace. The focus of theHammam is the physical and spiritual cleaning, letting go of thedaily stresses, loosening of joints, muscles and mental regeneration.

Covered in a towel (Pestemal), you enter the Hammam, a roomwith a temperature of about 95 °F. Here, you scoop and gently pourwarm water over yourself to slowly increase your bodytemperature.

Then you move into the Steambath, where the temperature is 115°F and the sweat glands really get working.

In the Hammam, you will receive a traditional soap-foam massagefrom the Hammam attendant, the Tallak. The massage is performedon the heated polished slab of granite. This foam scrub exfoliatesyour skin and leaves you soft and silky smooth - like a baby.
