We first thought of “Connecting Four,” in the midst of our vacation in Malaysia. Realizing how seldom we get to spend quality time with Michael since his recent departure to Hong Kong University we brainstormed ways in which we might stay “connected.” So with this goal in mind, “connecting four” became a reality (at least in our minds, anyway). We started with the core ideas taking inspiration from the flaura, fauna, and wonder-ful culture on the tropical Island. Finally after, end-lessly snapping photos, late nights at Tomato restaurant discussing ideas, and countless trips to the only “hot spot” in Sari villages (the resort), Connecting Four emerged. We are happy to anounce the beginnings of a blog full of creativity, good eats, and inspiring ideas!
Langkawi was full of visits to the pool, din-ners on the beach, eating traditional foods and enjoying magnificent scenery. I feel so blessed to have had this time with my family to laugh, talk, and share. If you don’t know us then you probably don’t know that my Mom homeschooled us until we moved to China. Growing up and school-ing together created such close bonds and now that Michael is off taking on the world, we are sadder than ever. So this is why the idea of creating a joint blog had such an appeal for us. We hope you share in our fun and enjoy our blog as much as we do!
