personal statement
02
Art, first and foremost, is my passion. That coupled with my awe for nature has fueled my interest and love for landscape design. With a creative, purposeful, and detail-oriented work ethic, I wish to design spaces that are functional, beautiful, that brings people together, creates memories, and leaves impressions. The opportunity to create all of this and more is the reason why I choose to pursue landscape architecture as a profession.
100 trees
Using only one type of tree, this project called for a design based off of the word “romantic.” I chose the apple tree for its symbolism, and created an amorous orchard with plenty of private spaces.
Project 1
04
wall street
The objective of this project was to design a street off the quote, “Lost time is never found again.” My client also wanted a fun, yet simple walkthrough. Based off the quote and location of the site (nearby Mad Hatter’s bar), I used “Alice in Wonderland” to inspire my design.
Project 2 08
residential design
This project was designed to teach autocad, photoshop, and sketchup skills. We had to render, create symbols, and produce a model for this plan.
Project 3
12
ecology courtyard
The purpose of this project was to redesign a coutyard for the ecology building. A curvilinear design was used in order to create a natural and inviting space.
Project 5 20
infill housing
The goal of this project was to fit three houses on a plot of land and also design the backyards. Challenges included trying to fit the houses in a way that would maximize space while also being functional. The plan was successful in that each residence has a nice backyard space.
Project 6 24
conservation subdivision
With Riverside as my inspiration, the objective of this project was to create a conservation subdivision with 105 lots (8,000 sq ft. min.). My intent was to create a design with user experience in mind. For walking pedestrians, all lots have close access to green spaces, while vehicles have a view of the pond as it is used as a focal point for the roads’ line of sight.

neotraditional development
This project called for 100 town homes, 200 single-family lots, and atleast 150,000 sq. ft. of commercial area. My goal was to create a beautiful, integrated design that promotes a diverse and thriving community.
