Chaplain’s MessageBy Rev. Graham Patterson, Chaplain The Center of the Lord’s Prayer: Forgiveness

“Forgive us our sins, (in the same way) as we have forgiven those who have sinned against us.”– Matthew 6:12, Living Bible

Recall a situation in which you had a significant problem with another person, something that was really bothering you. Maybe it was a gnawing resentment or a bitter grudge. Perhaps someone said, “Just let it go,” and you thought, “I’d love to; please tell me how?”

“Letting Go: Five Steps to Forgiveness” by Fr. Frank Desiderio tells us how - in his own words and own voice. In this program, we will learn the five steps of LET GO, and be shown ways to “get past our past” and eventually look back with some peace.

Forgiveness is good for our body, mind and spirit. Plenty of research shows that forgiveness helps heal our bodies and works in our brains to counteract the negative effects of anger. Forgiveness is not only a gift we can give to one another; it’s also a gift God can and wants to give us.
