We think about cities as products.
We believe it is possible to build new
satellite cities (50-100k people).
Inspiration: Work is about to start on a high-density, car-free "satellite city" for 80,000 people that will be built from scratch in a rural location close to Chengdu and later replicated in other parts of China.
People are open to new options Co-working is huge for a reason > cities can be lonely People want to live next to their friends Urban walkable cities are becoming too expensive for people that work in creative industries Millienials and retired baby boomers don’t want to live in the suburbs
Suburbs 3.0 No ownership No cars Co-living Co-working Close enough to major metros, with people commuting a maximum of 2 days/week
Who will live there initially? Startup people / Remote workers: 1-12 months Writers/Painters: 1-12 months Architects: 1-3 months Software engineers: 1-6 months Makers: 1-3 months

Appendix: Alice laughed. “There's no use trying,” she said. “One can't believe impossible things.” “I daresay you haven't had much practice,” said the Queen. “When I was your age, I always did it for half-an-hour a day. Why, sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast!"
