Introduction:

This is meant to be a comparison of compact semi-automatic handguns of greater than or equal to six inches in length, but less

than seven. Further restrictions are the guns must currently be in production and one of the following calibers.

a. 380 ACP

b. 9 x 19

c. 357 Sig

d 40 S&W

e. 10mm

d. 45 ACP

f. 45 GAP

I’m sure there are a lot of other quality guns out there in many different calibers, but I had to set some limits to make this a

manageable task and these are what I choose. I’ll make the same offer that Bobo made: I’ll provide the source components to

anyone who wants to take up the challenge and create a comparison chart of other guns.

Speaking of Bobo, this chart is truly a continuation of his Pocket Comparison. Bobo provided his source components, advice,

information, and review to make this comparison possible. The dashed squares, blue-lines, and glove fingers in this comparison

are the same as in his. The pistol diagrams in these pages can be directly compared to his with regard to size. Bobo deserves a lot

of credit for putting together such a nice system for comparing pistols!

These following notes apply to these pages:

1. Specifications presented are from manufacturer and owner information.

2. Empty Weights came straight from the manufacturer’s web page and may or may not include the weight of a standard magazine..

3. Fully Loaded weights are based on the average weight of a round of that caliber and a fully loaded standard magazine, but does

not include a round in the chamber.

4. The pistols may have other slide options, finishes, or accessories available. See manufacturer’s web sites for the latest

information.

6. Some pistols have specific ammunition restrictions and/or limitations. See manufacturer’s web sites for more information.

7. The “ghost hand” shown is a men’s glove size large with the first finger segment of the index finger on the trigger.

8. ?? means unknown

9. In the cases where there are no differences between like guns of different calibers, the picture might be the same. (I.E. Beretta

PX4 Storm 9x19 & S&W40.)

10.All Weights are in Ounces except Trigger Weights which are in Pounds, and all Linear Measurements are in Inches.

11.The price listed is either MSRP from the manufacturers’ web pages or what the gun could be found for NIB on gunbroker.com.
