PUBLIC CONSULTATION RESULTS LAMMAS PARK PARKOUR

The consultation period for Lammas Park Parkour proposal ran for 4 weeks ending on 9th

March 2018. The following are the results from the consultation survey. Summary 2545 leaflets were sent out together with posters put up advertising the consultation onsite at key points around the park, social media was also used to advertise the consultation including twitter, Facebook and a press release was issued. There was overall a good deal of support for these improvements with over 476 people responding to the consultation. Based on these results 73.3 percent of people agreed with the Parkour proposal within Lammas Park. It is now recommended that the project goes forward to detailed design stage which will involve liasing with Parkour users and specialists to develop a high quality Parkour design which is sympathetic to Lammas Park. We will then consult with planning as to the appropriate way forward for delivering the project. Some of the results have been split up to show the differences between responses received by people living on nearby roads compared to other roads. Overall both nearby and other roads agreed to the proposal of a Parkour facility within Lammas Park. The consultation area boundary: Do you support the building of a Parkour facility in Lammas Park?
