Charis Patrick is a Family & Marital Therapist, Trainer and Family Life Educator. She has attained her Masters in Social Science (Counseling) with Edith Cowen University (Australia) and obtained her Postgraduate Diploma in Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (Milwaukee, USA). In addition, she holds a Bachelor’s degree majoring in Social Work and Economics (NUS, Singapore). Charis has clinical experience in counseling for nearly 20 years working with children and youth with behavioral problems, pre- marital and married couples and individuals with personal developmental issues. With her rich experience in counseling, she was invited as guest lecturer and Clinical Supervisor with several tertiary institutions including Edith Cowan University and National Institute of Education. Charis is a much sought after speaker and trainer by schools, speaking to teachers, parents and students, as well as corporate companies. She has regaled thousands with her practical and enriching insights into family life. While based in Malaysia for nearly 7 years, she was invited in 2011 to be a columnist for the Malaysia Newspaper The Star, writing on issues related to teens and tweens. As her passion is to help strengthen families, she is often interviewed by major papers and media on social and family issues. She is happily married with 4 lovely children.
