Inorder to allow the proper operation of all safeguards incorporated in this display,observe the following basic rules for its installation, use, and servicing.
On Safety
U se only the pow er cord supplied w ith the unit. In case you use another pow ercord, m ake sure that it is certified by the applicable national standards if not beingprovided by the supplier. If the pow er cable is faulty in any w ay, please contact them anufacturer or the nearest authorized repair service provider for a replacem ent.
The pow er supply cord is used as the m ain disconnection device. Ensure that thesocket-outlet is easily accessible after installation.
O perate the display only from a pow er source indicated in the specifications ofthis m anual or listed on the display. If you are not sure w hat type of pow er supplyyou have in your hom e, consult w ith your dealer.
O verloaded A C outlets and extension cords are dangerous. So are frayed pow ercords and broken plugs. They m ay result in a shock or fire hazard. Call your servicetechnician for replacem ent.
D o not O pen the D isplay:There are no user serviceable com ponents inside.There are D angerous H igh Voltages inside, even w hen the pow er is O FF.Contact your dealer if the display is not operating properly.

It can cause electric shock.
On Installation
D o not allow anything to rest upon or roll over the pow er cord, and do not placethe display w here the pow er cord is subject to dam age.

Important Precautions
D o not use this display near w ater such as near a bathtub, w ashbow l, kitchensink, laundry tub, in a w et basem ent, or near a sw im m ing pool.D isplays are provided w ith ventilation openings in the cabinet to allow the releaseof heat generated during operation. If these openings are blocked, built-up heatcan cause failures w hich m ay result in a fire hazard. Therefore, N EVER:
Block the bottom ventilation slots by placing the display on a bed, sofa, rug, etc.Place the display in a built-in enclosure unless proper ventilation is provided.Cover the openings w ith cloth or other m aterial.Place the display near or over a radiator or heat source.
D o not rub or strike the Active M atrix LCD w ith anything hard as this m ay scratch,m ar, or dam age the Active M atrix LCD perm anently.
D o not press the LCD screen w ith your finger for a long tim e as this m ay causesom e afterim ages.
Som e dot defects m ay appear as Red, G reen or Blue spots on the screen.H ow ever, this w ill have no im pact or effect on the display perform ance.
If possible, use the recom m ended resolution to obtain the best im age quality foryour LC D display. If used under any m ode except the recom m ended resolution,som e scaled or processed im ages m ay appear on the screen. H ow ever, this ischaracteristic of the fixed-resolution LCD panel.
Leaving a fixed im age on the screen for a long tim e m ay cause dam age to thescreen and cause im age burn-in. M ake sure to use a screen saver on the product.
Burn-in and related problem s are not covered by the w arranty on this product.
D o not shock or scratch the front and sides of the screen w ith m etallic objects.O therw ise, it m ay cause dam age to the screen.
On Cleaning
U nplug the display before cleaning the face of the display screen.U se a slightly dam p (not w et) cloth. D o not use an aerosol directly on the displayscreen because over-spraying m ay cause electrical shock.
On Repacking
D o not throw aw ay the carton and packing m aterials. They m ake an idealcontainer in w hich to transport the unit. W hen shipping the unit to anotherlocation, repack it in its original m aterial.
On Disposal
The fluorescent lam p used in this product contains a sm all am ount of m ercury.D o not dispose of this product w ith general household w aste.
D isposal of this product m ust be carried out in accordance to the regulations ofyour local authority.

Connecting the Display
ImportantThis illustration depicts the general model of connection. Your monitor may differ from theitems shown in the picture.
Do not carry the product upside down holding only the stand base. The product may fall andget damaged or injure your foot.
Before setting up the monitor, ensure that the power to the monitor, the computer
system, and other attached devices is turned off.
Connecting the stand
1. Place the m onitor w ith its front facing dow nw ard on a soft cloth.
2. Check the direction of the Stand Body, and connect it into the H inge Body as show n inthe picture.
3. C heck the direction of the S tand B ase, and connect it into the Stand B ody.

1. Put a cushion or soft cloth on aflatsurface.
2. Place the m onitor face D ow n onthe cushion or soft cloth.
3. H old the H ead Part w ith one hand andhold the Stand Base Part w ith theother as show n in the picture and pullthe Stand Base Part lightly upw ard
5. Please pull the stand body lightly to separate it from the hinge body.

Connecting the Display
Before setting up the monitor, ensure that the power to the monitor, the computer
system, and other attached devices is turned off.
Positioning your display
1. Adjust the position of the panel in various w ays for m axim um com fort.Tilt Range : -5 ~ 20
Ergonomic
It is recommended that in order to maintain an ergonomic and comfortable viewing position, the
forward tilt angle of the monitor should not exceed 5 degrees.

Control Panel Functions
AUTO Button AUTO IMAGE ADJUSTMENTWhen adjusting your display settings, always press theAUTO button before entering the On ScreenDisplay(OSD). This will automatically adjust your displayimage to the ideal settings for the current screenresolution size (display mode).
The best display mode is
1280 x 1024
MENU Button Use this button to enter or exit the On Screen Display.
OSD LOCKED/UNLOCKED
This function allows you to lock the current controlsettings, so that they cannot be inadvertently changed.Press and hold the MENU button for several seconds.The message "OSD LOCKED" should appear.
You can unlock the OSD controls at any time by pushing
the MENU button for several seconds. The message"OSD UNLOCKED" should appear.

On Screen Display (OSD) Control Adjustment
Screen Adjustment
Making adjustments to the image size, position and operating parameters of
the display is quick and easy with the On Screen Display Control system.
A short example is given below to familiarize you with the use of the controls.
The following section is an outline of the available adjustments and selections
you can make using the OSD.
To m ake adjustm ents in the O n Screen D isplay, follow these steps:
Press the M EN U B utton, then the m ain m enu of the O SD appears.
To access a control, use the or B uttons. W hen the icon you w ant
becom es highlighted, press the SET B utton.
U se the / B uttons to adjust the im age to the desired level. U se the
SET B utton to select other sub-m enu item s.
Push the M EN U B utton once to return to the m ain m enu to select another
function. Push the M EN U B utton tw ice to exit from the O SD .
NOTE
Allow the display to stabilize for at least 30 m inutes before m aking im age adjustm ents.

No image appears
Check the following before calling for service.
No image appears
Do you see a "OSD LOCKED" message on the screen?
Is the power cord of the
display connected?
Is the power on and the
power indicator blue or
green?
Is the power indicator
amber?
Do you see an "OUT OF
RANGE" message on
the screen?
Do you see a "CHECK
SIGNAL CABLE"
message on the
screen?
Check and see if the power cord is connectedproperly to the power outlet.
Adjust the brightness and the contrast.
If the display is in power saving mode, try moving
the mouse or pressing any key on the keyboard tobring up the screen.
Try to turn on the PC.
This message appears when the signal from thePC (video card) is out of horizontal or vertical
frequency range of the display. See the
'Specifications' section of this manual and
configure your display again.
This message appears when the signal cablebetween your PC and your display is not
connected. Check the signal cable and try again.
You can secure the current control settings,so that they cannot be inadvertently changed.You can unlock the OSD controls at any timeby pushing the MENU button for severalseconds: the messageOSD UNLOCKED will appear.

Display image is incorrect

Press the AUTO button to automatically adjustyour display image to the ideal setting.
If the results are unsatisfactory, adjust the image
position using the H position and V position icon
in the on screen display.
Check Control Panel --> Display --> Settingsand see if the frequency or the resolution were
changed. If yes, readjust the video card to the
recommend resolution.
Press the AUTO button to automatically adjust
your display image to the ideal setting.If the results are unsatisfactory, decrease the
vertical bars or stripes using the CLOCK icon in
the on screen display.
Press the AUTO button to automatically adjustyour display image to the ideal setting.
If the results are unsatisfactory, decrease the
horizontal bars using the PHASE icon in the onscreen display.
Check Control Panel --> Display --> Settingsand adjust the display to the recommended
resolution or adjust the display image to the ideal
setting. Set the color setting higher than 24 bits
(true color).
Check if the signal cable is properly connectedand use a screwdriver to fasten if necessary.
Make sure the video card is properly inserted inthe slot.
Set the color setting higher than 24 bits (true color)at Control Panel - Settings.
Check if the screen is set to interlace mode and ifyes, change it to the recommend resolution.
