Thursday morning to Sunday morning: Siri Akand Path A continuous reading of the Siri Guru Granth Sahib. Individuals sign up for 1-hour time slots (two persons may also share a slot each reading for 30 minutes). It may be read in English or its original

Gurmukhi script. This is a collection of wise words from the Sikh masters and other enlightened beings. The unbroken reading creates a sound current that is a great blessing and wonderful to be a part of! All are welcome and no previous experience is necessary. Friday: 5 pm: Community Dinner 6:00pm- Guru Ram Das chanting. Soak in the healing vibration of Guru Ram Das. We will chant for 31 minutes.

7:00 pm- Yoga Nidra – the integrative sleep of the Yogis; a combination of alert awareness and deepest relaxation, beyond wakefulness and dreaming. It is an awakening of the deep stillness of what is asleep within you. Just $20

Saturday: 4:00am- Morning Sadhana- 4 am with the reciting of Japji Sahib, a sacred poem written by Guru Nanak, followed by an hour of yoga, and then an hour of Aquarian mantra chanting. People are invited to stay for a brief Ardas and Hukam. 8:00am- A simple breakfast will be served where we can discuss the day’s Seva opportunities.

9-11:00am- Opening the Voice with Harbhajan Kaur- This kirtan session will begin with opening up the breath and voice with various vocal exercises. Reflecting briefly upon our essential relationship to unlimited Self, Guru, Creative Energy, we will then allow the callings of our heart to come out in melodious prayer. We will also become acquainted with traditional invocations/Mangala Charans. 11:00am-Noon- At the Feet of the Guru: an introduction and immersion into the essence of Gurdwara with Siri Sevak Kaur 12-1:30- Lunch- A delicious vegetarian lunch will be served. Take part in lunch Seva or use the additional time to rest.

1:30-3:00pm- Mul Mantra, Discovering the Sacred Poetry of Guru Nanak with Siri Sevak Kaur. Learn about the Mul Mantra, which is known as Guru Nanak’s first composition and translates as the root mantra from which the Sikh spiritual foundation is built. 3-4:30pm- Opening to the Heart of Devotion Through Kirtan with Sangat Dhyan Kaur and Sat Tara Kaur. Using gentle yoga and meditation we will open the body and connect

to our hearts, so that we are more receptive to the sacred sound current of the Shabad we will be learning. By allowing ourselves to open our hearts to sacred sound current, we begin to open up the space of devotion. You will leave with tools to continue singing on your own. 6:00pm- Langar- Langar is a special opportunity to come together as a community and share a meal. This is a wonderful time to offer Seva, or selfless service, to help with cooking, serving, or clean-up. Please contact the office if you are interested in helping.

Sunday: Live Sadhana starts at 4:40am. 7:30-9am the Bhog of the Akand Path which includes: the Sloks of the 9th Guru, Five Pauris of JapJi Sahib, and the Arti. Beautiful musical conclusion of the Akand Path and Gurdwara. 9:15am: Make Prasad (a delicious offering for the Guru) or prepare the Gurdwara for the 11am service. 10:15am: Help with the Prakash (“waking up”) the Gurmukhi Bir (the large one volume Siri Guru Granth Sahib in Gurmukhi text) & learn how to find the Hukam in English. 11am-12:30pm: Gurdwara followed by Langar.
