The fnal idea: I made the letter S which stands or somethingstrange in the nature, something unexpected, unexplained. I wantedto huminize the Icelandic land. The land is transorming rom solidground i nto the human letter S.

Material and how i buildt it: I tried dierent ways to do the letter. Itried strings, vax and then I discovered the oam. The oam is usuallyused by carpenters to x doors. I began with drawing the letter on alive size paper. Then I placed it on the foor and spreyed the oam onthe drawing to orm the letter. I painted it black and put some hairson it to draw out a human character. I hung it on the wall and put apiece o Icelandic lava stones under the letter on the foor to repre-sent the connection to the land.
