Cloud NI9E - Asia 2013 Tour !Kensho Kuma is a bilingual MC representing 510 Berkeley, California. Kuma was born in Yokohama, Japan, and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. He rhymes in English and Japanese and has performed at famed clubs and international festivals including The Yue Festival in Shanghai, and has shared the stage with artists ranging from Talib Kweli to Ozomatli, Immortal Technique to Faithless, and the Hieroglyphics to Hifana. Kensho Kuma is a 17 year veteran of West Coast American Hip Hop culture & community as well performing regularly across 5 Japanese and 6 Chinese major music markets. His collaborative album with Cloud NI9E “the Program E.P.” released in 2013 sold out in Japan; the duo successfully completed their first South East Asia tour last summer including dates in Thailand and Vietnam. They are prepared to up the ante during their Asia Summer residency July-Sept.

DJ Cloud NI9E Hip Hop DJ and producer based in Tokyo, Japan. He has been creating tracks since the mid-nineties and his production is heavily influenced by jazz, rock, and soul. Cloud received his greatest accolade last year, when he was drafted into the Ficus Collective to partake in the “Foliage” compilation by the late Nujabes’ Hydeout Productions. “Foliage” also featured Jay-Z’s producer 9th Wonder. His debut was marked by the 2009 “Day Dreaming EP” released from his own Musou Productions imprint, and was critically acclaimed in mainland Japan and throughout Europe. Beatsmith also holds down a residency at Tokyo’s Shimokitazawa Ghetto Hip Hop event, which serves as a who’s who party for the metropolis’ dense rap scene. The regular event is widely acknowledged as the nation’s most respected Hip Hop event; Cloud NI9E recently rocked with DJ Honda at the party’s seven year anniversary. Cloud NI9E is currently preparing the release of his much anticipated solo debut album “Alternative” ! scheduled to be released summer of 2014.
