From white sand beaches to age-old leafy forests, breathtaking cliffs, undulating dunes by the sea, volcanic landscapes that belong to other worlds and sea beds with amazing visibility.

Humans have also contributed to creating the largest number of locations imaginable: colonial-style farms, picturesque towns, lonely roads, modern European cities, industrial areas, etc. Whatever the type of landscape you’re looking for, you’ll find it in the Canaries.

7 ISLANDSFULL OF POSSIBILITIESThe Canary Islands are made up of 7 islands in the Atlantic Ocean. They are situated in the Macaronesian region in the south of Europe, 1,739 km southeast of Madrid. Each of the islands has its own personality and features but together they make up a territory which is truly unique, just a few hours’ flying time from the main European capitals.

Known historically as “The Fortunate Islands”, the Archipelago is in fact made up of seven larger islands: Lanzarote, Fuerteventura, Gran Canaria, Tenerife, La Gomera, La Palma and El Hierro, and six smaller ones: Alegranza, La Graciosa (the only one of the smaller islands that’s inhabited), Montaña Clara, Roque del Este, Roque del Oeste and the island of Lobos.
