as an active volunteer in his hometown while growing up, tyson knew that he wanted to continue to help out when he enrolled at lakehead. when he arrived here, he discovered countless opportunities to contribute to both campus life and the wider community, while still finding time to complete his concurrent honours bachelor of arts and Education degrees. his volunteer efforts didnt go unnoticed, as he received an ontario medal for young volunteers in 2013 from the honourable david c. onley, lieutenant governor of ontario.
