FIXED MIND-SET!!!
The most important thing for a
FIXED MIND-SET person
is to not look stupid!
GROWTH MIND-SET!!!
People with a GROWTH MIND-SET are not afraid of failure but see it as a challenge.
They understand that effort is key to achievement!
“Students with a GROWTH MIND-SET have been shown to
make much more progress in school than
those with a FIXED MIND-SET!”
I lost more races than I won!
Power of YET!!!!!“I’ve failed!”
“I haven’t got a C/A* YET!”
“I can’t do this!”
“I can’t do this YET!”
“I can’t do Science!”
“I can do Science, but haven’t got this bit YET!”

What you can do….IGCSE Language GCSE Literature
• Support coursework! Students will be able to draft and re-draft and will also need to research topics for the Response to a Text piece.
• You can also support the Speaking and Listening part of the course – students will need to make a short presentation followed up by a Q&A session. They will have preparation booklets to support them and there is a lot in there that you can help them with.
• Buy the texts:
‘Of Mice and Men’
‘Animal Farm’
Both can be bought cheaply (from the internet or second hand) and students will need to read them at least twice to be prepared for the exam.
