DNA Y chromosome tests , performed by FTDNA-University of Arizona , showed direct patrilineal

connection with number of families with Levit tradition. That means that we share common male Levitancestor. Our calculation is that we have branched from one person before 500/700-1000 years ago,

most probably on territory of The Kingdom of Poland.

Those Levit families are (most of them showed in 37 and some in 67 marker DNA matches lists for

Alfred Krupa);

1. Levy ( 37 Marker /Genetic Distance – 3)

2. Goldsmith-Levy

3. Zwick  ( 37 Marker /Genetic Distance – 3)

4. Brandt

5. Loebman

6. Friedman ( 37 Marker /Genetic Distance – 4)

7. Kushner

8. Marks (67 Marker/ Genetic Distance – 4)

9. Sherman ( 37 Marker /Genetic Distance – 3)

10. Howard (Horwitz) ( 37 Marker /Genetic Distance – 4)

12. Sooper

13. Liebman

The Cohanim families are;

1.  Blueglass

2.  Bluglass

3.  Black

4. Porter  (67 Marker/ Genetic Distance – 5)

Most likely there is much more , but so far we didnt find out did they claim Levit origin,- or perhaps

 some of them lost oral tradition (knowledge) due to the thousand of years of hardships and relocations.

Dr. Bennet Greenspan confirmed that our DNA matches one Levit from Israel.(but it not matches

number of other families , as there is Levit tradition distribution in several haplogroups-multiple origin

of Ashkenazi Levits)
