of those who have a volunteers position in these
groups (i.e. Rosary apostolate, Maria de La Uni-
dad, Charismatic Movement, St. Vincent De-
Paul, etc.)
Reconciliation Tree: Would it not
be a great sign for us to see this tree covered
completely in white by the end of these forty
days as a sign of our on-going need to Recon-
cile?
Stations of the Cross: Every Fri-
day during Lent after 8am mass
(English-Italian) and at 7:30pm

Questions for Reflection: From the Second Reading:
Live as children of light, for
light produces every kind of
goodness.‖
If you could, what darkness in
the world would you dispel?
Could you do this on a local scale
in your present situation?
Today Jesse’s son David is called from his flock to serve the Lord and shepherd
his people. Today Jesus opens the eyes of a man to the wonders of belief in
God’s son. God also calls us from our ordinary work and opens our eyes through
baptism to insight into his mighty works. He calls on us to believe, to worship,
and then to follow the Lord Jesus, his son. We are made new, enlightened chil-
dren of the light of God. We must discover what the Lord wants of us. Do we
dare follow where Jesus leads us? Do you?.

Reflecting on our
Pastoral Plan At a parish level, we have to ensure ongoing
excellence in the way our offices listen and
respond to calls. Parish bulletins, websites
and social media are at the front line of
communicating with parishioners and the
public. The archdiocese will support these
parish efforts. At the archdiocesan level,
we will aim to provide excellent communi-
cation through our website including loca-
tion and mass times of our parishes and a
portal to Catholic writings on a full range of
issues. We will become adept at using so-
cial media to hear from Catholics and those
outside of the Church, and respond to their
queries. Social media will be an important
avenue for getting our message out. We will
also serve as a hub for responding to inquir-
ies from secular media, providing a compe-
tent Catholic voice to respond to a wide
range of stories.
Papal Blessing Scroll Parishioners may order a
Papal Blessing scroll to
commemorate a mile-
stone occasions (i.e. wed-
ding anniversary, birthday, etc.)For further
information on how to order a Papal Bless-
ing scroll, please contact your parish office.
Marriage Enrichment Refresh and rekindle your love for each
other by treating yourselves to a marriage
enrichment weekend at Queen of Apostles
Renewal Centre, or give a weekend as a gift
to family or friends. The Centre offers com-
fort, excellent cuisine and an inspiring pro-
gram. The next weekend is April 11-
13,2014. For information telephone: 905-
278-5229
ShareLife Our Holy Father reminds us of
the importance of caring for
each other. Through Share-
Life agencies, we reach out to
some of the most vulnerable
marginalized and needy people in our
community, helping our neighbours,
friends and fellow parishioners as they
work through difficult times. This
demonstrates our commitment to Catho-
lic charity in a meaningful way. Please
consider supporting ShareLife, the an-
nual appeal of our Archdiocese, during
this Lenten season.
