This chart gives you general height details based on ideal conditions (stable native soil with no slopes or loads/surcharge above the wall). If your project has non-ideal conditions, or for if you need information on using Anchorplex™ or geogrid to build higher walls, contact Oaks.

Upper wall needs to be 2x the height of the
lower wall away to be treated independent
simple walls with proterra™
Use our Preliminary Cross Sections
ordering proterra™ multi-depth
Two “extra” standard units can be used to create a double unit – just make sure they are sandwiched between full double units
Triple units do not have a split face. Use alternating Double Combos where the exposed face needs to be split.
Triples can be used in buried portions of the wall (as the split face is not needed and it is easier to level the single unit).

TOW
BOW
Figure out which side is the top of wall (TOW).
Wall layout is usually based on
the visible side of the wall (Standing at the bottom of the
wall looking towards it).
The starting point for the chainage (length= 0m) is the
far left side of the wall.
Scale off the length of the wall, as well as each location that a TOW and/or BOW elevation is
provided.

Standard Units – take the Facing Area in square metres, divide by 0.185 (face area of one unit – 185mm x 1000mm), then subtract the number of corners needed. e.g. 78/0.185 = 422 – 13 (corners – previous slide) = 409

Aggregate requirements
how to provide the required information We want to make sure we have all the required information. Complete form and return with a site plan. We need to know: 1. Height 2. Surcharge 3. Tiered 4. Railing or fence 5. Native soil type 6. Slope below the wall 7. Presence of water 8. Drainage discharge options
“GIGO” (Garbage in = Garbage Out) By providing all the correct info up front, we can provide the most accurate plan output, the first time around.
