ConclusionA majority of women (54%) use Facebook
compared to men (46%).A majority of people between 18 and 25,
and between 26 and 34 years old use Facebook (52%). Therefore, young adults are more likely to use Facebook than younger or older people.
The United States is the country with the biggest number of Facebook users, and Canada is the 10th one with 17.3 million people, which represents half of Canadian population.
ConclusionThe proportional increase of Facebook users
in recent years is clearly much bigger in United States than it has been in Canada.
Europe is the world region with the biggest number of Facebook users followed by North America.
Proportionally, this is North America that has the biggest Facebook penetration (43.3%) compared to 33.4% in Europe. 7,60% of world population has a Facebook account, which is almost one person in ten.
ConclusionThe most popular brand name on Facebook is “Texas
Hold’em Poker” followed by “Coca-Cola”, which is surprising that a poker company is first.
The total number of active Facebook users has increased by 500 million users in only 2 years and a half.
Estimated Facebook revenues are 38.46 times greater in 2010 than in 2006, which is an important increase in these 4 years.
The correlation between the number of Facebook users and the Facebook revenues is a strong positive correlation, according to a coefficient of correlation of 0.95.
