Sie haben gerade die 7. Ausgabe des Bulletins der Firma KOMA im ganz neuen Look erhalten. Erlauben Sie mir die Meilensteine des Jahres 2011 durchzugehen, die unsere Gesellschaft erlebt hat, auf die sie stolz ist und die sie hochzuschätzen weiß. Es freut mich Ihnen ein neu gestaltetes Bulletin vor-stellen zu dürfen, das sicher Ihre Aufmerksamkeit fesseln wird.

Wie Sie sicherlich wissen, der Gesellschaft KOMA MODULAR ist jedes Detail wichtig. Unsere Aktivitä-ten bezeugen, dass uns nicht „nur“ die Qualität, und die praktische Anwendung wichtig sind, sondern auch die Schönheit, der persönliche Zugang und die Popularisierung der modularen Architektur. Es freut mich, dass wir voriges Jahr einige architek-tonisch und designmäßig hochwertige Vorhaben umsetzen konnten. Positive Wahrnehmung der modularen Bauweise verstärkten wir auch in der Slowakei, wo wir die Initiatoren und der Generalpa-rtner der internationalen Konferenz „Modulare Ar-chitektur in der Stadt des 21. Jahrhunderts“ waren.

Here is the 7th issue of the company bulletin KOMA in a new guise. Allow me, in this introduction, to go over with you the 2011 milestones experienced by our company, of which we are proud and which we highly appreciate. I am pleased that I can introduce these milestones to you in the new design of the bulletin, which I strongly believe you will fi nd inte-resting and enjoy.

As you surely know, for the company KOMA MO-DULAR, all details matter. Innovation, quality and design, as well as a personal approach. Nonetheless, the activities of the last years have shown us that for us not “only” quality , speed and practicality matter, but also the beauty and the popularization of mo-dular architecture. I am very pleased that last year we succeeded in the construction of several, both ar-chitectonically and designingly qualitative realizati-ons, and that we succeeded in raising positive public awareness of modular construction also in Slovakia, where we initiated and were general partners of the international conference “Modular Architecture in the city of the 21st century”.

Vážení čtenáři,příznivci modulární výstavby a obchodní přátelé!

Dostává se vám do rukou 7. číslo fi remního bulleti-nu KOMA MODULAR v novém kabátě. Dovolte mi, abych tímto úvodem společně s vámi prošel mil-níky uplynulého roku 2011, které naše společnost zažila, na které je hrdá a kterých si vysoce cení. Jsem potěšen, že vám ony milníky mohu představit již v novém designu bulletinu, který vás, pevně věřím, zaujme a zároveň i potěší.

Jak jistě víte, společnost KOMA MODULAR věnuje maximální pozornost každém detailu – inovativ-nosti, kvalitě, designu i osobnímu přístupu. Aktivity z minulých let ale ukazují, že nám nezáleží „jen“ na kvalitě, rychlosti a praktičnosti, ale také na kráse modulů a popularizaci modulární výstavby či, chce-te-li, modulární architektury. Jsem velmi potěšen, že se nám minulý rok podařilo postavit několik architektonicky i designově kvalitních realizací a že se nám podařilo zvednout pozitivní povědomí o modulární výstavbě také na Slovensku, kde jsme byli iniciátory a generálními partnery mezinárod-ní konference „Modulární architektura ve městě 21. století“.

Die-se Toilettenkabinen sind mit Sonderbeleuchtung, Audiotechnik und Videotechnik ausgestattet. Der Eingang führt durch eine verglaste automatische Tür. Die Meldung, ob die Kabine frei oder besetzt ist, erfolgt über einen Diodenbalken in grüner oder roter Farbe.

Die KOMA MODULAR ist überzeugt, dass dieses attraktive Design und Qualität nicht nur Firmen im Ausland, sondern auch in der Tschechischen Repu-blik ansprechen werden, da auch Toilettenkabinen schön ausgeführt sein können.

What if the requirement is: mobile luxury VIP toilets for those who are demanding? First class automatized toilets will be created, where it is worth popping to the loo.

In cooperation with TOI TOI & DIXI, European ex-perts in the area of sanitary mobile systems, KOMA MODULAR has developed and created two proto-ty pes of exclusivly designed sanitary containers for men and women with an attractive aty pical cassette facade. Th ese toilets are fi tted with special lighting, audio technology, as well as video technology. Th e entrance is an automatic glass door. Information whether the cubicle is occupied or vacant is shown by a green or red diode strip.

KOMA MODULAR believes that the attractive design and quality of execution of these mobile sanitary containers will be interesting not only for fi rms ab-road, but also in the Czech Republic, because toilets can also be beautiful.

KOMA MODULAR ve spolupráci s evropským expertem v oblasti sanitárních mobilních systémů, fi rmou TOI TOI & DIXI, podle jejich autorského návrhu vyvinula a vyrobila dva prototy py exkluziv-ních sanitárních kontejnerů pro muže a pro ženy s atraktivní aty pickou kazetovou fasádou. In three realizations of bases for golf clubs, a new so-lution of modular constructions, which is not only practical, but which also fulfi ls the functions of high quality , attractive design and modular architecture, has been introduced. Golfers are simply deman-ding and they only want the best.

In its activity , KOMA MODULAR has dedicated itself over a long period to raising public awareness of modular architecture. Its purpose is to persuade that it is a high-value, quality , highly variable and very quick construction system. Th erefore it has inclu-ded the newly developed M3 module in its product portfolio, which also satisfi es very demanding clients with its both architectonical and technical quality , with respect to energy requirements, as well as design and interior solution.

In the Czech Republic, the courses of Golf Marina in Prague-Libeň and Golf Letňany in Prague-Letňany have constructions from M3 modules, and Golf Pegas in Lozorno near Bratislava in Slovakia, where the pe-rimeter frontage from steamed pine catches the attenti-on at fi rst sight. Th is proves that module buildings allow a wide range of variants in the choice of the

Na třech realizacích zázemí pro golfové kluby se představuje nové řešení modulárních staveb, které plní nejen funkci praktickou, ale i funkci vysoké kvality , atraktivního designu a modulární archi-tektury. Golfi sté jsou prostě nároční a chtějí jen to nejlepší.

KOMA MODULAR se ve své činnosti dlouhodobě věnuje budování povědomí o modulární architek-tuře. Jejím cílem je přesvědčit, že se jedná o plno-hodnotný, kvalitní, vysoce variabilní a velmi rychlý systém výstavby. Proto do svého portfolia produktů zařadila nově vyvinutý modul M3, který svou ar-chitektonickou i technickou kvalitou uspokojí i ty nejnáročnější klienty , a to jak z hlediska energetic-ké náročnosti, tak z hlediska designu či interiérové-ho řešení.

V České republice jsou z modulů M3 postaveny areály Golf Marina v Praze v Libni a Golf Letňa-ny v Praze v Letňanech; na Slovensku je to Golf Pegas v Lozornu u Bratislavy, kde na první pohled zaujme obvodový plášť z pařené borovice. Ten dokazuje, že modulární stavby mají ve volbě fasády širokou škálu variací. KOMA MODULAR totiž při

výrobě podobných realizací klade vysoký důraz na individuální přístup. Klientovi umožnuje úzkou spolupráci nejen s technickým oddělením, ale také s architektem, který na přání klienta navrhne i ne-konvenční řešení.

Další výhodou systému M3 je možnost vysoké va-riability při návrhu velikosti a rozmístění dveřních či okenních otvorů. V konkrétním případě objektu Golf Lozorno bylo použito francouzských oken o rozměrech 3064 x 2500 mm. Jejich použití úspěš-ně zahání předsudky o ponuré stísněnosti modulů. Kombinace elektrického vytápění s živým ohněm v podobě krbových kamen pak dopomáhá k příjem-nému pocitu z prostoru.

Základní rozdíl mezi modulární a konvenční výstavbou je rychlost. KOMA MODULAR zaručuje dodání stavby do tří měsíců od objednávky. Samot-né umístění stavby na místo je pak otázkou dvou až tří týdnů.

Pro všechny uvedené argumenty stojí za to zvážit využití systému M3, ve kterém je KOMA MODULAR bezkonkurenční a pak už jen stačí zajít na golf.

Die KOMA MODULAR widmet sich auch der Stär-kung der Wahrnehmung der modularen Archi-tektur. Ihr Ziel ist: überzeugen, dass dieser Ausbau vollwertig, qualitativ, hochwertig und sehr schnell ist. Deshalb hat sie ihr Portfolio der Produkte um das neu entwickelte M3 Modul erweitert, das die anspruchsvollsten Kunden zufriedenstellen kann.

In der Tschechischen Republik wurden aus den M3 Modulen die Areale Golf Marina in Prag Libeň und Golf Letňany in Prag Letňany gebaut; in der Slowakei ist es das Areal Golf Pegas in Lozorno bei Bratislava, dessen Außenhaut aus gedämpft er Kiefer beweist, dass die Fassadenauswahl sehr variabel ist. Die KOMA MODULAR legt einen hohen Akzent auf die individuelle Betrachtung des Projektes. So kann der Kunde nicht nur mit der technischen Abteilu-ng, sondern auch mit dem Architekten, der auch

unkonventionelle Lösungen entwerfen kann, eng zusammenarbeiten.

Der nächste Vorteil des M3 Systems ist die hohe Variabilität bei der Auswahl der Größe und der Unterbringung der Tür- oder Fensteröff nungen. Für das Areal Golf Lozorno wurden französische Fenster mit den Abmessungen 3064 x 2500 mm ausgewählt. Ihre Verwendung kann die Vorurteile über die düstere Beklemmung der Module erfol-greich vertreiben. Die Kombination der Strombe-heizung mit dem off enen Feuer im Kaminofen stärkt das angenehme Gefühl.

Der grundsätzliche Unterschied zwischen dem modularen und konventionellen Ausbau ist die Geschwindigkeit. Die KOMA MODULAR garantiert Lieferungen binnen drei Monaten ab Bestellung. Die Montage des Bauobjektes am Ort ist die Frage von zwei bis drei Wochen.

Wegen all dieser Argumente sollte man die Nutzung des M3 Systems, in dem die KOMA MODULAR ab-solut konkurrenzlos ist, in Betracht ziehen. Und da-nach geht es einfach zum Golfspiel.

A combination of electric heating with real fi re in form of a fi replace then helps to give pleasant feel to the space.

Th e basic diff erence between modular and conventi-onal construction is in speed. KOMA MODULAR gua-rantees delivery of the building within three months from the order. Th e placing of the building itself on the site is then a question of two or three weeks.

For all of the reasons mentioned, it is worth conside-ring the use of the M3 system, in which KOMA MODU-LAR is so unrivalled, and then just go and play golf.

Wenn Sie jemandem in Tschechien oder der Slo-wakei sagen, dass Sie in einem Container wohnen, wird er Sie wahrscheinlich mitfühlend ansehen. In Deutschland und Holland wird dies jedoch verstanden. In der Welt wird nämlich die modulare Architektur sehr oft verwendet.

Einfacher Transport, geringe Kosten, problemlose Überlagerung, schneller und trockener Ausbau ohne Belastung der Umgebung. In der Welt ganz üblich, in Tschechien und der Slowakei noch nicht entdeckt. Dies war auch das Th ema der interna-tionalen Konferenz „Modulare Architektur in der Stadt der 21. Jahrhunderts“ in Bratislava am 30.3.2011 mit den führenden europäischen Archi-tekten aus dem Bereich modulare Architektur.

Die KOMA MODULAR war der Initiator und der Generalpartner der Konferenz.

Dank des attraktiven Programms gelangte das Th ema der modularen Architektur in die vorderen slowakischen Medien – Radio, Presse und als Repor-tage in die wichtigsten Fernsehgesellschaft en.

If you tell anyone in the Czech Republic or in Slovakia that you live in a container, you will probably get strange looks. In Germany or in Holland, they will understand and start asking for more details. Around the world, modular architecture is widely used.

Simple transportation, low cost, the possibility of ea-sily moving the building, quick and dry construction, which does not disturb the surroundings. It is usual around the world, but has not yet been discovered in the Czech Republic and in Slovakia. Th at was also one topic of the international conference “Modular Architecture in the city of the 21st century” in Bra-tislava on 30th March 2011 with the participation of prominent European architects engaged in modular architecture.

KOMA MODULAR was the initiator and the general partner of the conference.

Th anks to the attractive programme, the topic of mo-dular architecture was featured in important Slovak media, not only on the radio and in the press, but also in reports of leading television companies.

Pokud někomu v Česku nebo na Slovensku řeknete, že bydlíte v kontejneru, asi se na vás podívá s oba-vami, jste-li v pořádku. V Německu nebo v Holand-sku však pochopí a začne se vyptávat. Modulární architektura je totiž ve světě hojně využívaná.

Snadná doprava, malé náklady, možnost stavbu bez problému přemístit, rychlá a suchá výstavba, jež nikterak nezatíží okolí stavby. Ve světě běž-né, v Čechách a na Slovensku zatím neobjevené. I o tom byla mezinárodní konference „Modulár-ní architektura ve městě 21. století“. Uskuteč-nila se v Bratislavě 30. 3. 2011 za účasti předních evropských architektů věnujících se modulární architektuře.

KOMA MODULAR byla iniciátorem a generálním partnerem konference.

Díky atraktivitě programu se téma modulární archi-tektury dostalo do významných slovenských médií a to nejen do rádií a tisku, ale formou reportáže také do hlavních televizních společností.

In the framework of the international conference “Modular Architecture in the city of the 21st century”, , the Hannover professor, Han Slawik, , who might be, without exaggeration considered the father of German “container architecture” visited Bratislava.

Do you remember the reason why you became a fan of modular architecture? What did you fi nd so interesting, that you spent most of your profe-ssional life with this ty pe of architecture?

I worked as bricklayer before I started studying architecture. In the sixties I saw a great appeal in construction waste, which was buried on site. So I thought that production of prefabricates is a better alternative: independent of weather and only dependent on immediate and timely undemanding installation.

Modular architecture has many advantages, such as e. g. speed of construction. Do you think that this ty pe of construction might become a better way of speedier and more eff ective construction of kindergartens, social houses, university colleg-es etc.? What could change it in the future?

I think that modular architecture can certainly be an important method ... of construction ... It could be a very permanent way and also a possibility to en-rich architecture by new functions. You can change modules of the same size and dimensions ... and that could be done almost anywhere in the world.

You are the author of the prestigious book Container Atlas: A Practical Guide to Container Architecture. How and when you get the idea to write this book? How is it selling so far?

Since the nineties, universities have oft en invited me to give lectures on container architecture or on my buildings and projects. Over the last years, at Hannover University , I have spent (together with my assistants Julia Bergman, Matthias Buchmeier and Sonja Tinney)a lot of time in the research of

V rámci mezinárodní konference „Modulární ar-chitektura ve městě 21. století“ přijel do Bratislavy hannoverský profesor Han Slawik, jehož lze bez nadsázky považovat za otce německé „kontejnerové architektury“.

Vzpomínáte si, co bylo důvodem, že jste se stal fanouškem modulární architektury? Co vás na ní natolik zaujalo, že jste s tímto ty pem architektury strávil většinu svého profesního života?

Než jsem začal studovat architekturu, pracoval jsem jako zedník. V šedesátých letech jsem viděl obrov-skou výzvu ve stavebním odpadu, který se zahrabá-val na místě. Tak jsem si myslel, že výroba prefab-rikátů v továrně je lepší alternativou: nezávislá na počasí a odkázaná jen na bezprostřední a časově nenáročnou montáž.

Modulární architektura má mnoho výhod, jako je například rychlost výstavby. Myslíte si, že tento druh výstavby se může stát nejlepším způsobem jak rychle a efektivně postavit školky, kanceláře, sociální domy, vysokoškolské koleje a podobně? Co by to mohlo v budoucnu změnit?

Myslím si, že modulární architektura jistě může být důležitou cestou … jak stavět … Může to být velmi trvalý způsob a také možnost dát architektuře nové funkce. Můžete měnit moduly stejné velikosti a roz-měrů … a to v podstatě po celém světě.

Jste autorem prestižní knihy „Container Atlas: A Practical Guide to Container Architecture“. Jak a kdy vás napadlo napsat takovou knihu? Jak se zatím prodává?

Od devadesátých let mě z univerzit často zvali, abych přednášel o kontejnerové architektuře či o svých stavbách a projektech. Poslední roky na uni-verzitě v Hannoveru trávím (spolu s mými asistenty Julií Bergmannovou, Matthiasem Buchmeierem a Sonjou Tinneyovou) spoustu času výzkumem kontejnerové architektury, který jsem shrnul v Con-

tainer Atlas 2010. Německé vydání (3000 výtisků) je stále k dispozici, z anglického vydání (ve stejném počtu) už toho moc nezbývá. V angličtině se však připravuje již druhé vydání.

Jste autorem specifi ckého objektu, který vznikl v průběhu mezinárodního stavebního veletrhu IBA v roce 2007 v Německu (jenž má více než stoletou tradici). Mohl byste tuto budovu našim čtenářům více přiblížit? Jsou tu přece botely a podobné stavby, takže co je na IBA DOCK tak revolučního?

Je to výstavní a kancelářská budova IBA DOCK) spe-ciálně pro IBA Hamburk (2006–2013). Jistě existuje množství upravených a rekonstruovaných lodí se speciálním designem a konstrukci. Ty však nejsou nezbytné pro plovoucí budovy, byť jsou na stejné vodní hladině. Vzpomeňte na dobu hippies: lodě se změnily v domovy – romantické a idylické, ovšem to není řešení pro plovoucí architekturu v budouc-nosti. IBA DOCK je výjimečná tím, že když přijde povodeň a voda stoupne, budova stoupá zároveň s vodou a vy nemusíte zvyšovat hráze.

Představte si ideálního klienta, neomezený roz-počet a žádné úřední omezení. Co byste v tomto ideálním případě navrhl a postavil?

Nevím, jestli je dobrá představa, ve které je vše možné. Architekt musí naslouchat přáním klienta, s neomezeným rozpočtem můžete ztratit své standardy, ovšem – žádná byrokratická omezení – to by bylo fantastické. A může vám to pomoci k vizím. Moje vlastní vize: Dejte klientovi rámy kontejnerů, poraďte mu a nechte ho, ať si je vyplní podle svého gusta (prostor, materiály, barvy,…) tak, že se s tou budovou bude moci ztotožnit. Tomu říkám architektura.

Im Rahmen der internationalen Konferenz „Modula-re Architektur in der Stadt der 21. Jahrhunderts“ ist in Bratislava Professor Han Slawik aus Hannover eingetroff en, der als der Vater der deutschen „Contai-nerarchitektur“ angesehen wird.

Was der Grund war, dass Sie ein Fan der modula-ren Architektur geworden sind? Was war so intere-ssant, dass Sie mit dieser Architekturart die meiste Zeit Ihres berufl ichen Lebens verbracht haben?

Bevor ich mit dem Studium der Architektur ange-fangen habe, war ich Maurer. In den sechziger Jahren habe ich gesehen, dass der vor Ort eingegrabende Bauschutt eine große Herausforderung bedeutet. Die Herstellung von Baufertigteilen in einem Werk wäre eine bessere Alternative: vom Wetter unabhängig, mit zeitlich nicht aufwendigen Montage verbunden.

Die modulare Architektur hat viele Vorteile, zum Beispiel die Baugeschwindigkeit. Glauben Sie, dass diese Bauart die beste Weise für einen schnellen und effi zienten Ausbau von Kindergär-ten, Büros, Sozialhäusern, Studentenheimen sein könnte? Was könnte es in der Zukunft verändern?

Ich bin der Meinung, dass die modulare Architektur ein wichtiger Weg sein könnte… wie die Häuser zu bau-en … Es kann eine Weise werden, die der Architektur neue Funktionen verleihen kann. Man kann Module gleicher Größe tauschen… fast auf der ganzen Welt.

Sie sind der Autor des Buches Container Atlas: A Practical Guide to Container Architecture. Wie und wann kam Ihnen die Idee, ein solches Buch zu schreiben? Wie verkauft es sich?

Am Anfang der neunziger Jahre wurde ich oft von den Universitäten eingeladen, Vorträge über die Con-tainerarchitektur oder über eigene Projekte zu halten. Letzte Jahre verbringe ich (mit meinen Assistenten Julia Bergmann, Matthias Buchmeier und Sonja Tinney) auf der Universität in Hannover viel Zeit mit der Forschung der Containerarchitektur. Die habe ich

im Container Atlas 2010 zusammengefasst. Die deut-sche Ausgabe (Aufl age 3000 Stk.) steht immer zur Verfügung, von der englischen (in gleicher Stückzahl) bleibt nicht mehr viel übrig. Jetzt wird eine zweite Herausgabe in englischer Sprache vorbereitet.

Sie sind der Autor eines Bauobjektes, das im Verlauf der internationalen Baumesse IBA 2007 in Deutschland (mit mehr als hundertjähriger Tra-dition) entstanden ist. Könnten Sie dieses Gebäude näher beschreiben? Es gibt hier Botels und ähnli-che Bauten. Was ist an IBA DOCK so revolutionär?

Es ist ein Ausstellungs- und Bürogebäude (IBA DOCK), speziell für IBA Hamburg (2006-2013). Es gibt viele renovierten Schiff en mit Sondergestaltung und Konstruktion, die für schwimmende Bauobjek-te nicht unbedingt notwendig ist. Sie erinnern sich an die Hippie-Zeiten: Die Schiff e wurden in Heime umgewandelt - romantische und idyllische. Dies ist keine Lösung für die schwimmende Architek-tur der Zukunft . Die Besonderheit von IBA DOCK liegt in der Fähigkeit, bei Hochwasser zusammen mit dem steigenden Wasserspiegel zu steigen, der Aufb au der Wehre in diese Höhe entfällt also.

Stellen Sie sich einen idealen Kunden, ein unbegrenz-tes Budget und keine behördlichen Einschränkungen vor. Was würden Sie in diesem Zustand entwerfen?

Ich weiß nicht, ob es eine gute Vorstellung ist, dass alles uneingeschränkt verläuft . Ein Architekt muss die Kundenwünsche beachten, mit einem unbegrenzten Budget können Sie ihre Standards verlieren, anderseits - keine behördlichen Ein-schränkungen - das wäre was Fantastisches. Und das kann Ihnen zu weiteren Visionen helfen. Meine ei-gene Vision ist: Geben Sie dem Kunden die Contai-nerrahmen, beraten Sie ihn und lassen Sie ihn diese nach eigenem Geschmack (Raum, Materialien, Far-ben …) ausfüllen, dass er sich mit seinem Entwurf identifi zieren kann. Das nenne ich Architektur.

container architecture, which I summarized in the Container Atlas 2010. Th e German edition (3000 co-pies) is still available, the English edition (the same volume) is almost sold out. Th e second edition in English is therefore prepared.

You are the creator of a specifi c object, which was created during international building trade fair IBA in 2007 in Germany (which has a tradition for more than 100 years). Could you describe this building more for our readers? Th ere are boat--hotels and similar buildings, so what is so revo-lutionary in IBA DOCK?

It is an exhibition and offi ce building, special for IBA Hamburg (2006—13). Of course there are many modifi ed and reconstructed boats. Th ey are of spe-cial design and construction; nonetheless this is not necessary for fl oating buildings, even on the same water level. Remember time of the hippies: boats turned into homes – romantic and idyllic, but it is not a solution for fl oating architecture in the future. IBA DOCK is exceptional: in the case of fl ood and an increase in the water level, the building rises together with the water and you do not need to raise the height of the jetties.

Imagine the ideal client, an unlimited budget and no central heating. What would you design and build in this ideal case?

I am not sure whether an image where anything is possible is good. Th e architect must listen to the wishes of the client; with an unlimited budget, you might leave your standards, nonetheless – without bureaucratic restrictions – that would be fantastic. And this might help you to your visions. My own vision: Provide the client with frames of containers, advise him and let him fi ll them according to his taste (space, materials, colours...) in such a manner that he will be able to identify himself with the buil-ding. Th at is what I call architecture.

Der 5. Jahrgang des architektonischen Studente-nwettbewerbs um den besten Entwurf des Uni--Objektes STING BRNO JUNDROV hat mit seiner Qualität alle Erwartungen übertroff en.

Vorgelegt wurden 41 Entwürfe zum Einbau der Mo-dule in das bestehende Objekt der Universität. Nicht nur die ausgezeichneten Projekte haben bewiesen, dass die modulare Architektur attraktiv sein kann und auch bei historischen Bauten anwendbar ist.

Hier die Stellungnahme von Martin Hart zu diesem Wettbewerb:

„Es freut uns sehr, dass unsere modularen Visionen auch Studenten und jungen Architekten erweitern können. In dem alljährlichen Wettbewerb wird den jungen Profi s die Möglichkeit gegeben, sich nicht nur ersichtlich zu machen und Auszeichnungen zu bekommen, sondern auch eine Zusammenarbeit mit unserer Firma zu beginnen. With its quality , the 5th year of the students´ architectonical competition for the best design of the university building STING BRNO JUNDROV exceeded expectations.

41 designs were presented; they solved fi nishing of the university from modules in the actual surroun-dings. Not only the appreciated designs proved that modular architecture can be attractive and its use not an impediment, even among historic buildings.

Martin Hart has commented the competition:

“We are very pleased that students and young archi-tects – the future of our profession – participate in designing of our modular visions. In the annual contest we provide young professionals with an occasion not only to get on themselves and to be awarded, but also to enter into eventual cooperation with our fi rm. 5. ročník studentské architektonické soutěže o nejlepší návrh vysokoškolského objektu STING BRNO JUNDROV předčil svou kvalitou očekávání.

Sešlo se 41 návrhů, které řešily dostavbu vysoké ško-ly za použití modulů do stávajícího objektu univer-zity . Nejen oceněné projekty dokázaly, že modulární architektura může být atraktivní a její využití není na překážku ani v historické zástavbě.

KOMA moduly na fotbalu v Bruggách

To, že moduly KOMA MODULAR jsou ideální jako zázemí pro různá sportoviště, dokazuje i realizace zázemí pro fotbalový klub v Belgických Bruggách.

KOMA MODULAR a fi rma Jan SNEL dodala pro tento účel dvě budovy. V nich se nachází kancelá-ře, prostor pro prodej vstupenek či fi tness. Budovy splňují požární odolnost 60 min a mají betonové podlahy. Barva budov byla zvolena v klubových barvách fotbalového klubu FC Brugge.(3)

/ Module aus Vizovic gehen nach Venezuela

Anfang Januar hat die Firma KOMA MODULAR einen kostbaren Besuch aus Venezuela empfangen - den Ambassador Víctor Julián Hernández León, Botschaft er der Bolivarischen Republik Venezuela.

In der Delegation aus Venezuela war auch der zwei-te Sekretär des Ambassadors Herr Miguel Alejandro González Ziegler anwesend. Die KOMA MODULAR wurde von ihrem Direktor und Gründer Stanislav Martinec vertreten.

Das Ziel war die Suche nach möglichen Schnitt-stellen einer Zusammenarbeit. Die venezolanische Partei war an der schnellen Bauweise interessiert. Die Delegation war sich einig, dass der E3E Contai-ner im Bereich der Unterkunft seinrichtungen her-vorragend ist. Beide Parteien werden gemeinsame Kräft e dafür aufwenden, die E3E Module auf dem venezolanischen Markt einzuführen.(1)

/ Die KOMA hat sich auf derMesse in Peru vorgestellt

Die KOMA MODULAR hat sich auf der SITDEF Messe in Peru vorgestellt. Der Vorsitzende des Mini-sterrates Rosario Fernández Figueroa hat dort dem Direktor der KOMA MODULAR Stanislav Martinec ein Diplom überreicht.

In dem exotischen Indianerland war die KOMA MODULAR der einzige Vertreter aus Tschechien. Neben der Vorstellung dem zerlegbaren C3F Con-tainer und dem, ohne Kran aufgebauten E3E Con-tainer, war die Messe eine Recherche des Interesses um Erzeugnisse, die die Grundlage der Angebote der Schwesterorganisation, der Wiener KOMA SPA-CE, bilden werden. Anhand des gezeigten Interesses hat man ein Abkommen über die Alleinvertretung auf den Märkten in Südamerika unterzeichnet. (2)

/ KOMA Module beim Fußball in Brügge

Dass die KOMA MODULAR Module ideale Hinter-räume für Sportplätze erschaff en können, beweist die Umsetzung der Räume für den Fußballklub im belgischen Brügge.

Die KOMA MODULAR und die Firma Jan SNEL haben für diese Zwecke zwei Gebäude für Büros, Kartenverkauf und Fitness geliefert. Die Gebäude haben die vorgeschriebene Brandfestigkeit von 60 min. und Betonböden. Die Farbe wurde nach den Klubfarben des FC Brügge ausgewählt.

Th e fact that KOMA MODULAR modules are ideal as a base for various sports grounds is also proven by realization of the base for the football club in Bruges.

KOMA MODULAR and the fi rm Jan SNEL delivered two buildings for this purpose. Th ere are offi ces, spa-ce for the sale of tickets and a fi tness centre in them. Th e buildings meet fi re resistance requirements in the duration of 60 minutes and have concrete fl oors. Th e colour of the buildings was chosen in the club colours of the football club FC Bruges.(3)

/ KOMA introduces itselfat the trade fair in Peru

KOMA MODULAR introduced itself at the SITDEF trade fair in Peru. It was awarded with a diploma, which was handed over to the KOMA MODULAR director Stanislav Martinec by Rosario Fernández Figueroa, the Chairman of the Council of Ministers.

In the exotic American-Indian country, KOMA MODULAR was the only representative of the Czech Republic at the trade fair. Besides presentation of its products, assemblable C3F containers and E3E containers constructable without cranes, KOMA MODULAR approached the trade fair as interest research regarding the products that will be the core for off ers of the affi liated organization KOMA SPACE from Vienna. Considering the interest shown and acquired contacts, an agreement on representation on markets in South America was signed.(2)

/ Modules from Vizovice to Venezuela

At the beginning of January, KOMA MODULAR wel-comed an honoured visit from Venezuela at its head offi ce. Mr Víctor Julián Hernández León, the ambassa-dor of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela visited it.

Th e Venezuelan delegation was also accompanied by Mr Miguel Alejandro González Ziegler, the second se-cretary of the ambassador. Stanislav Martinec, director and founder acted on behalf of KOMA MODULAR.

Th e purpose of the meeting was to fi nd intersections of possible cooperation. Th e Venezuelan party was very interested in the quick and economical method of construction. Th e delegation agreed that the E3E container is ideal for use on the Venezuelan market for the construction of accommodation facilities. At the meeting, it was agreed that both parties shall attempt, by common eff ort, to introduce E3E modu-les onto the Venezuelan market.(1)

KOMA se představilana veletrhu v Peru

KOMA MODULAR se představila na veletrhu SITDEF v Peru. Byla tam oceněna diplomem, který řediteli KOMA MODULAR Stanislavu Martincovi předal předseda Rady ministrů Rosario Fernández Figueroa.

V exotické indiánské zemi byla KOMA MODULAR na veletrhu jediným zástupcem České republiky. Vedle prezentace svých výrobků, skladatelných kontejnerů C3F a kontejnerů sestavitelných bez po-moci jeřábů E3E, pojala KOMA MODULAR veletrh jako průzkum zájmu o výrobky, které budou tvořit páteř nabídek sesterské organizace, vídeňské KOMA SPACE. Vzhledem k projevenému zájmu a udržení získaných kontaktů byla podepsána dohoda o zastu-pování na trzích Jižní Ameriky.(2)

Moduly z Vizovic do Venezuely

Počátkem ledna ve svém sídle KOMA MODULAR přivítala vzácnou návštěvu z Venezuely. Navštívil ji pan ambassador Víctor Julián Hernández León, velvyslanec Bolívarovské republiky Venezuela.

Delegace ze strany Venezuely byla doplněna ještě druhým tajemníkem ambassadora panem Migu-elem Alejandro Gonzálezem Zieglerem. Ze strany KOMA MODULAR jednal její ředitel a zakladatel Stanislav Martinec.

Cílem schůzky bylo najít průsečíky k možné spo-lupráci. Venezuelskou stranu velmi zaujal rychlý a ekonomický způsob výstavby. Delegace se shodla, že kontejner E3E je ideální pro uplatnění na ve-nezuelském trhu pro stavby ubytovacích zařízení. Na schůzce padla dohoda, že se obě strany společný-mi silami zasadí o zavedení modulů E3E na vene-zuelský trh.(1)

Das Audit hat die Inspektion aus Exxon Mobil dur-chgeführt. Exxon Mobil ist eine der zweitgrößten Firmen auf der Welt .

Nach einem Jahr wurde die KOMA MODULAR wieder von Exxon Mobil im Bereich der explosion-sbeständigen Gebäuden für die Raffi nerie Esso in Norwegen geprüft . Die Bauobjekte müssen die Anfor-derungen der Betriebsstätte (diesmal ein Stahlwerk) erfüllen, explosionsbeständig sein und im Falle einer Explosion das Leben der Mitarbeiter schützen.

Die KOMA MODULAR ist eine der wenigen Firmen auf der Welt, die fähig ist, sowohl die Forderungen der Prüfer, als auch die hohen Anforderungen an die Qualität und Sicherheit zu erfüllen.(6)

/ KOMA passesaudit of high quality again

Th e audit was performed by inspection from Exxon Mobil, the fi rm which is, according to income and profi ts, one of the two biggest in the world.

Aft er one year, KOMA MODULAR was recontrolled by auditors from Exxon Mobil for further deliveries of explosion resistant buildings for the Esso Norway´s re-fi nery. Modular buildings for Exxon Mobil must meet the requirements of business premises (a steel mill in this case), must be explosion resistant and in the case of explosion, they must protect the lives of employees.

KOMA MODULAR is one of the few fi rms in the world able to meet the demanding requirements of the auditors and also the very demanding require-ments regarding the quality and safety of modules.(6)

/ Belgien – ein für den modularen Ausbau gelobtes Land

Die KOMA MODULAR blieb dieses Jahr in Belgien nicht nur bei der Umsetzung des Projektes für den Fußballclub in Brügge. Sie hat auch in Sint-Niklaas eine modulare Schule gebaut.

Es handelte sich um einen Anbau an früher gelieferten Kindergarten. Die modulare Bauweise beweist hier einen ihrer einzigartigen Vorteile - schnelle und problemlose Erweiterung. Dessen sind sich die Vertreter der Stadt Sint-Niklass bewusst und haben sich deshalb für die Bauweise entschieden.

Das Gebäude ist mit „Trespa“ verkleidet. Dies ver-leiht ihm den Look eines feststehenden Gebäudes, wobei seine Variabilität nicht behindert ist.(5)

/ Belgium – the promised landfor modular constructions

Th is year KOMA MODULAR did not only realize base of the football club in Bruges in Belgium, but it also constructed a modular school in Sint-Niklaas.

In fact, it is an additional building to the already de-livered kindergarten. Th ereby the modular construc-tion proved one of its exceptional advantages – the possibility of extending the building quickly and without problems. Th e representatives of the town of Sint-Niklaas obviously also considered this, therefore they decided for this method of construction.

Th e building is covered by the “trespa” facing and the-refore it acquired an image of a permanent building, but still its variability is in no way endangered.(5)

/ KOMA Module für die Slavia

Die Slavia hat den 3. November ein neues Fußballzen-trum für Jugendliche eröff net, das die KOMA MODU-LAR hergestellt, geliefert und zusammenmontiert hat.

Die neuen Räume für die Jugendmannschaft en befi ndet sich in Eden zwischen dem Athletikstadion und den Fußballtrainingsplätzen auf dem Platz der vorherigen Bauobjekte. In dem zweistöckigen Ge-bäude befi nden sich Räume für alle Jugendteams, von den jüngsten Anfängern bis zu den siebzehn-jährigen Talenten.

Im Untergeschoss des Objektes befi nden sich Räu-me für technische Mitarbeiter. Hier werden auch das Sekretariat und die Trainer untergebracht. Die Zugangstreppen sind mit Portraits von Martin Vani-ak und Vladimír Šmicer geschmückt.(4)

/ KOMA modules for football Slavia

On Th ursday, November 3, Slavia festively opened the new building of the Football Centre for Youth, which was manufactured, delivered and installed by KOMA MODULAR.

Th e new base for youth units of Slavia is located in the grounds in Eden between the athletics stadium and football training pitches in place of the original buildings. In the two-fl oor building, all youth teams, from the youngest teams to seventeen-year-old talents will have their base.

On the ground fl oor, are based the technical emplo-yees, as well as the secretariat and youth coach. Two access staircases are decorated by large-size photos by Martin Vaniak and Vladimír Šmicer.(4)

KOMA opět prošlaauditem vysoké kvality

Audit provedla inspekce z Exxon Mobilu, z fi rmy, která je podle výnosů a zisků jednou ze dvou největ-ších na světě.

Po roce byla KOMA MODULAR opět zkontrolována auditory Exxon Mobilu pro další dodávky budov odolných proti výbuchu pro rafi nerii Esso v Norsku. Modulární budovy pro Exxon Mobil musí splňovat požadavky provozovny (tentokrát ocelárny), musí být odolné proti explozi a v případě výbuchu musí zachránit život pracovníkům.

KOMA MODULAR je jedna z mála fi rem na svě-tě, která je schopna splnit jak náročné požadavky auditorů, tak velmi náročné požadavky na kvalitu a bezpečnost modulů.(6)

Belgie – modulární výstavbězemě zaslíbená

KOMA MODULAR tento rok nezůstala v Belgii jen u realizace zázemí fotbalového klubu v Bruggách, ale v Sint-Niklaas postavila modulární školu.

Ta je v podstatě přístavbou k již dříve dodané mateřské školce. Tím modulární výstavba dokazuje jednu ze svých výjimečných výhod – možnost velmi rychle a bezproblémově stavbu rozšířit. To si zřejmě uvědomují i zastupitelé města Sint-Niklaas, a proto se rozhodli pro tento způsob výstavby.

Budova je obložena obkladem „trespa“ a získává tak vzhled stálé budovy, přesto její variabilita není nikterak ohrožena.(5)

Moduly KOMA pro fotbalovou Slavii

Slavia ve čtvrtek 3. listopadu slavnostně otevřela novou budovu Fotbalového centra mládeže, které vyrobila, dodala a smontovala KOMA MODULAR.

Nové zázemí pro mládežnické celky sešívaných se nachází v areálu v Edenu mezi atletickým sta-dionem a tréninkovými hřišti fotbalistů na místě původních objektů. Ve dvoupatrové budově najdou zázemí všechny mládežnické týmy od nejmenších přípravek až po sedmnáctileté talenty .

V přízemí objektu se nachází zázemí pro technické pracovníky. Bude zde sídlit i sekretariát a trenéři mládeže. Dvě přístupová schodiště zdobí velkoplošné fotografi e Martina Vaniaka a Vladimíra Šmicera.(4)
