A certain man went down from Jerusalemto Jericho, and fell among thieves, who
stripped him of his clothing, wounded him,
and departed, leaving him for dead.
Now by chance a certain priest came down
that road. And when he saw him, he passed by
on the other side. Likewise a Levite [temple
assistant], when he arrived at the place, came
and looked, and passed by on the other side.

But a certain Samaritan [a people
despised and shunned by the Jews of those
days], as he journeyed, came where he was.
And when he saw him, he had compassion.
So he went to him, bandaged his wounds, brought him to an inn, and took care of him.
On the next day, when he departed, he
took out two denarii, gave them to the
innkeeper, and said to him, Take care of
him; and whatever more you spend, when I
come again, I will repay you.
Pero un samaritano [mestizo al que los
judos ortodoxos puros despreciaban y cuyo

With the story of the Good
Samaritan, Jesus taught that
our neighbor is anyone whoneeds our help. When you
give love you receive love in
return. You never lose when
you give love.
Con la parbola del buen
samaritano Jess ense que
nuestro prjimo es toda
persona que necesite nuestra
ayuda.
resultado.

A rich mans farm produced a big
crop, and he said to himself, What
can I do? I dont have a place large
enough to store everything.
Later, he said, Now I know what Ill
do. Ill tear down my barns and build
bigger ones, where I can store all my
grain and other goods.
Las tierras de un hombre muy rico
haban dado una gran cosecha. Era
granos. Pero despus de pensarlo dijo:
Ya s lo que har. Destruir mis viejos
graneros, y mandar a construir unos
mucho ms grandes. All guardar lo

But God said to him, You fool! Tonight you
will die. Then who will get what you have
stored up?
The rich man in thisparable wanted to
build bigger
buildings, which was
not so bad in itself
if he had wanted to
do it for the right
reasons, but his
purpose was to
increase his goods
for himself, not to
share with others.
Love for God and
others should
motivate our lives, rather than a pursuit
for our own well-being.
Pero Dios le dijo: Qu tonto eres! Esta
misma noche vas a morir, y otros disfrutarn
de todo esto que has guardado.
El hombre rico deesta parbola quera
construir graneros
ms grandes, lo cual
no hubiera sido tan
malo en s si lo
hubiera hecho conla motivacin
debida. Pero su
intencin era
incrementar sus
bienes, no
compartirlos con los
dems.

Once a man had two sons. The younger
son said to his father, Give me my share of
the property. So the father divided his
property between his two sons.
Not long after that, the younger son
packed up everything he owned and left fora foreign country, where he wasted all his
money in wild living.
All se dedic a darse gusto,

Entonces
busc trabajo, yel hombre que
lo emple lo
mand a cuidar
cerdos en su
finca. Al joven le
daban ganas decomer aunque
fuera la comida
con que
alimentaban a
los cerdos.
Por fin, el
joven regres a
la casa de su
padre.
After he had spent everything, a bad famine
spread through that whole land. Soon the son
had nothing to eat.
He went to work
for a man in that
country, and the
man sent him out
to take care of his
pigs.He was so
hungry that he
would have been
glad to eat what the
pigs were eating.
Finally, the
younger son got up
and started back tohis father. But when
he was still a long
way off, his father
saw him and felt sorry for him. He ran to his
son and hugged and kissed him.

The father said to the servants, Hurry
and bring the best clothes and put them
on him. Give him a ring for his finger and
sandals for his feet. Get the best calf and
prepare it, so we can eat and celebrate.
This son of mine was dead, but has now
come back to life. He was lost and has
now been found. And they began to
celebrate.
comenz la fiesta.

Gods love is wonderfully sufficient,
unconditional, unlimited, and without
end. He loves us when were up and
when were down. He loves us when we
do things worthy of His praise, and Heloves us even when we do things that
sadden Him. To think that there isnt
even one condition to His love is
truly amazing!
ilimitado, inacabable. Nos ama cuando
estamos contentos y cuando estamos
tristes; cuando tenemos un
comportamiento digno de Su alabanza y
cuando incurrimos en faltas que loapenan. Maravilla pensar que no pone
una sola condicin para amarnos.
