WHAT’S HAPPENING AT KITS HOUSE!

Bumble Bear Daycare Waitlist is Open

Kits House will be opening a new Daycare as part of the re-developed Neighbourhood House with 2 spots for children

30-36 months & 23 spots for children 36 month- 5 years.

Bumblebear Daycare creates a community of learning, where community development work meets early childhood education. We embrace the process of learning, encouraging our teachers to be present, listening and growing alongside our children. We support the interests of the children. The materials offered to the children are rich with creative possibilities. Highly qualified staff ensure a Reggio Emelia[1] inspired approach to learning through their delight in children, an understanding of the value of play, their vision, heart, knowledge, skills, and a strong commitment to families. We encourage our learners to think creatively, to innovate, while experiencing the world through compassionate eyes. Anticipated Start: October 2014 with gradual entry.

Waitlist: We are opening the waitlist on Monday February 24th, 2014. Please visit the Kits House offices at 3683 West 4th Ave (at Alma) 2nd floor.

Arts Shine for Love – May 23rd

Join us to celebrate the diversity of our communities and help raise funds

for the redevelopment of the Kitsilano Neighbourhood House!

The Arts Shine for Love fundraiser will take place on Friday, May 23rd

,

2014 from 5:00-9:00pm in the Auditorium of Lord Byng Secondary School

at 3939 West 16th

Ave.

This fundraiser consists of two parts. From 5 to 6:30pm is the ‘Emerging

Young Artist Silent Auction’, featuring original paintings by talented

newcomer youth as well as other fabulous goods and services donated

by local businesses and individuals. From 7 to 9pm is the ‘Art Shines for

Love’ multicultural variety show featuring newcomer’s talents from

schools across the Vancouver School Board district.
