    PROGRAM MISSION STATEMENT: The mission of the Journalism/Broadcasting program at Northern Essex Community College is to provide students with a

    general introduction to journalism, communications, and mass media, and to train them in the skills needed for working in the fields of print journalism,

    communications, or broadcasting. After completing this program, students are prepared for entry level positions in journalism, broadcasting, or

    communications, as well as to transfer into four-year colleges that offer majors in those areas.
