FOREWORD
The Year2012 edition of the Basic Statistical Hotline is a con-tinuation in the series to contribute to a wider and timely dissemi-nation of information to users on activities of the State. The Publi-cation brings together some essential social and economic statisti-cal indicators for ease of reference for Researchers, Planners, Ad-ministrators and Decision-Makers using Classification of Func-tions of Government (COFOG).
Planning Units in the various Ministries, Departments and Agen-cies (MDAs) have been very helpful in providing information for the sectors of this publication. The Lagos Bureau of Statistics (LBS) therefore expresses its appreciation for the support and co-operation of these Ministries, Departments and Agencies including Federal Road Safety Commission, Lagos State Police Command, the Central Bank of Nigeria and National Bureau of Statistics; among others.
Suggestions and comments at improving the coverage and scope of the contents of this publication would be highly appreciated.
