Announcements
Week of Warmth
Today is the deadline to donate new and gently used
clothing, blankets, and home furnishings to give to local
people in need.
The youth will sort the items today for
donation. There are collection boxes in
the Conference Room for drop-offs. Please
be a part of this opportunity to share
God’s love and help those less fortunate.
Backpack Buddies - Thank you ALL for the ongoing food donations you provide for Backpack Buddies. The weekend meals are going to children at Knightdale Elementary School who might otherwise have little or no food from Friday until they return to school Monday morning. We need lots of kid-friendly non-perishable food items to maintain this ministry (a grocery list can be found in the vestibule for you to take home). The food collection bins are located in the Education Building and the vestibule of the Sanctuary. Thank you again for supporting this ministry. YMT Meeting - Today from 4:00 - 6:00 pm in the Conference Room. Mission Team Meeting - Monday, January 26th at 7:00 pm in the Conference Room. Upward - Next games will be Saturday, January 31st beginning at 9:00 am. Next practice is January 27th at 6:00 pm in the Family Life Center. Youth Super Bowl Party - Sunday, February 1st at 5:3o pm at the Maynard’s home. Come celebrate with us as we enjoy food, fun, fellowship, and football. Please bring a food item to share and your love for football. Deacon’s Meeting - Monday, February 2nd at 7:00 pm in the Conference Room. Properties Committee Meeting - Thursday, February 5th at 7:00 pm in the Conference Room.
Announcements
KBC BBQ and Bazaar - The date for the big event is set for Saturday, May 16th, so mark your calendars. Lots of items are needed for the silent and live auction and now is the time to be looking and asking for donations. This committee needs everyone collecting/donating items for it to succeed. If you utilize a service a lot, such as, nail salon, hair salon, auto-mechanic, exterminator, etc., please consider asking them for a donation to our auction - never hurts to ask! Also, does anyone own a home or timeshare at the beach or the mountains? If you do, would you please consider donating a weekend or a weeks stay to the auction? Ask for Savings Bonds where you bank, or ask for green fees and a cart where you golf - you get the idea! KBC BBQ and Bazaar Planning Meeting - Thursday, February 5th at 7:00 pm in the Fellowship Hall.
The Raleigh Rescue Mission relies on the support of local communities to
minister to thousands of men, women and children who turn to them in need
throughout the year. We can partner with them throughout the year by
providing them with “Tubs of Love.”
““““HYGIENE TUB OF LOVEHYGIENE TUB OF LOVEHYGIENE TUB OF LOVEHYGIENE TUB OF LOVE”
Bath Towels Washcloths Soap Body Wash
Disposable Razors Shaving Cream Body Lotion Toothpaste
Q-tips Dental Floss Toothbrushes Hair Brushes
Combs Alcohol-Free Mouthwash Shampoo Conditioner
Feminine Products Flip Flops (shower shoes)
From now until February 22nd we will be collecting the above items. These are
regular sized items, not travel/trial. There will be TUBS throughout the church
for you to place these items in.
Thanks for your support,
The Mission Team
