Fault of SIP Trunk is recognized only by the fail of the regular (periodical) process of registering to SIP Server (provider).

(1) This function does not work for the non-register type SIP Provider.

(2) This function does not work if the problem (such like the sudden network trouble etc) happened between the interval of register process.It will work after the first fail of the register process.

Automatic system data convert (V1.0 V1.1)

When you upgrade the system from V1.0 to V1.1, you do not need to manually convert the DCSYS file.

(1) Upgrade the software from V1.0 to V1.1.

(2) System will restart automatically.

(3) While starting up after the software upgrading, the system automatically converts the DCSYS file in CF memory.

(4) You do not need both the initializing of the system after the software upgrading, and the manual DCSYS convert.

AC power-off event error display

When the system was halted by cutting off the AC power (without the shutdown command via WEB-MC), the system will record the minor error “Incorrect AC shut down” instead of “AC power down”.

And also the system ALARM LED turns on by this minor log.

(Note)

Manual power-switch OFF/ON operation would be recorded as this error.

Improve delayed call-start from KX-UT series

“Improve delayed call-start from KX-UT - 1Changing the default setting for the “Inter Digit Timer” for UT phones. The default value will be changed to 5 seconds as against the current value is 10 seconds. New parameter will be available in the new screen “Tool - 13.UT option setting - Timer for UT Series.” (default is 5sec)The value range is from 1 to 15 by the second.　

“Improve delayed call-start from KX-UT - 2Allows to program the dialing plan for UT phones from WEB-MC. Once an installer set the numbering plan, the system provides them to all UT phones.All UT phones recognize the dialing plan so that they will immediately make a call accordance with programmed numbering plan. 　　　　

“Improve delayed call-start from KX-UT - 3(Note)Dial plan of KX-UT has to be max 500characters. For the detailed manner of programming, please refer “6.2.1 Dial Plan” of the Administrator Guide of KX-UT.

Support for installing KX-UT at remote site

In case main unit and UT phones are installed in the different IP network segment, the registration of phones are failed since IP broadcast packet of UT phones cannot reach to the main unit.

To avoid this phenomenon, it is required to download manually created configuration tile which contains the entry of PBX server address. (See section “5.8.1 Assigning IP Addressing Information” in the Installation Manual.)

V1.1 software creates this configuration file automatically, and it can be downloaded using “File Transfer PBX to PC” utility so that user can easily download the file to UT phones.

File name is depending on the “Site Name”.In above example, site 01 name is “NS1000 QA rent”.Blank and other restricted character for Windows PC file name is converted to “_” (under bar).

The configuration file has the following text contents.

The red-colored part is the IP-Address of PBX. If you have Master and Slave unit, this part of each unit is different.

You do not need to rename the file from “UT_ACS_01NS1000_QA_rent.cfg” to “UT_ACS.cfg” which is explained in the manual for example. KX-UT accepts any file name if the contents are following to the requirements.

Step1 : Confirm IP Address of KX-UT 1) Press [Setting] or [Setup] button. 2) Select "Information Display", then press [ENTER]. 3) Select "IP address“ and check the current IP Address. 4) Press [CANCEL].

Step2 : Activate local Web program 1) Press [Setting] or [Setup] button. 2) Press [#][5][3][4]. (please do not select from menu !!) 3) Select "On" for "Embedded web", then press [ENTER].

Step3 : Access Web program 1) Open Web browser, and enter "http://“ followed by IP Address. 2) Enter following ID and Password. ID: instoperatoruserid Password: instpass 3) Select Maintenance Import Configuration File. 4) Click Browse… , and then select the configuration file (UT_ACS.cfg). 5) Press [Import] button to import the file.

Improve user profile programming (add range)

The function screen to create accounts for multiple user “Add Range of User” is difficult to find. GUI of V1.1 software has the entry “2.Add User – 2. Multiple Users” in the menu of WEB-MC. It allows to open the screen directly.

If there is (are) non-existing extension number between “from” and “to”, the Add-range program automatically skips them and creates the next extension number.The Add-range program does not stop.

(Note)

The Add-range program automatically skips ext.999 and ext.998 because they are Manager of UM.

The Add-range program takes good time before completion if you request good number of users.

For example: for creation of 500 users takes about 15 minutes.

if there is (are) extension which is already has User-Profile of it between “from” and “to”, the Add-range program automatically stops with error message.

You must upload the language data for “Others” if you want to use it.

(1) You must put “default.po” for “Others” language file. (fixed name)

(2) Open Maintenance Utility 2.File 1. File Transfer PC to PBX.

(3) Browse the language file, and press [Execute] to upload the file.

How to make “Others” language file ?

(1) Get the MS-EXCEL file for creating the translation table.

(3) Send the filled MS-EXCEL to the PSN.

(4) PSN creates the file “default.po” from your translation table, and presents it.

(2) Fill the MS-EXCEL table with the corresponding words of your language to the listed English words.

(5) Upload the presented “default.po” to your system.
