Next we had a very special guest in the session. It was Mr.Saifi Khan from Twincling

society, Hyderabad. He was there with us to conduct a seminar and workshop on Linux

and Open source software. He conducted an interactive session with the students. In his

address, he urged the students to gain knowledge on the latest scripting languages and

command over open source software technologies towards which the present IT industry

is moving. He said that this would give the students an edge over the others while

applying in various MNCs.

The guest of the session was felicitated with a memento.

Later William Kumar Mosses Jr. (Y5CS300) spoke few words about the Teachers’ Day

and as a tribute to all the teachers in the department a standing ovation was given for their

constant support and guidance to the students.

Next a team debate was conducted by Y.Shruthi (Y6CS302) and K.Tejasvi

(Y6CS310).There were three rounds. The first round was between Team A and Team B.

The topic was “Internet surfing and web chatting – a way to the constructive world.”

The second round was between Team C and Team D. The topic was “Death Penalty - a

way to correct the criminal behavior.”

The third round was between the winners of the first two rounds. Team A and Team D.

The topic was “Is Dress code a necessity?” There was a great deal of participation from

the students and the event was very competitive.

interview selection procedure

They also discussed the achievements and their future goals. The session was
