The Mississippi Riverfront Educational Plaza was designed with many of the surrounding elements in mind, the school and the library. Both of these existing sites have play a key role in education of the people who make up Minneapolis, and the riverfront coridor along the Mississippi River here in the Twin Cities. With education in mind, the site was designed to allow people of all diversities to engage and learn from the river, and the rivers relationship to the growth and history of the Twin Cities. With a pier that allow for people to access views of the river, as well as a large patio in the center of the site, with access to a beach that allows visitors to access a corridor of the river, allowing the people to become aware of the natural surroundings.

Johnson Backyard Design
Site analysis
The Johnson’s are huge entertainers, and wanted a space that incorporat-ed elements of hardscape, outdoor kitchen area, seating as well as water feature to draw in guests setting their property apart from other people they know and entertain. The key feature of this design is the water feature existing of numerous waterfalls, and a pond that contains koy fish, and numerous wetland vegetative species, to give a more scenic and naturalis-tic feel within the space.
