POST OF WEB DEVELOPER (ONE YEAR ON CONTRACT BASIS) –WEB DEVELOPMENT UNIT

Applications are invited from talented and dynamic individuals who wish to join our Web Development Unit at the University of Peradeniya as the Web Developer.

The person we are looking for should have: A degree from a recognized University preferably in a field related to IT Experience on activities in open source development using HTML.CSS, Java Script,

PHP, AJAX, JQuery and other related technologies. Knowledge in graphics software or image editing software. Knowledge in open source content management systems Ability to handle multiple tasks and work effectively as a good team player under

minimum supervision. Extensive knowledge and hands on experience in MysQL Good command in English Age not more than 45 years

The appointment will be for a period of (1) one year on contract basis and the position carries an all inclusive salary of Rs. 44,927/- (fixed) and she/he will become contributor to the Universities Provident Fund, the contributions being 10% from the employee to the Provident Fund and 15% from the employer to the Provident Fund. A further contribution of 3% will be made by the employer to the employees Trust Fund.

A Self made application giving full name, date of birth, age, address, national identity card number, telephone number and full particulars of educational and professional qualifications, experience together with the names of two referees, should be forwarded along with certified photocopies of certificates in proof of qualifications and experience and a recently taken photograph under registered cover to reach the Senior Assistant Registrar, Corporate Management Division, University of Peradeniya, Peradeniya on or before 11th July 2019.
