This type of drain pipe in the form of an eaves gutter is the most common design. The half-round type offers fluidically favourable conditions for the drainage of the water. The rounded pipe body always leads the water into the middle, so that even with a low quantity of flow the deposit of soiling such as foliage etc. will be avoided to a large extent. Concerning the material utilisation, the semi-circle is also the most beneficial form. This also applies to stability in relation to mechanical demands, as for example the formation of ice.
The predominant part of all gutters made by KME Architectural Metals GmbH & Co. KG are manufactured with a patent-registered bulge cutout as an integrated fit-up aid.
In order to link gutters with an ideal soldering gap and without a subsequent deformation as well as to provide for a perfect run of the drain pipe, it has been so far necessary to cut out the edge of the bulge. This additional work step is now omitted.

Concerning the respective type of drain pipe there are round as well as quadratic downpipes available in different measurements. Standard lengths for a round downpipe are 2 and 3 m. Quadratic downpipes are only available with a length of 2m.
Nowadays downpipes are mainly manufactured with a butt-welded longitudinal joint. Due to the barely visible welded joint the pipes are thick and visually perfect. A pipe coupling with an insertion depth of 50 mm is affixed to one side of the cylindrical pipe.
Downpipes according to DIN EN 612
Gutter-connectorsThe alternative for the expanding of welded gutters is available in copper and titanium zinc in all established nominal sizes.

Box section gutters are also used as eaves gutters. Their shape is in the first instance dominated by creative deliberations. Because due to the flat design of the drain water course their fluidic characteristics are less favourable than the half-round construction, therefore they should always be assembled with a sufficient gradient.

Eaves half-round and box section gutters are fixed on the fascia board or the rafter with the respective gutter brackets. Gutter brackets can either be supplied as key and slot (NFH) or with two slots (FFH). The drain pipe is held in the bulge by the pipe slots or by the key of the gutter bracket. Gutter brackets with two slots are slightly easier to fix and besides offer a less complicated change concerning seamed roofs. Due to the continuous bulge key-/slot holders offer a better visual overall picture.
The solid copper-made gutter brackets offered by KME Architectural Metals GmbH & Co. KG comply with the highest load case – H – for heavy applications of load demanded by DIN EN 1462.
In relation to predominantly uncommon climatic conditions and special regulations by the building authorities special types of gutter brackets that exceed the listed specifica-tions in the table might be required. As load-bearing build-ing components, special demands concerning corrosion resistance exist. KME Architectural Metals GmbH & Co. KG exclusively delivers gutter brackets made of solid copper in the highest corrosion protection class – A - as well as hot – dip galvanised steel brackets of class – B - according to DIN EN 1462.

Profiled gutter bracketsPatented, made of solid copper according to DIN EN 1462
Due to its statically favourable design and due to the high strength of materials developed in the rolling process the profiled gutter bracket fulfils all demands of DIN EN 1462 with optimal material savings. This was confirmed in a test carried out by the independent institute tBu, department of building elements.
Due to the high test load of 750 N the gutter brackets belong to the highest load carrying capacity class (H) according to DIN EN 1462. The use of solid copper leads to the highest corrosion resistance class (A).
Other advantages• Light• Good value• Easy to install• Appealing design
AssemblyDue to the retention of the external dimensions there are no problems with the assembly using common tools. All known assembly techniques are applicable without restriction.
1. Profile cross section2. Profiled gutter bracket NFH and FFH3. Measurement grid 4. Bending tool5. Mark on the bottom of the bracket6. Countersink of the nail- and screw-heads7. Stamp
The measurement grid above the second slot (ill. 3) alleviates the on-site bending of the gutter bracket with a bending tool (ill. 4). A further mark on the bottom of the gutter (ill.5) contributes to the safe de-cording of the brackets. Due to the lowered profiling in the fixing section of the gutter bracket a natural countersink of the nail-and screw-heads will occur (ill.6). With the stamp (ill.7) we document the quality of the gutter bracket.

Pipe brackets
Due to reasons of stability the distance of a pipe bracket to one other may not exceed 3 m having a pipe intersection of up to 100 mm, and with a larger intersection it may add up to 2 m at the most. A minimum distance to the wall of 20 mm alleviates the assembly and avoids dirt caused by foliage or spider webs. In order to avert the slipping of rainwater pipes of all individual lengths one ought to arrange bulges or keys above the pipe brackets.

Gutter stop ends complete the gutter. They are offered as flat – and quarter ball – tails. The connection to the gutter is preferably carried out by means of soldering or seaming.
The universal stop end allows for a fast and safe assembly without soldering. By this method materials that can only be soldered to a limited extent such as TECU® Patina can also be connected to the gutter by seaming the universal stop end. With its utilisation on both sides, it is applicable to the left as well as to the right hand of the gutter respectively improving the support and the possible application. The sealing ability of the seamed end pieces is altogether sufficient. An absolute sealing can be accomplished by the insertion of a sealant before or after assembly.
Assembly1. Bend up the water edge with pliers.2. Hit the stop end onto the gutter by using a hammer. Thereby the end of the gutter should join the seaming pocket on a length of 3-5 mm at about 90°.3. Afterwards firmly press together the seam by using the pliers.

In order to receive fluidically good value for the calculation of the gutter according to DIN EN 12 056-3 it is urgently demanded to make use of a funnel-shaped outlet or a hopper. Also in order not to block the expansion of the gutter funnel-shaped suspension, outlets and hoppers are to be recommended. Other outlets should only be used with over dimensioned gutters.

Downpipe caps, half beads, downpipe - reducers
Downpipe caps are available in two types fitting the downpipe cross section. The downpipe cap serves as a connection from the downpipe to the cast iron downpipe, downpipe caps without a coupling piece are used at transitions from the downpipe to the plastic sewage pipe.
The half bead, preferably riveted above the clip, averts the slipping of the downpipe within the pipe bracket.
With cross section changes from the larger to the next smaller downpipe diameter downpipe reducers can be applied.

Rainwater downpipe flaps,water collectors
In order to collect precious rainwater for the garden there are many systems which manually or automatically lead the rainwater from the downpipe to a suitable reservoir.
The NOWA-MATIC® rainwater downpipe flap prevents the flooding of rainwater barrels by automatically closing it at a certain previously adjusted water level. After the removal of rainwater the NOWA-MATIC® flap also reopens automatically.
1. Easy and trouble-free installation.2. Automatic closing.3. The outlet can be easily folded up during the winter
months.

Gutter corners contribute to the change of direction in the run of the gutter. Preferably the gutter corners are manufactured industrially as internal or external corners in lowered design with 300 mm leg length.
In exceptional cases, for example with non-lowerable materials, soldered gutter corners with 500 mm leg length are still manufactured. Because the internal corners virtu-ally always have to take a large amount of rainwater via the valley a hopper or a scrubber baffle should be arranged for safety reasons at this spot.

All materials for roofing are exposed to extremely strong temperature changes. At a temperature difference of 100°C the expansion of the different building materials per one metre measures approximately:• Steel 1.2 mm• Copper 1.7 mm• Titanium zinc 2.2 mm• Aluminium 2.4 mm
Experience has shown that the soldered seams or bonded joints of bituminized sheet with metal parts are especially at risk due to these material expansions. By the installation of expansion elements the change in length in the elastic middle section is selectively balanced. The high-quality rubber mixtures used are resistant to UV radiation, ozone and extreme climatic influences.
Type 1280 and 1290These are double-sided vulcanised gutter elements with panels. The ready-to-install expansion compensators are available in all standard sizes in TECU® Classic and titanium zinc (brightly rolled).
Type 1285 and 1295These types are one-sided vulcanised gutter expansion elements which are especially suitable for the use of surface–treated materials such as TECU® Patina or pre-weathered titanium zinc. We offer half-round and box section elements. The gutter expansion joints consist of 2 parts, the gutter profile with the rubber middle section which is laid above the installed un-soldered gutter seam and which is connected to the gutter by soldering its ends to it.
The expansion roll with a building width of 260 mm is mainly applied in the area of parapet – and wall coverings as well as with special measurements at internal box section gutters (shed gutters).
Recommended benchmarks for the maximum distances of expansion elements with stretched length (valid for half-round and box section gutters up to 500 mm cutting): TECU® copper / titanium zinc: 15 m.
Example of installation:Eaves copper – or titanium zinc gutter up to 500 mm cut-ting. With the use of external corners the length specifica-tions have to be halved, with internal corners the specifica-tions of length have to be quartered.

The gutter bracket – cover plate is a patented new development with which – especially with the application of special surfaces – the installation of rainwater systems becomes more cost-effective, appealing and easier.
From now on gutter bracket – cover plates made of the same material as the gutter itself are available for all copper- , zinc- and aluminium surfaces. Additionally the gutter bracket – cover plate is an ideal solution for the maintenance sector. In the future old gutters can be removed much more easily because existing gutter brackets – also with a change of material – do not have to be removed.
Here, the gutter bracket – cover plate is an ideal and technically appealing solution.
To avoid contact corrosion a standard, easy-to-install layer of stretch film is wrapped around the bracket.
InstallationHow to replace an old zinc gutter by a copper gutter as time effectively as possible:1. Wrap the old galvanised gutter bracket with stretch film
in order to protect it from contact corrosion2. Insert the copper gutter and fit the gutter bracket-cover
plate3. Readily installed gutter bracket –cover plate

The patented gutter-connector equipped with highly elastic and temperature resistant sealing is easy and fast to install. The gutter intersections are durably sealed and harmoniously fit the image of the façade. Smaller holes in the gutter and permeable soldered seams can be durably repaired within seconds.
Gutter- connectors are available in various measurements and in all standard materials and surfaces and have an essential advantage in respect to soldering - and bonding techniques:
• Durably safe sealing• Easy transition of materials which are difficult to solder• No expansion joints necessary and therefore very
cost-effective• Clean and discreet transition• Re-usable, easy to remove• Installation not subject to changes in weather• No deformation and discolouration as with soldering• Easy repair of gutters and permeable
soldered transitions• Minor setting periods• No fire hazard during installation
The gutter- connectors have been tested by the indepen-dent institute tBU department of building conservation for permeability over a simulated test period of over 20 years. All gutter-connectors made of the most different materials have passed this test.
Installation1. Screw the gutter-connector into the bulge2. Feed it onto the gutter using even pressure3. Bend overlaying ears around the water angle of the
gutter with pliers4. Ready gutter connection

Leaf guard
The leaf guard – system with TECU® Classic_flatmesh or Alu-Net reliably prevents the accumulation of leaves in the gutter. The principle of TECU® Classic_flatmesh is simple and convincing: the above arched gutter guard is simply laid with the aperture facing down into the gutter and is fixed with stainless steel brackets. Incoming leaves stay on the bow, are able to dry and are blown away by the wind. In this manner the inside of the gutter stays leaf-free. Rainwater can drain evenly. Even with large amounts of leaves and strong rainfalls the water drainage is guaranteed. Because the gutter guard is not situated inside the water course of the gutter, small dirt particles are unobstructedly drained off with the rainwater.
For every gutter the respective leaf guard • TECU® Classic_flatmesh: leaf guard made of copper suitable for all copper gutters• Alu-Net: leaf guard made of aluminium suitable
for all non-copper materials

ing light pressure with the strengthening support facing the roof.
2. Lead the installation bracket starting from the gutter bulge through the mesh of the gutter guard underneath the roofing tile.
3. Press the installation bracket onto the bulge of the gutter.
4. In order to achieve an even installation it is useful to overlap the next gutter guard by approximately 2-3 cm.
5. Shorten the last gutter guard with ordinary plate shears to the desired length.
6. Internal and external corners are mitre cut.

Downpipespatented
The patented downpipe consists of a KG-sewage pipe with a metal cladding. The metal cladding can alternatively be delivered made of the following materials and surfaces:
• TECU® Classic• TECU® Oxid• TECU® Patina• TECU® Zinn• Titanium zinc, brightly rolled• Titanium zinc, pre-weathered
All advantages of a common downpipe made of thick –walled copper or steel remain. Additionally an ideal price-performance ratio is achieved by the combination of the materials. At present downpipes for the nominal size DN 100 mm measuring 1.00 m length with cladding are offered.
By installing it using a cleaning pushing tool the installation as well as the possibly required cleaning is simplified. A cleaning flap is therefore not necessary. The scope of delivery contains a pipe bracket for the fixing of the downpipe and a downpipe cap for the connection of the pushing tool to the downpipe.
Assembly instructions1. After the connection of the KG – inner tube with the drainage system …2. … the downpipe cap is put on.3. The cleaning pushing tool is pushed onto the end of the downpipe.4. After the installation the standpipe in connection with the pushing tool offers a homogeneous picture.
Further information concerning our downpipe range made of galvanised steel on request.

Nonstandard profiles
Nonstandard profiles or non-standard chamfers can be manufactured according to drawings showing exact dimen-sions using all materials.
Standard length: max. 3000 mm (up to 6000 mm on request)Width: up to 1000 mmThickness: max. 1.5 mmSmallest chamfer: min. 10 mm
For the protection of the building, building profiles made of different materials are used. By bonding, clamping or direct bolting the profiles adapted to the building are fixed. Lengths measuring more than 3000 mm cannot be fixed directly due to the different expansion of the materials. In order to increase the stability of some profiles it is recommended to work with basis cover plates (coloured red in the drawings) made of coated steel or aluminium 1.0 mm –2.0 mm.
Larger radii can be manufactured by embossing. Hereby circular bend copper profiles are manufactured in many consecutive bending steps using a modern CNC – folding bench.

The material initially has the optical quality of a blank copper surface which in the course of time under atmospheric weathering and under the formation of oxide develops into a dark brown surface. Later the well-known patina green colour, which grants buildings its characteristic look over many decades, gradually develops on angled surfaces.

xid For the creation of this surface copper sheets and –strips are pre-oxidised
on both sides using a procedure which has been developed by KME and is covered by patents. In this manner the initially blank phase is bridged in order to be able to use the dark brown oxide layer during on –site -installation immediately. The colouration is not artificially but naturally produced from the copper and further develops under atmospheric weathering .

The oxide layer which has been generated from the copper corresponds to the green patina which has developed as a result of atmospheric influences over a long period of time. Right from the start TECU® Patina lends the roof or the façade an optical impression of the characteristic copper patina green.

rass TECU® Brass is a surface made of brass, an alloy made of copper and zinc.
The initially red-golden colour develops very vividly and with its very own characteristic during free weathering. After primary matting a green-brown colour develops which later gradually descends via a grey-brown colour to a dark-brown anthracite shade. Eventually a patina layer with its own characteristic forms at tilted surfaces.

e TECU® Bronze is an alloy made of copper and tin. Under free weathering the warm auburn colour of this surface presents a very typical development in terms of colour. After a brown-red oxidation of the surface with a brown-grey colourisation of the material base the colourisation of the material towards a dark-brown anthracite colour gradually takes place. The following formation of patina happens considerably more slowly than with classic copper.

KME Architectural Metals GmbH & Co. KG only processes TECU® copper from its parent company KME Germany AG & Co. KG. KME produces copper products for roofs and façades under the brand name TECU®. Available in a classic copper red, a pre-oxidised brown, a pre-patinated green, a tin-coated grey or in the new materials TECU® Gold, TECU® Brass and TECU® Bronze the material copper is handling-friendly and durable as would be expected. The natural surfaces offer various combination possibilities with other on-site materials.
Among metals in the construction sector copper has the highest durability because it is corrosion–resistant against atmospheric influences and against influences from the inside of the building. It is not susceptible to back side cor-rosion. The installation of difficult details is also smoothly possible with temperatures below 0°C.

the assembly with other metals is possible.
• Steel studs of compression rivets are unusable outdoors• Galvanic copper platings of galvanised construction parts can strengthen corrosion processes;
they do not represent corrosion protection.• Independent of possible results of the contact corrosion joints between construction parts and
overlaps should strictly be formed in such a way so that no gap is produced in which humidity and especially toxic-enhanced rainwater can be capillary bound. Although the gap corrosion which develops under such conditions is independent of the metal combination the outcome of a possible contact corrosion can be reinforced by a gap corrosion.

Titanium zinc, DIN EN 988, brightly rolledThe classic among facade- and roofing systems. The material is delivered brightly rolled and in the course of time develops a matt-finished grey protective layer on the object due to weathering. The reason for its frequent use in rainwater systems is the low price paired with a sufficiently good corrosion characteristic. By the additives of copper and little amounts of titanium the fatigue strength and the workability independent of the rolling direction as well as the cold-shortness are improved.
Physical characteristicsThickness: 7.2 kg/dm3
Melting point: 418 °CCoefficient of expansion : Lt at 100 K (∆t) = 2.2mm/m
Titanium zinc, DIN EN 988, pre-weatheredDirectly after rolling this product undergoes a pre-weathering process. By this a homogenous matt-finished grey optical surface characteristic with a very distinctive, satined gloss develops. And for planners it is not unimportant to know that the desired even characteristic of the surface lasts for many years. Otherwise the pre-weathered quality possesses the same characteristics as the brightly rolled titanium zinc.

FalZinc®
Specially developed for the manual processing FalZinc® combines the material advantages of aluminium and zinc. In the patented PEGAL-process the durable connection of the two complementing materials is produced. Hereby the aluminium core receives a pre-weathered zinc surface. The aluminium core consists of a sea water-proof aluminium alloy AlMn1 Mg 0.5 according to DIN EN 573-3.
In exemplary manner the demand of resources protection is fulfilled. Due to the low weight and the high form stability of FalZinc® almost all constructions can be solved with comparably little material effort. Every component of FalZinc® is 100 % recyclable and signifies a long environmentally friendly useful life. FalZinc® is preferably used in roof- and facade cladding.

Pre-cut folded sheets
Roof –and façade claddings made of the most variable materials are carried out in different techniques. The construction technique that one encounters most is the standing seam technology. By a multitude of varieties it has become possible to clad almost every architectural form with metal.
The measurements of the pre–cut folded sheets are standardised as far as possible and they are manufactured with the most modern profile machine. Basically there are two feasible processes for closing the fold, the double standing seam and the angle seam which is predominantly used for wall cladding.
Forms of claddingThe sheet cladding is the most economic and technically best cladding in the manual folding technique. Max. length of sheets 10 m. TECU® Patina is currently only available in sheets.
The pre-cut sheets for sheet cladding are manufactured from sheets and strip cuttings preferably in lengths of up to 3000 mm. By the additional transverse interlocking joints the processing is more complex than with sheet cladding.
Assembly direction
Axial sheet cladding (vertical cladding)Here the seam is at a 90° angle to the roof ridge, eaves or plinth and is suited for all roof-and façade claddings.
Transverse sheet cladding (horizontal cladding)This assembly direction is exclusively suited for façade cladding.
Diagonal claddingThis is preferably suited for façade cladding.

Shingles are cladding elements divided into small sections of up to 600 x 600 mm in various forms which can be nailed or screwed to the substructure using direct or indi-rect fixing with a lying fixation angle. Because shingles can be easily cut or bent out of plates they allow for a weath-erproof construction of all building angles and joints to wall construction materials as well as windows and doors. Normally the shingle façade consists of five components: supporting structure, substructure, one-piece or multi-part thermal insulation, ventilation level and the shingle.
The substructure can consist of a wooden batten or boarding as well as of metal profiles or profiled sheeting. Also on small-area steep pitched construction elements such as attic claddings, canopies, etc. a cladding with shingles is possible under the following preconditions::• Minimum roof pitch façade – and honeycomb sheets 45°,
shingles and rhombus 25°• Entire sub-boarding 24mm• Install sub-cladding with roofing sheets parallel to the
eaves with a min. 8 cm over-cladding

Façade sheets
Façade sheets made of TECU® copper are wall cladding elements which con-struction and processing is based on the shingle technique. Façade sheets are especially suitable for chimney -, cornice-, gable board- and gutter cladding, gable windows and ridges. Due to their mechanically folded seams made of punched cuttings façade sheets with a stable form and standardised measure-ments develop. The façade sheets can be directly fixed using cardboard studs or screws.
The honeycomb sheet is a shape variant of the façade sheet and is offered in all materials.

Cassettes
Basically one can list a series of non-standard façade systems. In essence it concerns mixed constructions made of shingles and panels.
Cassettes and TECU® Cassettes are all side edged façade elements with proportions of 1:1 up to approximately 1:4. According to the construction the cassette façade allows for great flexibility concerning format – and joint design. Horizontal – and vertical joints can be equipped with different joint widths with which the lines of the building can be intentionally emphasised. Because there are edges on all sides, larger plate formats can also be evenly attached to the façade level. Their manufacture is only carried out individually pre-profiled and/ or according to plan. According to the construction the cassette façade allows for a great flexibility concerning formats, joint design and fixation principle. The all side borders enable the entire flatness of even larger plates on the façade level. Normally the cassette façade system consists of five components: support structure, substructure, one-piece or multipart thermal insulation, ventilation level and the cassette. Construction part movements as a result of thermal linear dilatation are levelled by the limitation of the field sizes and the deflection of the substructure. The fixation of the cassettes is normally carried out by riveting technique, screwing technique, with fastening angle or by bolt fitting directly to the substructure.
For the screwing technique the DrillFix-fast drill screw developed by KME Architectural Metals GmbH & Co. KG is especially suitable.

Panels and TECU® panels as slot-in panels with tongue and groove for horizontal and vertical assembly are manu-factured with a construction depth of approximately 25 mm. In their horizontal, vertical and diagonal arrangement slot-in panels are universally suited for the design of venti-lated façades. By their variable joint width of 5-25 mm and profile lengths of approx. 400 – 6000 mm, up to 3000 mm with TECU® Patina, beautiful and interesting façade designs can be realised. With the multitude of utilised materials and their different surfaces attractive designs can be accomplished.
By the assembly using the tongue-/groove principle the panels are fixed in a concealed manner. The transverse –and longitudinal extension have to be observed in a extension-wise separated construction. The substructure can either be made of wooden battens or boarding or metal profiles or profiled sheeting. The panels can be delivered with closed ends on both sides and as a horizontal angle panel.
Joints and stiffener elements complete the system, they serve for the stabilisation of thin plates and therefore guarantee an even façade.
The fixation is preferably carried out with screws which directly fit in with the substructure in the non-visible area of the tongue side. A very efficient fixation method is screwing with the self-drilling KME Architectural Metals GmbH & Co. KG DrillFix-metal screw. With its extremely flat head and the therefore fast assembly it is ideal for the screwing of slot-in panels on a metal substructure.
Laying directions In the case of a vertical assembly the panels can be deliv-ered with additional 90° borders at the end on both sides. The transverse border gives the profile a higher stability and prevents distortion on the visible surface. Vertically laid plates can be assembled left –or right clad.
Horizontal laying panels can be delivered with closed or open ends. Closed ends are separated with horizontally laid pilaster strips. Open slot-in profiles can be linked with backwardly bonded joints to a visually continuous profile. In order to guarantee a durable bonding a double-sided adhesive tape adapted to the metal is offered. Additionally the joints are to be screwed to the panel and /or substruc-ture on one side. The laying of the panel is always carried out top to bottom. The angle formation with horizontal panel laying can be ideally designed using a vertically assembled angle profile or a pre-manufactured angle element. Hereby the angle measures max.110° and is easily adjusted to the angle of the buildin.
Diagonally laid panels are subject to the same processing conditions as the vertical assembly. However, they can only be delivered with open ends.

Round bend panelsSlot-in panels can be either round-bend in convex or concave shape.
Punched panelsA special panel variant is represented by punched panels. Punched panels can be manufactured with the most different punching sizes and shapes. Ideal for ventilation openings and illumination levels without greatly changing the façade structure.
SheetingA sheeting which is added factory-provided protects the surface from manufacturing to assembly. All materials except for TECU® Patina and TECU® Oxid can be delivered with sheeting. In the slot-in area of the panels the sheeting has to be removed before assembly. After the entire assembly the remaining sheeting shall be preferably removed promptly but after 4-6 weeks at the latest.
TolerancesThe allowance of the profile geometry amounts to ± 1.0 mm. The axis measure and therefore also the joint width with a minimum tolerance of ±2.0 mm offers enough possibilities to absorb the construction tolerances. The maximum length tolerance of ± 2.0 mm is to be levelled by an expansion joint.

TECU® Non-standard façade systems
Slats and shading profilesThe shading systems that are integrated into the façade always take a larger position. Here one distinguishes between flexible, predominantly slate –shaped or fixed profiles.
SubstructuresBesides its own substructure made of profiled aluminium sheeting KME Architectural Metals GmbH & Co. KG also arranges for suitable substructure manufacturers with easy-to-install aluminium profiles.
Profiled sheeting substructureDuring the last years more and more wooden substructure has been replaced by incombustible profiled sheeting made of coated aluminium. This substructure is excellently suitable for façade cladding using the folding technique, shingles and panels, and here especially for bent façades but also for barrel-shaped roofs and round gable windows. By its broad high beading the maximum installation face and ventilation level is reached.

Vision TECU®
Perforated sheets and expanded grates made of copper are multiply deployable and offer highly innovative creative possibilities, for example as a self-supporting cassette element in the façade construction sector, as multi-storey car park cladding or ventilation cassettes. Vision TECU® is manufactured in three variants.
TECU®_flatmesh (expanded grate design) is made of the established basic material TECU® Classic. The material is offset cut under expanded deformation and in a further work step is then rolled and straightened by stretching. As a result TECU®_flatmesh receives evenly rounded openings on the surface.

Especially for the manufacturing of bolt-fit cassettes the TECU® Bond material is recommended. Its assembly is easy but efficient: under high pressure 0.3 mm or 0.5 mm copper is bonded on both sides with a 3 mm - plastic core made of polyethylene. The result is a façade material which is easy to process and assemble. The copper surfaces are supplied with a protective plastic sheeting factory-provided which effectively protects the material against dirt during the construction phase.
