FITNESSACCESS TO THE FITNESS CENTER IS RESTRICTED TO GUESTS 16 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER (ID REQUIRED), UNLESS ENROLLED IN A FITNESS CENTER CLASS OR PROGRAM.

Members and guests are asked to carry identification and membership cards or Day Passes at all times.

Towels are required for every person working out in the Fitness Center. Towels may be purchased at the Gymnasium Guest Service Desk for $3 (subject to availability). There is a 20-minute maximum usage time per machine during peak use periods. Classes are subject to cancellation due to low enrollment. Appropriate exercise attire required (workout clothing and closed-toe athletic shoes). Shirt and shoes are required at all times in the Fitness Center.

TEEN FITNESS CENTER ORIENTATION Ages 14 - 15 The Teen Fitness Center Orientation provides youth ages 14 - 15 the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of strength and resistance training, use of machines and basic etiquette of exercising in the Fitness Center. Success participation in this one hour session, including the completion of a brief exit evaluation, allow teens access to the Fitness Center. *Privileges are dependent on continued respectful adherence to Fitness Center rules. Day/ Time: Wednesdays/ 5:00 - 6:00pm Location: Fitness Center Fee: $15/ Members only

FITNESS FUNDAMENTALS New members are invited to sign-up for our FREE fitness orientation program. During the course of two 1-hour session, new members will be introduced to the full Fitness Center and provided with operation instructions for our cardio machines, free weights and strength training machines. Sign-up at the Fitness Center Guest Services Desk. Contact the Gymnasium Guest Services for more information: 619.269.1460.

BODY COMPOSITIONA fitness professional can help determine body composition - the percentage of lean muscle mass versus body fat. This information is helpful in developing of a personal fitness program and assists in setting attainable fitness goals. Body Compositions are done by appointment only. Cycle in the Kroc Center’s custom group cycling studio for 45 minutes, then head out for 45 minutes of leg toning, core strengthening, and upper body muscle building that will leave you pumped and perspiring.

CYCLE REWIND Group Cycling featuring your favorite tunes from years past and beyond. Enjoy riding inside the Kroc Center’s custom group cycling studio while grooving to the oldies!

KROC CYCLEHit the hills, power the sprints, chase down the competition and learn firsthand the definition of the word “endurance.” This ride has it all, and it rocks! Solid cycling principles, top-notch coaching, and awesome tunes, all in our custom group cycling studio make this a workout to remember.

MELLOW CYCLINGGroup Cycling with a mellow approach. Paced for beginners, yet challenging enough for the intermediate and advanced rider. Enjoy riding inside the Kroc Center’s custom group cycling studio and beat the mid-day heat.

SWEAT FACTORY!A high-energy version of group cycling, offering intense intervals, dynamic resistance changes, and proven advanced calorie burning cycling techniques. Class is held in our “hot” group cycling studio with absolutely no A/C and no fans. Guaranteed to help participants burn maximum calories and sweat like never before!

MATURE ACTIVE ADULTS SERIES (Classes limited to 20 Students)

SILVER SNEAKERS I - MUSCULAR STRENGTH & RANGE OF MOVEMENTHave fun and move to music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of motion, and activity for daily living skills. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a ball are offered for resistance; a chair is used for seated and/or standing support. A medical release may be required for those with existing medical conditions. SILVER SNEAKERS II - CARDIO CIRCUIT Combine fun and fitness to increase cardiovascular and muscular endurance and power with a standing circuit workout. Upper body strength work with hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a ball is alternated with non-impact aerobic choreography. A chair is offered for support, stretching, and relaxation exercises. A medical release may be required for those with existing medical conditions.

SILVER SNEAKERS - CARDIOFIT CardioFit is perfect for participants who are fit and active, as well as those who want a safe, effective and energizing activity. Hand-held weights or elastic tubing with handles can be used for the strength training segment that follows the “cardio” segment. The SilverSneakers chair offers stability or support options for abdominal and stretching exercises from the floor.

SILVER SNEAKERS YOGA STRETCH Taught from seated and standing positions. Participants learn a variety of safe and effective options designed to increase flexibility and balance to improve well being.

MOVEMENT & RHYTHM(Classes limited to 20 Students unless otherwise noted CAPOEIRA WORKOUT A unique holistic dance/martial art that provides practitioners with physical, mental and emotional health benefits. Capoeira movements are combined with the elegance of dance, the power of martial arts, the science of kinesiology and the rhythms of Afro-Brazilian music.

SCRIPTURCISE Work the body and soul by combining Scriptures with exercise. Increase flexibility, strength and tone with encouragement from the Bible. Appropriate for all fitness levels. A Kroc Center original.

STEP AEROBICS This class is energy-filled and heart pumping, combining step movements with strength and conditioning exercises on the floor. All levels welcome. Class Limit: 13 students

ZUMBA ®The Zumba® program fuses hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy-to-follow moves, resulting in a one-of-a-kind fitness program. Routines feature interval training sessions in which fast and slow rhythms and resistance training are combined to tone and sculpt, while burning fat. Achieve long-term benefits while experiencing an absolute blast in this exciting calorie-burning, body-energizing, awe-inspiring workout meant to engage and captivate for life!

STRENGTH & TONE (Classes limited to 20 Students unless otherwise noted) ABSOLUTE ABS!Work your core like never before. In this session your abs and back get a hard-core workout with stabilizing movements and strength training.

BODY BASICSThis class starts with the basics of total body strength and development, preparing you for your maximum fitness potential! Explore new ways to improve your body using dynamic and explosive movement.

BODY SCULPTINGCircuit Training workout utilizing resistance training, class cardio exercises, Pilates and isometrics to sculpt and define specific body parts. This class is medium to fast paced.

BURN OUT! Looking for an extra kick? Burn Out! is a full body workout combining resistance training with dumbbells and resistance bands, and cardiovascular endurance drills. A core and ab workout that shapes and sculpts the body unlike anything else.

CORE, FLOOR, & MOREA combination of basic step choreography, core sculpting, and more! This class teaches the basics of step aerobics, with an additional focus on strengthening the core muscles as well as working the entire body into a lean, toned, sculpted machine! A Kroc Center original.

ON THE BALLA full body workout on the Swiss Exercise Ball, using light weights, Pilates method for core strengthening & stretching to upbeat music. Very lively and fun, this aerobic workout will refresh muscle tone and increased coordination.Class Limit: 16 students

PUMP! Total body strength and conditioning class utilizing a variety of free weights and band resistance, all while keeping an up-tempo cardio pace.

TOTAL TONING Strengthening and toning for the major muscle groups using a variety of strength and sculpting techniques, dumbbells, and body resistance, participants will tailor their workout to optimize results.

STRETCH & FLEX SERIES Yoga- style workouts(Classes limited to 20 Students unless otherwise noted) AM YOGAAll of the things expected from a great yoga class, offered at a time to relax and energize participants for the day ahead. GENTLE HATHA YOGAA mat-based yoga class with postures designed to Improve balance, flexibility, muscle tone, and range of motion. More challenging than chair-based yoga, but less challenging than traditional yoga.

FLOW YOGA (FORMERLY A.M. YOGA VINYASA)

A high-energy yoga routine with dynamic, flowing sequences of postures designed to build strength at the edge of flexibility, with an emphasis on endurance. Expect a challenging and athletic class with rhythmic music and a variety of routines

MAT PILATES A medium-paced floor workout with an emphasis on posture, this class unites stretching and deep breathing to increase your flexibility, mobility, and core muscles. POWER YOGA (FORMERLY P.M. YOGA VINYASA)

A fast-paced, high-energy yoga routine with dynamic, flowing sequences of postures designed to build strength at the edge of flexibility. Expect a challenging and athletic class with rhythmic music and a variety of routines.

SUNRISE YOGAGreet the sun with a yoga practice that combines gentle warm-ups and a variety of seated, standing, reclining, and balance yoga poses with breath awareness. The class is designed to awaken all the systems of the body and to establish a positive outlook to carry on through the day. A Kroc Center original

TAI CHI Tai Chi will familiarize participants with postures and breathing exercises, that are the precursor to learning Chi-Kung. Increase agility, flexibility, balance, strength, and coordination. This is a medium-paced class.

Classes are 50 minutes in duration, unless otherwise noted. Classes are restricted to ages 16 and up unless otherwise noted or the participant provides the class instructor with a physician’s note. The Kroc Center reserves the right to restrict class sizes. Classes are offered on a first-come, basis only. To reduce the risk of injury and prevent class disruptions, no admittance will be allowed ten minutes after the class is scheduled to begin. Classes listed are subject to change without notice.

AI CHI (FLOWING AQUATICS ENERGY)Ages 16 and overAi Chi marries the eastern art of Tai Chi with aquatic therapy. It promotes improvements in deep breathing, coordination, balance, flexibility, and muscle strength. Location: Therapy Pool AQUACIZE!Ages 16 and overA resistance exercise program used to build strength and endurance utilizing specialized water fitness equipment. Appropriate for all fitness levels.Location: Recreation Pool ARTHRITIS FOUNDATION AQUATIC EXERCISEAges 16 and overClasses include a series of pool activities led by certified Arthritis Foundation instructors. Participants are guided through a selection of 85 movements designed by exercise specialists, geared to reduce the pain and stiffness associated with arthritis. With the aid of water’s buoyancy and resistance, participants improve flexibility, strength and range of motion. Swimming skills are not required.Location: Therapy Pool

PARENT & CHILD LESSONS

WATERBABIES Ages 6 months - 3 yearsA swim class for infants and toddlers accompanied by their parents or caregivers. Infants can enter the program when they can hold up their own head (at least six months old is recommended). Through guided practice sessions, children learn skills such as water entry, bubble blowing, front kicking, back floating, and underwater exploration. Children must wear swim diapers/plastic pants to enter pool.

PRESCHOOL & YOUTH LESSONS

TINY TOTS - INTRODUCTION TO WATER SKILLSAges 3 - 5 Introduce inexperienced or fearful children to the water in a fun setting. Using toys and games, children learn basic water safety skills while gaining confidence in the water. Skills learned include putting face in the water, blowing bubbles through mouth and nose, front and back floating, kicking and jumping into the pool to the instructor. No parents allowed in lessons.

The Kroc Center offers group lessons for: parents with infants and toddlers; youth lessons for children ages three to 16; adult lessons for ages 16 and over; and private lessons for all ages. We follow the American Red Cross Learn-to-Swim program using certified Red Cross instructors. Children in group lessons are evaluated on the first day to ensure enrollment in proper level. We reserve the right to change the schedule and/or cancel lessons as needed.

Our indoor Skatepark contains elements that challenge both the beginning and advanced skate boarder. For maximum safety, kneepads, elbow pads, and a helmet are required for all skaters 17 years old and under. Helmets are required for skaters 18 years old and over; elbow pads and kneepads are recommended. A waiver signed by a parent or legal guardian is required prior to admission to the facility for participants under the age of 18.

Skatepark Rules & Regulations The Skatepark is for skateboarding and

rollerblading only. All other uses are prohibited. Sorry, no bikes or scooters.

1. All skaters must have a signed liability waiver on file. For skaters under 18 years of age, a parent or guardian must sign waiver in person, or have waiver notarized.

2. Minimum age for skaters is six years old. All children under the age of 11 must be accompanied by an adult (18 years & older)

3. All skaters must wear the appropriate safety gear, including: helmet, elbow pads, knee pads, shirt and appropriate shoes. In addition, wrist guards are strongly recommended. Failure to wear protective gear may result in loss of use privileges.

4. All skaters must skate safely at all times, and avoid collisions with others. Fighting or other aggressive, disruptive, or rude behavior will result in ejection from the Park. Ejected skaters must obtain Manager approval prior to returning.

5. All equipment used by skaters must be in good condition, and must not damage the Park or its structures.

6. Spectators are not allowed in the skating areas.

7. All forms of graffiti, tagging or other means of defacing Center property is strictly prohibited. Such activity may result in closure of the facility until it can be cleaned and/or repaired. Violators will be ejected and not permitted back without the approval of the Manager. Payment of repair costs will be required to return.

8. Food, drinks, or glass containers are not allowed in skating areas.

9. Drugs, alcohol, weapons, or profanity are not allowed.

10. Loitering or skating outside the park, including sidewalks, parking lots, brickwork, planters, or other ornamental surfaces is not allowed.

11. Items such as benches, tables, wood materials or other objects may not be used as ramps or jumps and will not be allowed in the Skatepark.

12. Modifications to the Skate Park are not allowed.

A youth basketball league designed to help improve children’s sports skills while emphasizing fun, sportsmanship, teamwork, and the development of self-esteem. Offering recreational play to all skill levels — and everybody plays! All players must attend the first day of practice for skill assessment in order to be placed on a team. Teams practice on Monday & Friday nights, with league play on Saturdays. Session fee includes jersey, team picture, awards, and end-of-season banquet admission for participant.
