Hacienda La Conchita is owned and operated by the Jay Martin family. The Martin family moved to Guatemala as a mission outreach and part of the mission is to provide a sustainable economy for all the locals who work at La Conchita. Hacienda La Conchita has its own water source from several springs that burst from the sides of the mountains and also has sufficient water to process the coffee by way of a water wheel. Café La Conchita is shade grown and SHG classified (Strictly High Grown) coming from a frigid altitude of 5,000 ft. The varieties planted at La Conchita are Catuai and Borbon.
