cake + rice bran + Vitamin and

mineral ( 50% of the diet) @3-5% of

body weight of stocking material in

two split doses during morning and

evening. Demand feeding should be

used.

Pre stocking: Dewatering and Drying of ponds to remove unwanted

weeds and weed fishes and others.

Manuring: Cattle dung: @ 10-20 tonnes /ha/year, Urea: @ 100 kg/ha/year

SSP: @ 50 kg/ha/year, 20-30% applied as basal dose a fortnight before

stocking. After

Stocking: Remaining manure should be applied in equal installments at

fortnightly intervals.

Lime: @ 200-250 kg/ha/year.

Aeration: Mechanically/Manually

Water exchange: if possible or water source is available then should be

done at regular intervals. Water quality should be checked at regular

interval.

Winter Feeding should be minimized during

winter. Instead of two only one dose

should be applied.

Manuring should be checked or stopped during winter season. But lime

should be used at regular intervals. Water exchange should be done at

regular intervals.

Rainy Fish seed is stocked in this season

because it’s the breeding season.

Feed should also be given in powder

form. Powdered feed should be

spread on the surface of water so

young ones easily get their feed.

Manuring should be done at regular intervals. In this season water

exchange and aeration should not be needed much more. Water quality

should be checked at regular intervals and maintained to check the

disease outbreak or mortality due to the environmental factors.

FeedbackFarmers to KVK Ensure the timely availability of quality seed of location specific

varieties.

Primary assurance for rate of farm produce.

Technology for minimize the risk from climate change.

There should be prompt and reliable facilities for soil and water testing.

The department of Agriculture should provide the desire input in time as

per the recommendation of KVK.

The seed of new varieties produced at instructional farm should be

available to local farmer on priority.

KVK Scientist should have regular diagnostic survey in the district.

The diagnosis of problem and its effective management should reach to
