Lewannick Parish Council Lewannick Parish Council met on Wednesday 19 October at Polyphant Village
Hall.
We were pleased to welcome Chris Simms our Community Link Officer,
Cornwall Council, to explain the process of producing a Neighbourhood Plan.
Members of the public were encouraged to attend and we were pleased that
residents joined us.
Following the overview it was agreed that the whole of our parish boundary
would be included within the neighbourhood plan.
The plan would be driven by the parish council but it is important that the
residents within the parish are involved from inception.
If you would be interested in taking part please contact the Clerk -
We would form a steering committee if there is sufficient interest and would
like to see residents from all sectors of our community taking part.
Following the Neighbourhood Planning introduction there was an
opportunity for light refreshments and discussion prior to our ordinary
meeting which commenced at 20.30.
During the Ordinary Meeting Lewannick Play Park was discussed. We are
chasing for final repairs to be made to the zip wire. The infants swing is also

Boundary Commission Review - Initial proposals for the South West region
The Boundary Commission for England has published its initial proposals for
the South West region.
There's an opportunity to give your views via the consultation website and to
attend the public hearings and speak (but you will need to book a place). Two
days of public hearings are scheduled at the Council Chamber, New County
Hall, Truro on Thursday 10th November (10am-8pm) and Friday 11th
November (9am-5pm) . Please note that the Boundary Commission is asking
for views to be submitted on its proposals by no later than the 5th December
2016.
The reason for the review is for the Commission to deliver electoral equality
for voters across Cornwall.
New division boundaries and council size are scheduled to be implemented
at the local elections in 2021.
You are able to view and interact with the mapping at:
www.consultation.Igbce.org.uk during periods of consultation.
