Softball- The hardest conversation to have with a team is the last one of the year. Only one team
gets a trophy that matters, everyone else leaves disappointed. I could not be more proud
of our girls and coaches. We fought to a 2-2 tie into the last inning when Creekview won
on a grand-slam, ending our season. I want to thank everyone involved in the program
and wish our graduating seniors and parents the best of luck in the future.

On the Run- Both of our teams are really hitting their stride. The girls took home the first place trophy this weekend at Nash Farms, and the boys ran their best race of the year. Weather permitting, we will run in the County Meet Wednesday, and get one step close to the Region Meet. I’m really proud of our runners. They work as hard as anybody with little fan-fare.

My mother called me Hurricane Michael…
I always wanted a hurricane to have my name, but not during HOCO week. We want every-
one to enjoy the hard-work and efforts that have gone into all of our events, so we are moving
the parade from Wednesday to Friday at 6:00 pm. There is an altered route to the parade to
keep our football operations in order and allow for pre-game traffic. Be sure to set up for the
parade between Mill Creek and River Ridge. We appreciate everyone making the adjustment
and look forward to a packed Friday night.
Something for You to Use…

Support Your Knights…
Once again, Shottenkirk Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep has given an amazing gift to all CCSD High Schools. A 2018 Jeep Wrangler has been donated so all of our sports teams can sell raffle tickets and earn money for their programs. Tickets are only $5, and all profits go to the team that you purchase from. Ask an athlete or member of the band for a ticket. They would be happy to sell you a few...

Powder Puff is Back! We had a great night at Powder-Puff. The games were a blast, seniors won, and we had the added bonus of being able to recognize a group of great teachers who are
really appreciated by our students.

Special Olympics is the event I look forward to the most at River Ridge. It is inspiring and humbling to see these courageous young men and women compete, and also see the love and respected showed to them from our community. Make it a point to come out and experience
this event next October.

Marching Knight! Our Marching Knights have had a packed couple of weeks. Competitions, performances, and hosting the CCSD Band Exhibition have made for quite the busy few days. They sound great, and add so much to Friday night and the school.
