Due to the new Da’an Forest Park MRT station, users of Da’an Park now became more diverse.This project strengthen and connect the remaining parts of Da’an Park to adapt to the new way of usage.Also by adding art elements into the park, emphasis the beauty of the natute.Allowing the citizens to embrace themselves to Da’an Park and also Taipei city.

THE PATTERN LANGUAGE OF DAAN PARK

THE HILLInside the Daan Park, it is easily to get lost.However, if you are lost, you need not to be panic. Only thing you need to do is try to look around and find the small hill next to the music stage. Then, you will find the way out.

Therefore, I try to use the old pattern,hiil, to redisign the north part of Daan Park.

The advantage of hill is that, it is easily to create a “space” and the hidden of vision.

Xinsheng S. Road renewal program is a major highlight for Taipei to become a World Design Capital in 2016.Sit right next to National Taiwan University and one of the most cultural community “Wen-Ro-Din”, this project not only focus on renewing the street apperance , and also add some character of the space.

Taipei bike lane setup is an important program in the last few years. However, based on the city scale, we can notice that their is a big gap between Guting riverside park and Daan Park bike lane.Therefore, It is a significant design to connect these lanes.

The east part of Xingsheng S. Rd. is NTU (National Taiwan Unirversity) campus.Tens of thousands of students riding bikes around the school campus is becoming a serious problem. It is easily to see accidents happen everyday in the school life. By the way,How the streetscape design connect the local residents and the visitors from the GongGuan commercial area is also an important issue.

BIKE LANE DESIGNTo connect the city bike lane, to create a bike friendly enviroment is my first issue.

NTU CAMPUS CONNECTNational Taiwan Unirversity is a school full with tradition and honor. The development of Xinsheng S. Rd has strong connection with the developing of NTU. How to design a streetscape to merge the historical campus is my second issue.

SPOTLIGHT OF STREETSCAPEIn the west part of the site, diverse shops, restau-rants and coffee shops, have their characteristic and pattern. Also, different kinds of outoor furni-ture, for example:bus stop, traffic light, bench..., can also become a spotlight of street scape. Try to deal with these characteristic is my third issue.

LIMITATION AND FRAMEFrame, is a basic structure that underlies or supports a concept. However, it might also limit the imagination and creativity. Society and educational system in Taiwan used to give student lots of formulas and frames to obey .Therefore, I hope to break up the limitation and make the frame to have more possibility.

INTRODUCTION

TAIPEI TREE FROGS-Zhongqiang park, besid Xiangshan, is the only place can discover the rare amphibian-Taipe tree frog.

LIUGONGJUNLiugongjun is system of canals and irrigation ditches that once crisscrossed the city of Taipei.Most of the canals were covered over by roads and streets in the 1970s due to increasing volumes of traffic and diminishing necessity of water transportation and irrigation.Now days, we still can see a portion of Liugongjun inside the Zongqiang park.

THE NEW LIUGONGJUN

The new characteristic of Liugongjun system are clear and open.In the present design ,we could see that the water transportation system was isolated by some wood fences so that tourists and visitors. didn't have a chance to be close around Liugongiun to generate any interaction. In the new design, the widening space and transparant material make the Liugongjun become more user-friendly. The new added timeline installation also give this space a educational and

historical meaning.
