Istmo Carlos AmeghinoEs la “Puerta de entrada” a Península Valdés. Cuenta con un Centro de Visitantes donde recibirá toda la información que necesite y que hará más placentero y seguro su recorrido. Recomendamos que invierta parte de su tiempo en este lugar para planificar su visita. It is the “gateway” to Peninsula Valdes. It has a visitor centre where you will receive all the information you need and that will make your journey pleasant and safe. We recommend that you invest some of your time here to plan your visit.

Isla de los PájarosEsta isla, ubicada en el Golfo San José, alberga una gran variedad de aves. Si bien no se permite el acceso, desde la costa a través de binoculares instalados podrá observar la belleza del lugar. Descubrirá aquí también, los paisajes que inspiraron a Saint de Exupery para escribir su famoso libro "El Principito". This island, located in San Jose Gulf, hosts a variety of birds. While access to it is not allowed, you can watch the beauty of the place from the coast through binoculars installed there. You will also discover here, the landscapes that inspired Saint Exupery to write his famous book “The Little Prince”.

Puerto PirámidesEs el único poblado dentro de Península Valdés y entre los meses de junio y diciembre se realizan avistajes embarcados de Ballena Franca Austral.También encontrará hotelería, gastronomía, combustible y servicios. Es el único lugar de abastecimiento en toda la Península.

It is the only town in Peninsula Valdes and from June to December board sightings of Southern Right Whales are made.You'll also find hotels, restaurants, fuel and services. It is the only place for supplies inside the area.

Punta Pirámide

Punta NorteAquí hay una importante colonia de Lobos Marinos que se mezclan con la visita de Elefantes Marinos. Entre febrero y mayo con un poco de suerte pueden observarse grupos de Orcas que vienen a alimentarse brindando un majestuoso espectáculo.Here is a large colony of Sea Lions that are mixed with the visit of Elephant Seals. Between February and May with a little luck Orca's groups can be seen that come to feed providing a magnificent show.

Punta DelgadaEsta playa con acantilados posee una alta densidad de Elefantes Marinos, tanto en época de reproducción como de muda de piel. Allí encontrará un mirador y cartelería explicativa.This beach with cliffs has a high density of elephant seals, both as breeding season and moulting season. There you will find a viewpoint and information.

It is a geographical formation of stunning beauty where you can see a small colony of penguins and 5 km. south, a colony of elephant seals in Punta Cantor. Both have trails and information.

Caleta ValdésEs un accidente geográfico de asombrosa belleza donde puede observarse una pequeña colonia de Pingüinos de Magallanes y a 5 km., en Punta Cantor, un apostadero de Elefantes Marinos. Ambos poseen senderos y cartelería

Salina ChicaAquí encontrará un pequeño mirador con cartelería informativa y algunos recorridos para conocer la salina, su fauna y características.Here you will find a small viewpoint with informative posters and some trails to get to know the salt pan, fauna and its characteristics.

La Península Valdés posee una superficie de 3625 Km . Sus costas, formadas por playas, acantilados y restingas, son bañadas por los golfos Nuevo, San José y San Matías, y por el océano Atlántico en el este. En esta pluralidad de formaciones y corrientes se genera la gran diversidad de fauna, flora y paisajes que convierte este lugar en uno de los más increíbles sitios para tomar contacto con la naturaleza.En el año 1999, fue declarada Patrimonio de la Humanidad por la UNESCO.En el año 2000, la Ley Provincial Nº 4617 crea el Sistema Provincial de Áreas Protegidas del Chubut. Pudiendo ser administradas por entes públicos no estatales, siendo en la actualidad, el Área Península Valdés la única que goza de este régimen.La Administración del Área Natural Protegida Península Valdés, creada por el gobierno provincial por ley Nº 4722, y a la cual se le encomienda la administración y gestión directa del área, y en conjunto con la Secretaria de Turismo de la Provincia, autoridad de aplicación de las Áreas Protegidas, trabajan para lograr un adecuado manejo de este importante lugar y sus recursos.En el 2001 se le da a Península Valdés, la categoría de Área Protegida con Recursos Manejados (Categoría VI - UICN).

The Valdés Peninsula has an area of 3625 Km. its coasts, made up of beaches, cliffs and shoals; they are bathed by the New gulf, San Jose and San Matias gulfs, and the Atlantic Ocean in the East. In this plurality of formations and streams large diversity of fauna, flora and landscapes are generated and make this place one of the most amazing sites to get in contact with nature.In 1999, Peninsula Valdés was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.In 2000, Provincial Law No. 4617 creates the Chubut Protected Areas Provincial System. These areas can be managed by non-state public entities, and nowadays the Peninsula Valdes Area is the only one under this regime.Peninsula Valdés Natural Protected Area Administration, created by the provincial government by Law No. 4722, that has been entrusted the direct management of the area, in conjunction with the Secretary of Tourism in the Province, enforcement authority of Protected Areas, work for proper handling of this important place and its resources.In 2001 it is given to Peninsula Valdes, the category of Protected Area Managed Resource (Category VI - IUCN).

Desde sus acantilados puede observarse una colonia de Lobos Marinos y el área de reproducción de las Ballenas. También puede verse gran variedad de aves y una imponente vista del golfo Nuevo. Desde su costa puede contemplar-se el atardecer sobre el mar, algo poco común en territorio argentino. From the cliffs a colony of sea lions can be observed as well as the reproductive area of Whales. You can also see a variety of birds and a stunning view of the New Gulf. From its coast the sunset over the sea can be appreciated, something unusual in Argentina.
