Grand Knights Corner
Brothers,
Our May 14th Council meeting included a First Degree Exemplification which brought us three new knights. Welcome Jon Snowman, Richard Langen and Ernes-to Victoria to St. Brendan’s Knights of Columbus Council. They will be a great addi-tion and have stated their desire to contribute to the activities of the Council. Wel-come to each of you.
The Vidalia Onion sale held on the first two weekends of May was a great success. All onions were sold. Great job by Tony Terbrueggen in coordinating the receipt and distribution of the onions, and a thank you to the Knights who took the time to help with the sales after masses.
On May 5th, our Council’s Fourth Degree Sir Knights provided the Honor Guard for two First Communion Masses. The First Communicants and many parents ex-pressed their thanks for the service that the Knights provided.
Coming up in June:
June’s Council (on the 11th) meeting will be a “Reunion Meeting”, inviting all Council members to come and enjoy a bar-b-que in the backyard of the Faith Formation Center. There will be a brief meeting format to address a couple of issues, then en-joy good food and good company.
June 17th after the 10:40 am mass, we will have the installation of 2018-2019 Coun-cil Officers. District Deputy John Friedline will preside over the ceremony and Fr. Matthew will be there for blessing the officers. Council members are encouraged to attend the ceremony to show your support. This will only take about 15-20 minutes.
June 24th will bring us the Council’s Annual Awards Dinner, at the Manor Country Club. Great food and good time. A great night out with your wife or friend. All Knights are welcome. Contact James Borzak at [email protected] or 404-510-3310.
Remember:
“Challenge the Council and challenge yourself, to be the best ever!”
God Bless you all.
Fraternally,
Alan Fralick, W.G.K.

16. Insurance Update Stephen Znoj. My wife and I were in Ireland/Scotland last week as a re-sult of a successful year of insurance sales. Weather was unpredictable. They had an inter-esting approach with weather. They said no such thing as bad weather, the problem is bad clothing.” Same thought process with insurance. Need to look at long term care, disability or supplemental life based on needs. Don’t let upcoming open enrollment leave with holes in your insurance or needs unfulfilled. Let me help you take control of your life insurance with an analysis of your needs.
17. District Deputy Update John Friedline, Numbers of new Knights aren’t my priority even though Supreme asks all the time about the numbers. We need to find quality people who get engaged to make us a stronger organization. Congratulations on your Council’s achieve-ments this year. For those of you attending the National Convention this weekend, make sure you have your membership cards, and rosary beads or getting in will be extremely difficult.

Message from our Field Agent
Fathers Plan, Fathers Protect
From the beginning, the Knights of Columbus has been a family-first organization.
Father McGivney was striving to find Catholic men who could come together to protect and support the families in their communities who needed it most – including their own.
Today, the mission remains the same. As we celebrate Fathers’ Day here in the United States, it’s a great time to evaluate how we’re doing.
The Knights of Columbus has more than $105 billion of life insurance in force, covering the lives of hundreds of thousands of our members and their families.
Knights across North America continue to trust their Order to protect them and to see to it that their loved ones are well taken care of once they’re gone.
The numbers keep increasing. The year 2017 marked the 17th consecutive year of increased new
business life insurance sales.
The Knights of Columbus was also designated a 2017 World's Most Ethical Company by the Ethisphere Institute.
More and more members are preparing to leave behind legacies of protection for their loved ones.
But how are each of us doing on an individual level? How well protected are our families? Are we certain that the insurance that we have in place is enough to cover their needs? Is it enough to allow those left behind to remain in their homes, to attend college, to continue to live the lives their accus-tomed to? Would we even know how to begin calculating and projecting those needs?
There are a lot of moving pieces and parts that go into calculating just how much your life is worth in dollars and cents. You’re worth far more to your family than simply a number on a page, of course, but you do provide for them. If you’re no longer able to, you want to make sure that their lives are not further devastated by your absence.
These calculations and determinations are not ones that you need to make on your own. I can help you identify what you need to do in order to adequately protect your family. I will gladly perform this custom analysis for you and your family absolutely free
Helping your family to prepare for life without you is one of the most selfless actions you can make.
So, this Fathers’ Day, as your family shows you how much they love you and how much you mean to them, show them how much they mean to you. Make an appointment with me for your custom analysis, and begin to build an insurance portfolio that will guarantee their protection after you’re gone.
