Sehr geehrte Mitarbeiter und Leser,
wir blicken auf einen erfolgreichen Auftakt ins Jahr 2012 zurück und sind mittlerweile daran gewöhnt, keine simplen Standardcontainer mehr auf der Fertigungsstraße zu sehen.
Nach den hohen Investitionen in präzise und leistungsstarke Technologie der neuen Press- und Schweißanlage befinden wir uns bei der Ein-führungsphase neuer Planungs- und Steuerungssys-teme der Fertigungsanlage, und zwar unter voller Auslastung und erhöhter Produktion. Ein schwie-riger Weg, jedoch der einzig mögliche. Die Zukunft gehört, wer hohen Anforderungen an Qualität entspricht, Liefervollständigkeit und kurzfristige Liefertermine bietet.
Derzeit arbeiten wir verstärkt an der Fertigstellung des neuen, architektonisch kühn konzipierten Kan-tinen- und Umkleidegebäudes. Planung und Umse-tzung erfolgt in Eigenregie, was uns hoch erfreut.

Our company has successfully entered 2012 and we are slowly getting used to the fact that we don’t see those simple standard containers on the production line any more.
After considerable investments in precision, high--performance technology in our new pressing and weld shops, our company is now introducing new planning and line control methods, running at full capacity and increased production. Although we have chosen a tough path, it is the only one. The future is for those who can meet high customer quality & completion requirements whilst meeting strict deadlines.
We are now working very hard to complete the design and preparatory work on the construction of a striking new building canteen and changing-ro-oms building. We will design and build it ourselves, something we can be proud of.
We would like to thank first of all our customers, who put their trust in us by placing new orders. I would also like to thank all of you who accept these challenges on a daily basis to create magnifi-cent objects and values despite all the obstacles.

Vážení spolupracovníci a čtenáři,
naše společnost má za sebou úspěšný vstup do roku 2012 a my si pomalu zvykáme na to, že na výrobní lince už nevidíme jednoduché standardní kontejnery.
Po vysokých investicích do přesných a výkon-ných technologií na nové lisovně a svařovně se naše společnost nachází v etapě zavádění nových způsobů plánování a řízení linky. To vše při ostrém provozu a zvýšené produkci. I když je to cesta těžká, je to cesta jediná možná. Budoucnost patří těm, kteří zvládnout plnit vysoké požadavky zákazníků na kvalitu a úplnost dodávek a to vše často při rych-lých termínech dodání.
Nyní velmi usilovně pracujeme na dokončení projekčně – přípravných pracích pro vybudování nové, odvážně architektonicky navržené, budovy jídelny a šaten. Navrhneme i postavíme si ji sami, a to nás může těšit.
Poděkování za důvěru v naši cestu patří především našim zákazníkům, kteří do nás vkládají opětovně důvěru a dávají nám nové zakázky. Stejnou úctu chci vyjádřit i vám všem, kteří denně tyto velké výzvy přijímáte a vytváříte přes všechny překážky úžasné věci a hodnoty.

Ende 2011 konnten Sie feststellen, dass KOMA MO-DULAR für das Jahr 2012 markante Identitätsverän-derungen plant. Nach erfolgter Ausschreibung wurden damit zwei Firmen beauftragt - die Kom-munikationsagentur artEcho und das Graphikstu-dio ReDesign.
Das Studio ReDesign war von der Aufgabe, unserer Firma einen visuellen Stil zu kreieren, begeistert. „Wir halten Container und mit diesen verbundenes Design für eine insgesamt aufregende Idee. Die Typo-graphie der Container von Maersk, Lloyds oder PQ ist schlichtweg hervorragend, besonders wenn man be-denkt, dass aus ihnen ein Haus oder Wochenendhaus entstehen kann…“ so Klára Kvízová und Petr Krejzek von ReDesign.
Das Kreativteam verschrieb sich bei der Gestaltung der neuen Identität dem Quadrat, welches im Gegen-teil zu der ursprünglichen Marke nunmehr als allei-niges Symbol dient. Das komplette Design beruht auf Zusammensetzung von Quadrat und Rechteck. Diese bestimmen sodann den Rhythmus von verwendetem Schrifttyp (Font Purista) sowie Bildmaterial.
Wir hoffen, dass Ihnen unsere neue Identität gefällt, und zwar nicht nur die optische.
At the end of 2011, thanks to the new-look bulletin, you perhaps noticed that KOMA MODULAR intends to dedicate 2012 to making some major changes to its identity. Two firms succeeded in the tender – the artEcho communication agency, which provides consultancy and is in charge of all the texts, and the ReDesign graphic studio, which won the tender to create a new visual style for our company.
The ReDesign studio approached the creation of our new image with enthusiasm. “The truth is that we actually consider containers and their design quite exciting. The typos on containers from companies such as Maers, Lloyd or PQ are just great, so why not use them to build a home or a cottage?” confirm Klara Kvizova and Petr Krejzek from ReDesign.
In creating our visual identity, the creative team used the square, which they made an independent symbol, unlike the original. The complete design is then based on a square and a rectangle. These deter-mine the rhythm of the letters (Purista is the chosen font) and images in the grid.
We hope you find our new identity, and not just our image, attractive and appealing.
Na konci roku 2011 jste díky nové podobě bulletinu mohli poprvé zaznamenat, že KOMA MODULAR chce rok 2012 zasvětit výrazným změnám své dosavadní identity. Ve vypsaném výběrovém řízení uspěly dvě firmy – komunikační agentura art Echo, která splňuje poradenskou roli a má na starosti veškeré textování, a grafické studio ReDesign, jež vyhrálo konkurz na nový vizuální styl firmy.
Studio ReDesign přistoupilo k úkolu vytvořit vizu-ální styl naší firmy s nadšením. „My totiž samotné kontejnery považujeme, i design s nimi spojený, za celkem vzrušující. Typo na kontejnerech společností Maersk, Lloyds nebo PQ je jednoznačně skvělá, natož potom si z nich postavit obydlí, nebo chatu.“ Potvrzují Klára Kvízová a Petr Krejzek z ReDesignu.
Kreativní tým při tvorbě nové vizuální identity navázal na symbol čtverce, který ovšem oproti původní značce povýšil do samotného symbo-lu. Kompletní design pak jednoduše vychází ze skladby čtverce a obdélníku. Ty pak v rastru určují rytmus používání písma (zvolené písmo Purista) a obrazového materiálu.
Věříme, že vás naše nová, nejen vizuální identita, zaujme a potěší.

The World Cup Biathlon was held this year in Nove Mesto na Morave. This unique sports event featured KOMA MODULAR‘s modules, tastefully incorporated into the contestant facilities. The building is eye catching in the way it naturally blends into the forest surroundings.
For this construction, KOMA MODULAR used the Standard line residential modules. The project was challenging from the very beginning, mostly due to the need for speed and quality. In only six weeks we managed to manufacture and assemble an entirely new set of two structures that give a very pleasing and natural impression.
The natural feel of structure is emphasized not only by the cladding, made of pine panels, but also by the fact that it has bevelled roofs. These roofs are made out of a secondary structure placed on the containers’ supporting beams and covered with trapeze sheets. The investor‘s ideas about top-quality architecture fitted in with our long--term goal, giving rise to a building that is not only practical but also attractive, blending in perfectly with its surroundings.
V Novém Městě na Moravě se letos v lednu ko-nal Světový pohár v biatlonu. Na tento jedinečný sportovní svátek dodala KOMA MODULAR moduly, které sestavila do zajímavě členěného zázemí pro závodníky. Celý objekt na první pohled zaujme svým přírodním vzhledem, který v kontextu okolí přirozeně zapadá do prostředí lesů.
KOMA MODULAR pro tuto stavbu použila obytné moduly řady Standard line. Projekt byl od samého počátku náročný zejména díky požadované rychlos-ti výstavby, ale také díky nárokům na kvalitu. Za šest týdnů se podařilo vyrobit a sestavit celé nové zázemí sestávající ze dvou objektů, které působí velmi pří-jemně a v kontextu místa přirozeně.
Přirozenost stavby podtrhuje nejen obvodový plášť, který je tvořen z borovicových desek, ale také to, že je stavba opatřena šikmými střechami. Ty jsou vy-tvořeny sekundární konstrukcí, posazenou na nos-né rámy kontejnerů, které jsou kryty trapézovým plechem. Představy investora o kvalitní architektuře se tak spojily s dlouhodobým cílem naší firmy a vznikla budova nejen praktická, ale také pěkná, jež ideálně zapadá do krajiny.
Díky těmto vlastnostem dochází k tomu, že málo-kdo pozná, jakým stavebním systémem byla budova postavena. Mnozí se totiž domnívají, že se jedná o dřevostavbu. To ovšem paradoxně modulární výstavbě v Čechách pomáhá, neboť modulární architektura je v České republice zatím vnímána spíše s rezervou. Výsledný vzhled tohoto zázemí pro sportovce úspěšně bortí představy o nehezkých kon-tejnerových stavbách s nulovou architektonickou přidanou hodnotou. To, že se nejedná o klasickou dřevostavbu, ale že se uvnitř skrývá mobilní prefab-rikovaná konstrukce, dokazuje největší výhody mo-dulární výstavby – variabilita, efektivita, mobilita.
A právě ona mobilita jistě pomůže při plánovaném rozšiřování objektu, který se plánuje na příští rok. Světový pohár v biatlonu byl totiž takovou zatěžká-vací zkouškou. To hlavní na pořadatele teprve čeká. Příští rok bude Nové Město na Moravě hostit tento-krát mistrovství světa v biatlonu. KOMA MODULAR věří, že se podaří celý areál sjednotit a vytvořit tak příjemné místo nejen po dobu konání závodů.

In Neustadt in Mähren fand dieses Jahr im Januar der Biathlon-Weltcup statt. Zu diesem einmaligen Sportfest hat KOMA MODULAR den Wettkämpfern Module in interessanter Untergliederung bereit gestellt. Das gesamte Objekt ist einnehmend durch seine natürliche Optik und passt sich gut in die Waldumgebung ein.
KOMA MODULAR verwendete für dieses Projekt Standard line-Wohnmodule. Ein anspruchsvolles Projekt, besonders aufgrund der geforderten Au-fbaugeschwindigkeit sowie der Qualitätsansprüche. In nur sechs Wochen wurde ein völlig neuartiges Umfeld zweier Bauobjekten geschaffen, das extrem angenehm und natürlich wirkt.
Die Natürlichkeit unterstreicht nicht allein der Au-ßenmantel aus Kieferplatten, auch die Schrägdächer tragen dazu bei. Diese bestehen aus S ekundärkon-struktionen, die in die mit Trapezblech bedeckten Tragrahmen der Container eingesetzt sind. So konn-ten wir gleichzeitig die Vorstellungen des Bauherrn von hochwertiger Architektur sowie unser langfristi-ges Firmenziel erfüllen; es entstand ein nicht nur praktisches, sondern auch schönes Gebäude, das sich ideal in die Landschaft einfügt.
Aufgrund dieser Charakteristiken ist die Bauweise des Gebäude nicht einfach erkennbar. Viele vermu-ten einen Holzbau. Paradoxerweise fördert dies den Modulbau in Tschechien, den man hierzulande eher distanziert betrachtet. Die letztendliche Ge-staltung dieser Sportleranlagen verwarf erfolgreich sämtliche Vorstellungen unschöner Containerbau-ten ohne jeden architektonischen Mehrwert. Die Tatsache, dass es sich hierbei nicht um einen klassis-chen Holzbau handelt, sondern sich im Inneren eine vorgefertigte, mobile Konstruktion verbirgt, verweist auf die Vorteile von Modulbauten – Varia-bilität, Effektivität, Mobilität.
Gerade die Mobilität ist es, die uns bei der für das nächste Jahr geplanten Objekterweiterung behil-flich ist. Der Biathlon-Weltcup stellte sozusagen die Bewährungsprobe dar. Die härteste Nuß aber steht dem Veranstalter noch bevor. Nächstes Jahr richtet Neustadt in Mähren die Biathlon-Weltmeisterschaft aus. KOMA MODULAR ist überzeugt, dass es gelin-gen wird, das gesamte Gelände einheitlich zu verbin-den und somit einen angenehmen Ort nicht nur für die Dauer der Meisterschaftsaustragung zu schaffen.
These features disguise what system was used to erect the building. Many people think that it is a timber structure. Paradoxically, this is good for modular construction in Bohemia since the attitude to modular architecture here has been somewhat reserved so far. The final look of this sports facility successfully shatters the image of ugly container structures with zero added archi-tectural value. The fact that it is not just a timber structure but hides a mobile prefabricated unit highlights the benefits of modular construction: variability, effectiveness, mobility.
It is mobility that is sure to help in the planned extension of the object next year. The World Cup Biathlon was meant as a kind of stress test. For the organizers, the main part is still to come. Next year, Nove Mesto na Morave will host the Biath-lon World Championships. KOMA MODULAR believes that it will manage to unite the site as a whole, thus creating a pleasant place not only for the contest.

Začátkem roku 2O12 rozšířila KOMA MODULAR svůj závod o novou výrobní halu za dvacet dva mili-ónu korun, kterou vybavila stroji v hodnotě dalších čtyřiačtyřiceti miliónů. Hala slouží jako lisovna pro výrobu přesných ohýbaných profilů, přičemž byla rozšířena také svařovna ocelových pozinkovaných konstrukcí. Tyto změny umožní mnohem přesnější a efektivnější výrobu profilů, ale také například nových fasád, tak důležitých pro oživení modulární architektury.
KOMA MODULAR je vůbec prvním výrobcem obytných kontejnerů v České republice, jež dispo-nuje takovouto výbavou! Největší novinkou jsou nové sofistikované CNC stroje (Computer Numeric Controll machines) s atraktivním designem, které umožní mnohem přesnější a efektivnější výrobu. „Nyní máme možnost vyrábět nové produkty, které jsou zaměřeny na přesnost – což je hlavní předpoklad smysluplné modulární výstavby, aby do sebe jednot-livé díly a moduly zapadaly jako kostky Lega“, říká Ing. Martin Hart, marketingový ředitel.
Nezbývá než popřát nové hale ty nejpřesnější černé koně modulární výstavby v Evropě.
At the beginning of 2012, KOMA MODULAR expanded with a new twenty-two-million-crown manufacturing hall equipped with machines cos-ting another forty-four million crowns. The hall is used for the preparation and welding of galvanized steel structures, i.e. the “black horses” of modular manufacturing.
KOMA MODULAR is the very first manufacturer of residential containers in the Czech Republic to use this equipment! The biggest novelty is the new sophisticated and stylish CNC (Computer Numeric Control) machines, worth forty-four million Czech crowns, which will result in much more precise and efficient manufacturing. “Now we have the opportunity to make new products that are focused on precision – this is the prerequisite of purposeful modular construction; make the parts and modules fit together like Lego blocks,” says Martin Hart, Marke-ting Director.
Well, let‘s wish the new hall the most precise modu-lar construction black horses in Europe.
Anfang 2012 hat KOMA MODULAR ihr Werk um eine neue Produktionshalle im Werte von zwanzig Millionen Kronen erweitert, die mit einer Maschi-nen im Werte weiterer vierzig Millionen Kronen ausgestattet wurde. Die Halle dient als Vorbereitu-ngs- und Schweißraum für verzinkte Stahlkonstruk-tionen, den Stützpfeilern der Modulbauten.
KOMA MODULAR ist allererster Hersteller von Wohncontainern in Tschechien, der über eine solche Ausstattung verfügt! Die größte Neuerung stellen die neuen ausgeklügelten CNC-Maschi-nen (Computer Numeric Controll machines) mit attraktivem Design im Werte von vierzig Millionen Kronen dar, mit denen wesentlich präziser und effizienter gearbeitet werden kann. „ Jetzt können wir neue Produkte erstellen, die höchste Präzision erfor-dern – Hauptbedingung für sinnvollen Modulbau. Die Einzelteile und Module müssen wie Legosteine aufeinander passen“, so Marketingdirektor Ing. Mar-tin Hart.
An dieser Stelle bleibt der neuen Halle nichts ande-res als die Herstellung der besten Stützpfeiler des europäischen Modulbaus zu wünschen übrig.

Jiří Valenta je autorem nízkoenergetických modulů řady „ComfortLine“, ale také unikátních kontejnerů odolných proti výbuchu, které byly nedávno prezen-továny na veletrhu v Holandsku. Mimo projektování modulů také řídil stavbu nové haly s CNC stroji.
Proč jste si vybral toto povolání? Nebo si ono, jak se říká, vybralo vás?
Tak nějak mi bylo přiděleno během života, ale ke konstrukteřině jsem směřoval vždy. V minulém režimu jsem si užil i povolání slévárenského dělníka při vytloukání odlitků. Na mé práci v tomto oboru je nejlepší asi to, že jeden den něco nakreslíte a druhý den je to vyrobené. Kde jinde se vám toto poštěstí?
Myslíte, že v modulární výstavbě je budoucnost?
Rozhodně. Jak říká Jaroslav Dušek (známý český herec a performer – pozn. redaktora): „Živly se probouzejí, čas se zavinuje a vše trvá méně než kdy předtím…“ Asi ideální doba pro modulární výstav-bu.
Bydlel byste rád v rodinném domě z modulů?
Ano, ale ze všeho nejraději bych žil v chýši v Africe.
Vy jste byl v Africe?
Ano. Celkem důkladně jsem se seznámil se zeměmi
od Súdánu na jih, a to až po Jižní Afriku. Spousta nezapomenutelných zážitků. A všude příjemní, bezproblémoví černoši. Všichni černoši mají spo-lečné to, že problémy řeší, až když nastanou. Za to jim na „oko“ nadávám, ale daleko horší je to tady v Evropě. Takže kdybych si mohl opravdu svobodně vybrat, tak asi tušíte odpověď.
Jaké vás v nejbližší době čekají pracovní úkoly?
Po dokončení nové haly se špičkovými CNC stroji mne čeká výzva v podobě protivýbuchového kontej-neru s odolností 8psi. Zatím vše vychází absurdně robustní,… nebude to jednoduché, nicméně brzy se s touto zakázkou bude potýkat výroba.
A v čem vidíte své největší profesní výzvy?
Rád bych se podílel na modulárních stavbách v moderním architektonickém pojetí. Samozřejmě s kvalitním architektem, který dá stavbě moderní výraz i kompromis v ceně. Tu investoři od modulár-ních staveb očekávají nižší.
Závěrem, máte nějaké životní motto?
Ano. Neživí mě práce, ale peníze. Kdysi jsem to mys-lel jako vtip, ale jako motto to život odlehčí.

Jiri Valenta is the author of the “ComfortLine” series of cost-saving modules, and also of the unique explosi-on-proof containers, which were recently presented at the fair in Holland. Besides this, he also headed the construction of the new CNC hall.
Why did you choose this profession? Or, did the profession choose you?
I was somehow destined for it, but I have always had inclinations to design. Under the old regime I also worked as a foundry hand shaking out castings. The best thing about my job is that one day you draw something and the next day you see it made. Where else can you be that lucky?
Do you think that there is a future in modular construction?
Certainly. As Jaroslav Dusek says (popular Czech actor and performer – editor‘s note): “Elements awaken, time wraps up and everything takes less time than ever before…” Perhaps an ideal time for modular construction.
Would you like to live in a family house built of modules?
Yes but most of all I would like to live in an African shanty.

Have you been to Africa?
Yes. I’ve travelled quite a lot in the countries from Sudan to the south, all the way to South Africa. A lot of unforgettable moments. And nice, easy-going black people everywhere. All blacks have one thing in common: they only deal with problems when they occur. Though I might seem to be critical, it is much worse in Europe. So if I really had to choose, then you probably know the answer.
What tasks do you have coming up at work?
Once the hall with the top-of-the-range CNC machi-nes is completed, I’ll be starting work on a challen-ging explosion-proof container with 8psi resistance. For now, everything comes out too robust…it will not be easy, but this order will soon hit the produc-tion line.
What do you consider your biggest professional challenge?
I would like to get involved in modular construc-tions in modern architecture. Of course, with a prominent architect who would give the structure a modern look whilst keeping the cost down. This is what investors expect from modular constructions.
And finally, do you have any motto?
Yes. It is not work that feeds me, but money. I used to take it as a joke but it makes life a bit easier as a motto.

Jiří Valenta ist nicht nur Vater der Niedrigenergiemo-dule „ComfortLine“, sondern auch Erfinder der einzi-gartigen explosionsbeständigen Container. Neben der Planung von Modulen führte er auch die Bauleitung der neuen CNC-Halle.
Warum haben Sie diesen Beruf ergriffen? Oder war dies mehr oder weniger Berufung?
Das ist eher von selbst passiert. Ingenieursarbeiten haben mich allerdings schon immer gereizt. Unter dem ehemaligen Regime war ich in einer Gießerei tätig, wo meine Aufgabe in der Beschlagung von Gusstücke bestand. Das Beste an meiner Arbeit auf diesem Gebiet ist die Tatsache, dass Sie einen Tag etwas zeichnen und am nächsten Tag wird es bereits produziert. Wo sonst passiert schon sowas?
Glauben Sie, dass die Zukunft im Modulbau liegt?
Auf jeden Fall. Wie schon Jaroslav Dušek (bekannter tschechischer Schauspieler und Performer – Anm. des Redakteurs) sagte: „Die Elemente erwachen zum Leben, die Zeit verschwindet und alles geht schneller als je zuvor…“ Die wahrscheinlich ideale Zeit für Modulbauten.
Würden Sie gern in einem Einfamilienhaus aus Modulen wohnen?
Ja, am allerliebsten würde ich jedoch in einer Hol-zhütte irgendwo in Afrika leben.
Sie waren in Afrika?
Ja. Mit den Ländern vom Sudan bis in den Süden habe ich mich ziemlich eingehend vertraut ge-
macht, bis hinunter nach Südafrika. Eine Unmenge unvergesslicher Erlebnisse. Und überall angene-hme, konfliktlose Schwarze, denen die Tatsache gemein ist, dass sie Probleme erst behandeln, wenn sie tatsächlich aufkommen. Hätte ich die wirklich freie Wahl hätte,….naja, Sie erraten sicher selbst die Antwort.
Welche Aufgaben erwarten Sie in nächster Zeit?
Nach der Fertigstellung der neuen Halle mit den Top-CNC-Maschinen erwartet mich die Herausfor-derung in Form des explosionsbeständigen Contai-ner mit 8psi-Beständigkeit. Bislang klappt alles auf fast absurde Weise gut… es wird aber nicht ganz so einfach laufen, nichtsdestotrotz: dieser Auftrag geht schon ganz bald in die Produktion.
Worin bestehen Ihre beruflich höchsten Heraus-forderungen?
Ich würde mich zu gerne am Modulbau in moder-ner architektonischer Auffassung beteiligen. Selb-stverständlich gemeinsam mit einem hochrangigen Architekten, der dem Bauobjekt eine moderne Ge-stalt verleiht und ein gutes Preisniveau bietet. Denn gerade dies wird von den Investoren bei Modular-bauten als niedriger gelagert erwartet.
Meine abschließende Frage: Haben Sie ein Leben-smotto?
Ja. Nicht die Arbeit nährt mich, sondern Geld. Früher habe ich dies im Scherz gemeint. Als Motto jedoch erleichtert es das Leben.

Storage, office and sales premises – all in one? An eye-catching stylish, container design store? A mo-bile, practical, alternative, enterprising and inde-pendent house where you can run your business? These words can be used to describe one of KOMA MODULAR‘s most recent projects abroad.
In Lower Saxony, not far from the town of Lüne-burg, there is a design store that has everything an office, showroom and warehouse need. The owner of the store is a young successful design engineer who focuses on furnishing interiors. His work ranges from tables to lighting systems. It is no coin-cidence that he is mentioned here; the focus of his work is important to what we do.
We would all like to design our own house to reflect not only the context of the place but also our perso-nality. Any architect would certainly agree that one of the primary criteria in designing is the persona-lity of the investor. Thus it is understandable that the premises where a young European designer he sells his designs and works every day must meet his artistic needs.
The origin of the set of seven StandardLine series
Skladové, kancelářské a prodejní prostory v jed-nom? Designová, stylová, kontejnerová prodejna, která na první pohled zaujme právě svým vzhle-dem? Mobilní, praktický, alternativní, odvážný a svobodný dům, kde můžete komplexně podnikat? Právě těmito slovy by se dala popsat jedna z posled-ních KOMA MODULAR realizací v zahraničí.
V Dolním Sasku, nedaleko města Lüneburg, se na-chází designová prodejna, která splňuje všechny po-třebné nároky co do kanceláře, showroomu i skladu. Její majitel je mladý úspěšný designér, který se ve své umělecké činnosti zaměřuje na vybavení interiérů. Od stolů počínaje po osvětlovací systémy konče. Cha-rakteristiku majitele prodejny neuvádíme náhodně, je totiž důležitá pro charakter realizace.
Asi každý z nás, má-li možnost nechat si navrh-nout vlastní dům, chce, aby se ve výsledné budově odrážel nejen kontext místa, ale také jeho osobnost. Jste-li architektem, jistě budete souhlasit s tím, že jedním ze základních kritérií pro navrhování je právě osobnost investora. U mladého evropského designéra je jasné, že prostor, ve kterém své návrhy prodává a kde denně pracuje, musí odpovídat jeho uměleckým potřebám.
Sestava sedmi obytných kontejnerů řady Stan-dardLine na první pohled přiznává svůj kontejne-rový původ. Tento trend je v Evropě již poměrně dobře hmatatelný a na rozdíl od České republiky či Slovenska se vzhled kontejnerů chápe v urči-tém kontextu jako plus. Podtrhuje totiž svobodu a osobitý kontejnerový styl. V Evropě i ve světě můžeme pozorovat snahu o přiznání kontejnero-vého, mnohdy až kovového a skladového, vzhledu u celé řady realizací, které jsou často poskládány i z repasovaných námořních kontejnerů. Designová prodejna si ovšem zachovává jistý vzhled novoty, jež je v přirozeném napětí právě s kontejnerovým původem budovy. Prostory showroomu a kance-láře jsou prosvětleny dominantními čelními okny, které nabízejí svobodný výhled před budovu. Visuté horní patro je podepřeno ocelovou traverzou, která ještě více umocňuje odkaz právě na „kovovost protřelou světem“ námořních kontejnerů. Na zadní straně horního patra pak potěší jak návštěvníky, tak pracovníky vysunutá dřevěná terasa, která příjemně vyvažuje onen kovový dojem.
Jsme rádi, že jsme mohli designovou prodejnu realizovat.

Lager-, Büro- und Verkaufsräume in einem? Ein stilvoller Verkaufsraum im Container, der auf den ersten Blick durch sein Design auf sich aufmerksam macht? Ein mobiles, praktisches, alternatives, her-vorstechendes und selbstständiges Haus für komple-xe unternehmerische Zwecke? So könnte man eine der letzten Umsetzungen von KOMA MODULAR im Ausland beschreiben.
Im Niedersachsen, unweit von Lüneburg, befindet sich ein Design-Geschäft, das allen Ansprüchen von Büros, Showroom und Lager Genüge leistet. Der Inhaber ist ein junger erfolgreicher Designer, der sich der Ausstattung von Innenräumen widmet. Von Tischen bis hin zu Beleuchtungssystemen. Und es ist kein Zufall, dass wir in diesem Zusammenhang gerade ihn erwähnen.
Jeder, der mit dem Entwurf seines Hauses einen Architekten beauftragen möchte, wünscht sich, in diesem Gebäude nicht nur den Bauort, sondern auch seine Persönlichkeit zum Ausdruck zu bringen. Sind Sie Architekt, so wissen Sie sicherlich, dass für die Entwürfe gerade die Persönlichkeit des Bauherrn wichtig ist. Dem jungen europäischen Designer ist klar, dass der Raum, in dem er arbeitet und seine En-
twürfe verkauft, seinen künstlerischen Bedürfnissen entsprechen muss.
Die sich aus 7 Wohncontainern zusammensetzende Reihe StandardLine bekennt sich zu ihrem Container--Ursprung. In Europa ist dieser Trend bereits greifbar. Im Gegensatz zu Tschechien und der Slowakei be-trachtet man hier die Container-Optik gewissermaßen als Plus, da sie Freiheit und individuellen Contai-ner-Stil betont. In Europa wie auch weltweit gibt es Bemühungen, den oftmals aus überholten Schiffscon-tainern bestehenden und von Metall- und Lageroptik geprägten Containeraufbau in den Vordergrund zu stellen. Das Design-Geschäft wirkt jedoch wie eine Ne-uheit, geprägt von der natürlichen Spannung zu dem Container-Ursprung. Showroom und Büros besitzen markante Stirnfenster, die gute Aussicht nach außen erlauben. Das obere Hängegeschoss wird von einer Stahltraverse gestützt, die die „Metallwirkung“ der Seecontainer verstärkt. Auf der Hinterseite des Ober-geschosses können sich Besucher sowie Mitarbeiter einer vorgeschobenen Holzterrasse erfreuen, die einen angenehmen Ausgleich zum Metall schafft.
Wir sind erfreut, dass wir uns der Umsetzung dieses Design-Geschäfts widmen durften.

This trend is quite well established in Europe and, unlike the Czech Republic or Slovakia, the look of the containers is considered a plus in a certain context. It underlines freedom and a characteristic container style. In Europe and worldwide we can see efforts to adopt the container, sometimes even metal and warehouse-type look of many designs that are often put together out of recycled naval containers. Despite that, the design store maintains a certain original look which forms a natural contrast with the container origin of the building. The showroom and office area are illuminated by dominant front windows that offer a clear view of the front of the building. The suspended upper storey is supported by a steel girder that even emphasizes the reference to the “metal look cut through with light“ of naval containers. The rear of the upper storey is a pleasing sight for visitors and workers with its protruding wooden terrace, which sets off the metal look nicely.
We are glad to have implemented the design store.

For six years, KOMA MODULAR has been orga-nizing an architectonic contest which is now well known amongst architects, yet nobody expected a record-breaking eighty registered projects.
The aim of the contest was to test the possibilities of modular development in creating a friendly human environment, anticipating a universal design and the creation of a new (arche)type of social housing. The high number of registered contestants has a very positive influence on both the public and professionals. The winning project by Marek Prikryl and Martin Proks even got on the cover of the Czech Chamber of Architects bulletin (edition 1/2012). Thousands of people participated in the public vote for the best project on the EARCH.CZ portal. We are glad that modular architecture is so successful among young builders-artists. Young architects simply recognize what is good!
The winning team (Ing. arch. Martin Proks & Ing. arch. Marek Prikryl) was acclaimed with these words: “The design best captured the task we saw as in-corporating a modular house into typology of a retire-ment home. The simple regular concept is realistic while
KOMA MODULAR šestým rokem vypisuje archi-tektonickou soutěž a mezi architekty si již vybudo-vala dobré povědomí, přesto rekordních osmdesát přihlášených projektů nečekal nikdo.
Cílem soutěže bylo prověřit možnosti modulární výstavby v procesu tvorby přívětivého lidského prostředí s předpokladem naznačení univerzálního řešení a vytvoření nového (arche)typu sociálního bydlení. Vysoký počet přihlášených soutěžících měl velmi pozitivní vliv nejen na širokou veřejnost, ale i na tu odbornou. Vítězný projekt architektů Marka Přikryla a Martina Prokše se dokonce dostal na titul-ní stránku Bulletinu České komory architektů (číslo 1/2012). Hlasování veřejnosti o nejlepší projekt, které probíhalo na portálu EARCH.CZ se zúčastnily tisíce hlasujících. Jsme rádi, že modulární architek-tura má takový úspěch mezi mladými stavebníky--umělci. Mladí architekti prostě poznají, co je dobré!
Vítězný tým (Ing. arch. Martin Prokš a Ing. arch. Marek Přikryl) byl ohodnocen takto: „Návrh nejvíce vystihl zadání, které jsme identifikovali jako průnik modulárního domu s typologií domova pro seniory. Jednoduchý řadový koncept nastavený pro
reálnou stavby kombinuje privátní buňky a intimní společné prostory“.
Druhou cenu vybojoval návrh Ing. arch. Mariána Luckého, o kterém se porotci vyjádřili následovně: „Oceňujeme jednoduchý způsob řešení prostorové skladby. Navržený hřeben nabízí poloveřejná zákou-tí, která vhodně doplňuje sebejisté dispoziční řešení. Vyrovnaný návrh od konceptu, programu, dispozice, umístění až po detaily.“
Třetí místo obsadila studentka FA ČVUT Bc. Ka-teřina Blahutová se svým návrhem modulárního cohousingu v korunách stromů. Porotci ocenili zejména „…výrazný prostorový koncept, který vy-tváří pro zadání adekvátní poloveřejný prostor a ctí důsledně modulární systém zadavatele.“
Zvláštní ocenění poroty za tvůrčí přínos k řeše-nému tématu obdrželi Alan Hackl, Ing. Přemysl Gilar a Ing. arch. Kamil Měrka.
A konečně Cenu hlasování veřejnosti si odnesla studentka Ivana Plecháčová z Fakulty architektu-ry ČVUT.

Bereits zum sechsten Male schrieb KOMA MODULAR einen Architekturwettbewerb aus. Obwohl dieser un-ter Architekten bekannt ist, hatte niemand mit der Re-kordzahl von achtzig Projektanmeldungen gerechnet.
Ziel dabei war, die Möglichkeiten von Modulbauten hinsichtlich der Schaffung eines angenehmeren, menschlicheren Umfeldes zu testen, die sowohl Uni-versallösung als auch Entwurf eines neuen (Arche-)typs sozialen Wohnens andeuten. Das siegreiche Projekt der Architekten Marek Přikryl und Martin Prokš gelangte sogar auf die Titelseite des Magazins der Tschechischen Architektenkammer (Ausga-be 1/2012). An der öffentlichen Abstimmung auf EARCH.CZ beteiligten sich Tausende. Es freut uns, dass die modulare Architektur unter den jungen Bauingenieuren-Künstlern so großen Anklang findet.
Das siegreiche Team (Ing. arch. Martin Pro-kš und Ing. arch. Marek Přikryl) wurde folgender-maßen bewertet: „Dieser Vorschlag kam der definierten Vorgabe der Einbindung eines Modulhauses in ein Seni-orenheim am nächsten. Ein einfaches Reihenhauskonze-pt zur konkreten Umsetzung, das Privaträumlichkeiten mit intimen Gemeinschaftsräumen kombiniert“.
Den zweiten Preiserrang der Entwurf von Ing. arch. Marián Lucky, über den sich die Jury wie folgt äuβerte: „Wir schätzen die einfache Lösung der Raumaufteilung. Der First offeriert dezent öffentliche Winkel, die die selbstsichere Disposition der Auftei-lung passend ergänzt. Ein ausgeglichener Entwurf, angefangen vom Konzept, über Programm, Aufteilu-ng, Gliederung bis hin zu Details.“
Den dritten Platz belegte ČVUT-Studentin Bc. Ka-teřina Blahutová mit ihrem Entwurf modularen Baum-Cohousings. Die Juroren schätzten insbe-sondere „... das ausdruckstarke Raumkonzept, das den laut Vorgabe adäquaten halböffentlichen Raum schafft sowie das Modulsystem des Auftraggebers strikt einhält.“
Eine Sonderauszeichnung für ihren schöpferis-chen Beitrag zu dem behandelten Thema erhiel-ten Alan Hackl, Ing. Přemysl Gilar und Ing. arch. Kamil Měrka von den Juroren.
Den Preis der öffentlichen Abstimmung ging an die Studentin Ivana Plecháčová von der Fakultät für Architektur der ČVUT.

Second prize went to Ing. arch. Marian Lucky, whose design was described by the jury: “We appre-ciate the simple design of the spatial structure. The comb-type design offers semi-public corners conveni-ently coupled with a self-confident layout. A balanced design all the way from concept, program, layout and location to details.”
Third place was won by Bc. Katerina Blahutova, a student of FA CVUT, with her design for modular cohousing in treetops. The jury appreciated mostly “…the expressive spatial concept creating a task-rele-vant semi-public space whilst thoroughly respecting the modular system required.”
A special jury award for inventive contribution to the theme was given to Alan Hackl, Ing. Premysl Gilar and Ing. arch. Kamil Merka.
And finally, the Public Vote Award went to Ivana Plechacova, a student at the Faculty of Architecture, CVUT at Prague.

Der grundlegende Vorteil dieses Systems besteht in dessen Variabilität. In diesem Artikel stellen wir Ihnen Toiletten im Retro-Stil vor, die diesen Modulaufbau vollständig umsetzen. Anders gesagt – alles ist möglich.
Möglicherweise haben Sie den Eindruck, dass KOMA MODULAR hauptsächlich öffentliche Toiletten herstellt. Dem ist jedoch nicht so. Diese Toilette im Retro-Stil wurde von KOMA MODULAR unter Zusam-menarbeit mit der deutschen Firma Pletschacher her-gestellt. Neben den modernen, sophistisch anmuten-den Toiletten der Firma TOI TOI& DIXI sowie ADCO demonstrieren unsere Retro-Toiletten, dass modulare Architektur keine Grenzen kennt.

One of the primary advantages of modular archi-tecture is variability. This article presents retro toilets that perfectly fulfil the concept of modular con-struction – everything is possible.
You may think that KOMA MODULAR‘s main focus of business is public toilets. That is not true; ho-wever the next image of a specific sanitary container might even strengthen this impression. This retro--style toilet was made by KOMA MODULAR toge-ther with Pletschacher of Germany. Besides modern sophisticated toilets made by TOI TOI & DIXI and ADCO, this picture of retro toilets demonstrates that modular architecture knows no barriers. (3)
/ Luxuriöse Sanitärcontainer für VIP-Bereiche der EURO 2012
Die erfolgreiche Zusammenarbeit der Firmen KOMA MODULAR, TOI TOI & DIXI und ADCO bei der Herstellung von luxuriösen VIP-Toiletten wird auch in Zukunft fortgesetzt.
Die Firmen TOI TOI & DIXI und ADCO stellen VIP-Toiletten auf Sonderveranstaltungen wie der Fu-ßballeuropameisterschaft zur Verfügung. Dank dieser Tatsache verstärkt sich die tschechische Beteiligung an der EURO 2012 um die Module aus Vizovice. Vorliegende sowie die Fotos der vorherigen Ausgabe des Magazins (luxuriöse SuperiorLine Container) sta-mmen von der Firma ADCO, bei der wir uns hiermit für deren Nutzung herzlichst bedanken möchten.
/ Luxury sanitary containers in VIP zones for EURO 2012
KOMA MODULAR, TOI TOI & DIXI and ADCO will be working together to produce luxury VIP toilets.
TOI TOI & DIXI and ADCO install their VIP toilets at special events, including the European Football Championship. Thanks to that, the Czech Repub-lic is also represented at Euro 2012 by Vizovice modules. So far we have made twenty-five sanitary PremiumLine modules for Euro 2012. The pictures of these containers, as well as the photos in the pre-vious issue (SuperiorLine luxury containers) were taken by ADCO. We are very grateful that we could use them in both editions. (2)
/ KOMA MODULAR auf der Messe für humanitäre Hilfe in Dubai
KOMA MODULAR nahm an der Anfang April statt-gefundenen Messe für humanitäre Hilfe DIHAD 2012 teil, zu der unter Unterstützung von UNO, Rotem Halbmond, International Humanitarian City sowie weiteren einflussreichen islamischen Organisation die Vereinten Arabischen Emirate eingeladen hatten. Ziel war hierbei die Präsentation unserer Firma als Hersteller ökonomischer E3E- Container sowie Mittler praktischer und hocheffektiver, aufblasbarer Zelte.
KOMA MODULAR präsentierte als einzige tsche-chische Firma ihr für viele Menschen bisher unbekanntes Bausystem. Trotzdem konnte es durch seine Variabilität gepaart mit Wirtschaftlichkeit die Aufmerksamkeit vieler Gäste fesseln.
/ KOMA MODULAR at the Humanita-rian Aid & Assistance fair in Dubai
At the beginning of April, KOMA MODULAR atten-ded the Humanitarian Aid & Assistance Exhibition DIHAD 2012 hosted by the United Arab Emirates with the support of UNO, Red Crescent, Interna-tional Humanitarian City and other prominent Islamic organizations. The objective was to present our firm as a manufacturer of economical Econo-mic Line container sand sanitary systems for houses and public buildings.
KOMA MODULAR was the only Czech firm at the ex-hibition and presented a construction system that was totally new to many visitors to the fair. Despite this, many guests were interested in the modular construc-tion, mainly due to its variability and economy. (1)

Možná nabýváte pocitu, že KOMA MODULAR nejvíce vyrábí právě veřejné záchodky. Není tomu tak, nicméně další ukázka specifického sanitárního kontejneru možná váš dojem opět posílí. Tento retro záchodek vyrobila KOMA MODULAR s německou firmou Pletschacher. Vedle moderních sofistiko-vaných záchodků vyráběných s firmou TOI TOI & DIXI a ADCO tato ukázka retro záchodků dokazuje, že modulární architektura nezná překážek. (3)
Luxusní sanitární kontejnery do VIP zón na EURO 2012Úspěšná spolupráce firem KOMA MODULAR, TOI TOI & DIXI a ADCO na výrobě luxusních VIP zá-chodků bude pokračovat i v budoucnu.
Firma TOI TOI & DIXI a ADCO umisťuje VIP záchodky na výjimečných akcích, mezi které patří i mistrovství Evropy ve fotbale. Díky tomu se české zastoupení na Euru 2012 rozšířuje také o moduly z Vizovic. Pro Euro 2012 jsme doposud vyrobili pěta-dvacet sanitárních modulů PremiumLine. Fotografie těchto kontejnerů, stejně jako fotografie použité v předchozím čísle bulletinu (luxusních kontejnerů SuperiorLine), pořídila firma ADCO. Za možnost jejich použití v obou číslech velmi děkujeme. (2)
KOMA MODULAR na veletrhu humanitární pomoci v DubajiKOMA MODULAR se na začátku dubna zúčastnila veletrhu humanitární pomoci DIHAD 2012, jež s podporou OSN a Červeného půlměsíce hostily Spojené arabské emiráty. Cílem bylo představit firmu jako výrobce ekonomických, cenově dostupných dílcových kontejnerů řady EconomicLine a také sanitárních systémů vhodných pro výstavbu domů a občanských staveb.
KOMA MODULAR byla na veletrhu jedinou českou firmou a v zemi šejků prezentovala systém výstavby, který byl pro mnohé návštěvníky veletrhu velikou neznámou. Přesto lze říci, že většinu hostů modulár-ní stavební systém velmi zaujal, a to především svojí variabilitou i příznivou ekonomickou náročností. (1)

/ Mobile Werkstatt für die Auswech-selung von Autoscheiben
KOMA MODULAR stellte beispielsweise für die slowakische Firma AutoskloHornet eine mobile Werkstatt zur Auswechselung von Autoscheiben her.
AutoskloHornet trat mit der Idee an uns heran, ihre mobilen Werkstätten auf Parkplätzen von Super-märkten aufzustellen, sodass die Kunden die für die Auswechselung von Autoscheiben benötigte Zeit zum Einkaufen nutzen können. Das hierzu in Nitra bei MAX Hypermarket laufende Pilotprojekt war ein umgehender Erfolg. Eine weitere Werkstatt befindet sich in v Bratislava in Zlaté Písky vor dem Hypermarket MAX/Tesco Palace. Die Firma plant weitere Werkstätten auch in anderen slowakischen Großstädten.
/ Zlíner Landeshauptmann besucht Werk in Vizovice
Am 27. März besuchte Stanislav Mišák, Hauptmann der Landesregion Zlín, zusammen mit seinen Kollegen der Landesverwaltung die Firma KOMA MODULAR.
Stanislav Martinec, Direktor der KOMA MODULAR, führte die Besucher persönlich durch das ganze Gelände sowie die moderne Produktionshalle und stellte abschließend auch Produktreihen und kon-krete Lösungen in Form des modularen Kindergar-tens in Jihlava oder anhand der modularen Räume für Golfspieler in Prag vor. Wir sind überzeugt, dass der Besuch der Landesvertreter zum besseren Ver-ständnis des Modularbaus in Tschechien beiträgt.
/ Car window exchange mobile workshop
Having a car window changed in a supermarket car park? This is also an example of the mobility offered by modular construction. KOMA MODULAR has made a mobile car window workshop for the Slova-kian firm Autosklo Hornet.
Autosklo Hornet has figured out how to place mobile workshops in hypermarket car parks so that custo-mers can do their shopping while getting their win-dows replaced. The pilot project was a success at the MAX hypermarket in Nitra. Thanks to this you can find another modular workshop in Bratislava – Zlate Pisky at the MAX/Tesco Palace hypermarket. The exis-ting business plan is a success; therefore the company plans to set up workshops in other Slovakian towns. (6)
/ The Zlin Commissioner visits the Vizovice manufacturing plant
On 27th March, KOMA MODULAR was visited by Stanislav Misak, the Commissioner of the Zlin regi-on, and his co-workers.
Stanislav Martinec, CEO of KOMA MODULAR, showed the visitors the entire premises, including the new modern manufacturing hall. He famili-arised them with the product series and specific solutions, e.g. a modular nursery school in Jihlava, or a modular golf clubhouse in Prague. We believe that presenting modular development to municipal representatives raise awareness of modular con-struction in Bohemia. (5)
/ KOMA MODULAR erneut im Inno-vativ-Wettbewerb erfolgreich
Die Region Zlín wurde zum dritten Male durch das Technologische Zentrum für Innovationen für die höchste Anzahl an innovativen Firmen auf ihrem Gebiet ausgezeichnet. Die Jury wählte unter Mitwir-kung von CzechInvest, der Tomáš Baťa Universität Zlín sowie dem tschechischen Verband für innova-tive Unternehmungen drei Firmen unter zwanzig angemeldeten zur Auszeichnung.
KOMA MODULAR erwarb nach einem zweiten Platz im Jahre 2009 und einem ersten im Jahre 2010 erneut Silber. Die Jury schätzte insbesondere unsere Innovationen im Herstellungsprozess sowie bei den Produkten selbst, deren Flaggschiff das Energiespar-modul der Reihe ComfortLine präsentiert.

Thanks to the Technological Innovation Centre, the Zlin region has been awarded for having the most innovative firms for the 3rd time. Together with CzechInvest, the Tomas Bata University in Zlin and the Czech Association of Innovative En-trepreneurship, the jury chose the three best firms from over 20.
After winning 2nd prize in 2009 and 1st prize in 2010, KOMA MODULAR again won a medal – this time silver (since 2010 the contest is held every two years).The jury particularly rated the innovation in architecture, work with students and interesting events. (4)
Zlínský hejtman navštívil výrobní závod ve Vizovicích27. března firmu KOMA MODULAR navštívil se svý-mi kolegy z krajské samosprávy hejtman Zlínského kraje Stanislav Mišák.
Stanislav Martinec, ředitel KOMA MODULAR, návštěvu osobně provedl celým areálem, včetně moderní výrobní haly. Na závěr delegaci seznámil s výrobkovými řadami a konkrétními řešeními v po-době modulární školky v Jihlavě či modulárního zázemí pro golfisty v Praze. Věříme, že seznámení představitelů samosprávy se systémem modulární výstavby opět o něco více přispěje k lepšímu chápá-ní modulární výstavby v Čechách. (5)
Mobilní dílna na výměnu autoskelNechat si vyměnit autosklo na parkovišti během ná-kupu? I to je příklad využití mobility, kterou nabízí modulární výstavba. KOMA MODULAR vyrobila pro Slovenskou firmu Autosklo Hornet mobilní dílnu na výměnu autoskel.
V Autosklo Hornet vymysleli, umístit své mobilní dílny na parkoviště hypermarketů tak, aby zákazní-ci mohli dobu, po kterou autosklo vyměňují, využít k nakupování. Pilotní projekt byl umístěn v Nitře u hypermarketu MAX, kde se osvědčil. Proto můžete další modulární dílnu najít v Bratislavě ve Zlatých Píscích u hypermarketu MAX/Tesco Palace. Dosa-vadní podnikatelský záměr se jeví jako úspěšný, pro-to firma plánuje dílny postupně osazovat do dalších velkých slovenských měst. (6)
KOMA MODULAR opět uspěla v soutěži v inovativnostiZlínský kraj prostřednictvím Technologického Ino-vačního Centra potřetí ocenil nejvíce inovační firmy na svém území. Ve spolupráci s agenturou pro pod-poru podnikání a investic CzechInvest, Univerzitou Tomáše Bati ve Zlíně a Asociací inovačního podni-kání ČR vybrala porota tři oceněné firmy z více než dvaceti přihlášených.
KOMA MODULAR si, po druhém místě z roku 2009 a prvním místě z roku 2010, na potřetí odnesla opět jedno ze tří medailových míst, a to v podobě stříbr-né medaile (od roku 2010 se soutěž pořádá jednou za dva roky). Porota především ocenila inovativnost v architektuře a práci se studenty pořádáním zají-mavých soutěží. (4)
