RINGKASAN
Dalam proses seleksi mahasiswa berprestasi pada Universitas Muria Kudus
pendaftaran calon mahasiswa berprestasi harus datang ke lokasi hal ini
menyebabkan masalah efisien waktu jika ada mahasiswa yang berada diluar kota.
Pengumpulan berkas yang masih menggunakan kertas, hal ini menyebabkan kertas
menumpuk, lamanya pencarian data, rekap data dan membutuhkan tempat yang
besar. Proses akumulasi nilai lama karena harus diinput satu-persatu. Oleh
sebabnya diperlukan sistem informasi yang dapat mempercepat proses seleksi dan
pengelolaan data mahasiswa berprestasi yang ada di Universitas Muria Kudus.
Sistem informasi yang dihasilkan dapat membantu proses pemilihan
mahasiswa berprestasi. Sistem yang dibuat berbasis web responsif yang dapat
diakses secara online oleh pengguna. Membantu petugas dalam hal penyusunan
berkas dan laporan agar lebih rapi. Proses penyeleksian yang dilakukan melalui
sistem saat ini, dapat membantu menentukan hasil tes dengan akurat dan dapat
menghemat waktu serta biaya. Data statistik mahasiswa berprestasi akan tersimpan
didalam database, sehingga memudahkan petugas dalam pencarian data disetiap
proses penyeleksian. Sistem ini yang dibuat menggunakan bahasa pemrograman
PHP dan database MySQL. Metode pengembangan sistem menggunakan waterfall,
perancangan menggunakan Unified Modelling Language (UML).

ABSTRACT
In the selection process for outstanding students at Muria Kudus University,
the registration of outstanding student candidates must come to the location, this
causes time efficiency problems if there are students who are outside the city.
Collecting files that still use paper, this causes paper to accumulate, takes a long
time to search for data, recaps data and requires a large space. The process of
accumulating values is long because it has to be inputted one by one. That is why
an information system is needed that can accelerate the selection process and data
management of outstanding students at Muria Kudus University.
The resulting information system can help the process of selecting
outstanding students. The system is made based on responsive web that can be
accessed online by users. Helping officers in terms of preparing files and reports to
make them tidier. The selection process carried out through the current system can
help determine test results accurately and can save time and money. Statistical data
on outstanding students will be stored in the database, making it easier for officers
to search for data in each selection process. This system is created using the PHP
programming language and MySQL database. The system development method
uses a waterfall, the design uses the Unified Modeling Language (UML).

Dengan memanjatkan puji syukur kehadirat Allah SWT yang telah
melimpahkan rahmat, taufik dan hidayah-Nya sehingga pada kesempatan ini
penulis dapat menyelesaikan penulisan laporan skripsi yang berjudul “Sistem
Informasi Manajemen Pemilihan Mahasiswa Berprestasi Pada Universitas Muria
Kudus Berbasis Web Responsif”.
Penyusunan laporan skripsi ini ditujukan untuk memenuhi salah satu syarat
memperoleh gelar sarjana S1 pada program studi system informasi fakultas teknik
Universitas Muria Kudus.
