Our programmes for the over 50’s

Attractive programmes in exceptional locations

Our programmes over two, three or four weeks are ideal for active people with an inquiring mind, who wish to combine pleasant holidays with the opportunity to discover the language, culture and lifestyle of the chosen country.

Classes take place in well-established language schools. In a small class, you will improve your language level, especially your speaking skills, together with people of your generation with the same interests. Moments of exchange, sharing, laughter and pleasure – your course will open your mind!

Our partner schools welcome a great variety of students of various nationalities and all ages, mostly between 20 and 30 years.

People of 50 years and over usually benefit from specific programmes, but some Club 50+ courses may be incorporated into programmes with a lower average age, for organisational reasons. In this case, you will have the chance to share the experience of learning a foreign language in a mixed context. Exchanges will be just as enriching and all of the participants in the group will have the same language level.

You will attend 3-4 hours of classes daily in the morning, which means you can take part in the activities programme offered by the school in the afternoon.

Whether you are a beginner or advanced learner, your language teachers will offer you attractive learning options, mostly based on oral expression. You will learn a lot about your host country and town, its history and upcoming events. Conducted in the local language, classes will allow you to rapidly immerse yourself in the language and culture of your destination.

If you wish to make faster progress and enjoy tailor-made lessons, we recommend the Club 50+ programme “in the teacher’s home”. In the home of your teacher, you will benefit from constant attention and private courses specifically designed to meet your needs and desires. This option is also available for 2 people with the same objectives and lan-guage level.

The leisure activities bring all of the participants in the Club 50+ programme together. After the language classes, set off to explore your destination’s historical and cultural sights and enter into contact with the locals. The “holiday” feel of your stay abroad will seduce you and allow you to establish long-lasting bonds with the other participants. Together and at your own pace, you will get to know the language and its cultural environment better - a most enriching experience!

Host familyThe Club 50+ programme offers participants the opportu-nity to stay with a host family during their language study stay abroad. This accommodation option is ideal for immers-ing yourself completely in the language and culture of the country. The host families are carefully selected by our partner schools. Staying in a single or double room (if you are two people travelling together), you will share the daily life of your hosts, discovering their customs and traditions day after day. Generally speaking, the families are located within a short distance of the school or in quiet residential areas. This accommodation option often includes meals (usually half board). Some of our schools also offer “Superior host families”, who offer private bathrooms.

As part of a Club 50+ language course, you will have the opportunity to follow the leisure activities programme offered by your language school. With people of your generation, you will explore the town/city you are staying in through various activities in the afternoons and at week-ends, with the mornings being generally dedicated to language courses.

Especially designed for mature people, this programme is focussed on the cultural and historical attractions of the destination, including monuments, excursions, guided visits, cooking and dance classes, evening meals in town, outings to the theatre or to the opera, tasting of regional dishes and wines, and much more. A subtle mix of language classes and exciting discoveries!

Besides the activities programme, you are free to discover the town/city by yourself, on your own or in the company of friends from the language school. Take advantage of this to see or see again the best attractions, or simply relax on the terrace of a café or at the table of a good restaurant.

Studio / Residence / Hotel In order to satisfy all of the participants, we also offer quality accommodation in hotels of different standards, in private studios or in the residences of our partner language schools.

Choose the option which corresponds best to you, according to the comfort, the independence and price you are looking for.

On-site residences generally include a private bathroom in each room and sometimes even a swimming pool, as is the case in Malaga.

For each of the destinations in the Club 50+ programme, we recommend a choice of quality hotels to you. This accommodation option is pleasant for people who wish to enjoy their stay in complete freedom, with a maximum amount of comfort and independence.
