We send you this letter and we are sure that the subject hereinabove mentioned will be taken into your kind consideration. As you know, the Omani society is made up of harmonious fabric from long time ago. Omani public gatherings, kno\\-n as Majalis or Sablah, play an important role in the life of Omanis. They are the places where people meet and discuss all public matters and hold their events either in the time of delight or distress. Therefore, they are a major part in the life of every Omani. Since the beginning of Oman' s renaissance until now, the role of these places is taking deeper roots in the society. It constitutes part of the Omani heritage handed do'Wn from our forefathers. It is also the place where our children learn more about good manners, hospitality and authentic Omani customs and traditions in relation to the respect for community members. It is also the place where children are taught the Glorious Koran, and this in particular is a pride for all of Omanis who are living on this cherished land. Based on the above, we the inhabitants of AI Mansour, Wafi area, undersigned in the attached list, hereby request you to include AI Mansour Public Majiis at Kamel and Wafi Province which is part of the Omani Majalis (Sablah) to be inscribed on the World Heritage List.
