Lara Cricket Section – Structure6 Senior sides participating in the GCA. And with a junior structure that grows every year, we expect numbers to again grow for the 2019-20 season. Currently we have:
• U17 – A&B, 1 team • U15 – A&B, 2 teams • U13 – A&B, 2 teams • U11 – A&B, 2 teams • Girls Team – Junior Cricket 1 (9 to 14yo) • Junior Academy since 2012/13 • Plus the new Woolworth’s Junior Blaster program • Woolworth’s Master Blaster program
In total, the Lara Cricket section provides the facilities and coaching for over 200 juniors. This puts our total player participation around 280 players plus families and growing!
Our Vision Statement
“nurturing our youth of today, ensures the success of our club tomorrow”
Our Mission
Our Mission is to focus on nurturing and developing our juniors rather than embarking on recruiting senior players to our club. Naturally, being competitive in our senior teams is important, both for our profile and for the inspiration of our juniors. It is with this in mind that when we recruit experienced players to our club, they fit the culture of our club, live our values and assist with the mentoring and development of our playing group as well as being involved in our junior program.
For members involved both on and off the ground at Lara, there would be no greater satisfaction than watching juniors who have come through the grades over the years, play 1st XI Cricket for Lara.
What can we offer our Sponsors?
The 2019-20 season brings forth an exciting opportunity for the Lara Cricket Section. With the unanimous support of the Lara Sporting Club, we are now able to present a sponsorship package that truly provides you, our sponsor, the opportunity for maximum exposure 52-weeks of the year.
That equates to exposure to the Football and Netball communities, as well as the wider community use such as Lara Australia Day Celebration and the Avalon Air Show to mention two significant events in the calendar year. Plus the funds raised via our sponsorship arrangements ensure we are able to provide the best facilities and opportunities for the youth of our community.
We believe, this arrangement will be mutually beneficial, and we look forward to a long and successful partnership.
