HWLA is a foundation for health reform preparation in Los Angeles County
HWLA provides comprehensive health care services; not health insurance
Many, but not all, uninsured adult residents are eligible for HWLA Los Angeles County resident Documented citizenship or permanent legal resident (5
years) Income at or below 133% FPL annually ($15,282 for 1
person) 19 – 64 years old Ineligible for Medi-Cal (including pregnant women)

HEALTHY WAY LA (HWLA) – THE GATEWAY TO MEDI-CAL
Approx. 246,000 uninsured adults are enrolled in HWLA
HWLA members will automatically be enrolled into Medi-Cal on January 1, 2014

insurance)
