CAMERA SHOTS

Establishing shot- a number of establishing shots are used to remind the audience that the show is set in new york this includes master shots and wide shots being used really showing of the lifestyle of Kim and Kourtney and what life in new york is like.

Close ups- close ups are used a number of time firstly they are used during arguments or awkward moments to show of the facial features of the people in the situation to pass the effects of the situations back onto the viewers. They are also used during interviews to give the effect of to the audience that they are getting the one on one opinion of the person speaking.

Two shots- these are used the majority time through out the show as it is called (Kim and Kourtney) meaning that it involves them doing things in new york so the majority of time the show will include them both in a shot.

EDITS

Cuts- each shot is edited in with a simple cut to add in the amount of camera shots needed

Transtions- are used going onto a new scene, the first reason for this is because it become more interesting for audience to see than just a plain cut and it also signals to the audience that the scene is changing.

Short takes- as the show is looking into their lifestyle it involves a lot of their social life etc. so short takes are used when they are talking to each other ,friends or partners this makes it easy to keep up with the pace of the conversation and make sure it is clear to the audience who is saying what.

Fast motion- this was used during the establishing shots to show the fast lifestyle that is lived in new york

SOUND

Music- the music is very upbeat and jazzy during the series to show the good and enjoyable lifestyle that the two girls are living, this music can sometimes drop dependant on the mood e.g. slow down if there is a moment when someone is crying.

Voice over- these are sometimes used so that you can hear someone opinion while watching the situation unveil.

MISE-EN-SCENE

Costume- being a show that is commonly related with fashion all the people are shown as very formal and fashionable in what they wear.

Locations- the locations used in this show are very posh and upper class to show the audience what sort of life the girls live and some of the sort of the places they are privileged to go to.

Make up- is wore by all of the people in the show to present themselves as perfect as possible, reason for this is because they are related with fashion and have sponsors with in the industry who they want to impress.

Likes

I liked the show as it was very interesting and fast flowing in the way it goes, something is always going on with in it and it is good to see the sort of lives that the people on the show are privileged to live as it is something that most common people will not experience.

Dislikes

Feel like sometimes the show can be quiet over exaggerated and scripted in the way that the girls already have been told what they have to do meaning that we are not actually having a insight into their life.
