The. Rev. Dr. Joy A. Schroeder
Joy A. Schroeder teaches church histo-
ry at Capital University and Trinity Lu-
theran Seminary in Columbus, Ohio.
She received her B.A. from Luther Col-
lege, her Master of Divinity from
Princeton Theological Seminary, and
her Ph.D. from the University of Notre
Dame. She is the author of numerous
articles on the history of biblical inter-
pretation and the history of women in
Christianity. Schroeder is especially
interested in exploring how women
have interpreted the Bible through the
centuries. She is a frequent contribu-
tor to Gather, the magazine of the
Women of the Evangelical Lutheran
Church in America.
