    Our Annual Chicken Fundraiser is April 13th. As always

    we need the help and support of all of our Lions and the

    community. If you can come down and help us, we would

    love to have you. If you plan on coming please contact Lion

    Richard Kaneko or Lion Gavin Hall (222—8000) so that we

    can make sure to have something fun for you lined up.

    Community Appreciation Dinner

    The Saturday after the chicken sale we are hosting a dinner

    to thank the community and individuals who support our Li-

    ons club. Please contact Gavin Hall (222-8000) if you are

    coming or would like to help out.

    KOKO HEAD 67 YEARS YOUNG -Hiro Nishida

    The Koko Head Lions Club will observe its 67th Charter Anniversary and Installation

    Banquet on Wednesday, May 7, 2014, with Past District Governor Mervin Wee as our

    Installing Officer.

    PLACE: Maple Garden Chinese Restaurant, 909 Isenberg Street

    TIMES: 5:30 p.m. – Check In; Hosted Cocktails

    6:00 p.m. – Call to Order; 6-course Chinese Dinner to follow

    7:00 p.m. – Program including door prizes

    8:30 p.m. – Scheduled adjournment.

    COST: $30

    DRESS: Aloha Attire

    Payment may be made at the door with check(s) payable to Koko Head Lions Club. If

    possible, Club Treasurers are requested to issue a single club check for your own mem-

    bers. However, members showing up with individual checks, (with prior commitment

    by the date and means stipulated below), will still be allowed to join the celebration,

    of course.

    [Koko Head Members: Whether attending or not, donations of cash

    or prizes are welcomed --- though not required to remain in our

    good graces. But let Richard Kaneko know of your good intentions.

    Coming East on H1:

    1. Continue on Kalanianaole Hwy (72) to the signal light at Halemaumau St.

    2. This is four signal lights after the Aina Haina Shopping Center (McDonald’s on the left)

    3. Move to the far LEFT of the three lanes.

    4. You will pass Kawaikui Park on your left and the BEFORE Halemaumau is Puuikena Drive.

    5. Get into the left turn lane at Halemaumau and wait for the green arrow.

    6. You will pass through five intersections before you see the school on the LEFT.

    7. Park in any space available.

    8. The cafeteria is the large building with the screen doors in front of you.

    Coming West on Kalanianaole Hwy:

    1. Stay in the right lane on Kalanianaole Hwy (72) past the Niu Valley Shopping Center.

    2. A 7-Eleven is visible in the center.

    3. Although this intersection is Halemaumau, it is EAST Halemaumau and not the one you want.

    4. Continue through two sets of signal lights past Kentucky Fried Chicken on the right.

    5. The next intersection is Halemaumau.

    6. Turn RIGHT on Halemaumau.

    7. Follow numbers 6 through 8 above.
