Tere are so many ways in which this chal-lenge is being lived out every day in thiscommunity and here at Kalamazoo Loaves
& Fishes. In the past few weeks and monthsyou were making a difference
By Caring and Serving: Tank you tothe hundreds of volunteers who demon-strated caring and serving by helping to getfood to hungry people in this community.Tank you to the women from Hadassah, the employees of Hewitt and Associates, our faithful weekly volunteers, and somany more, who took special time out to
sort food in our chilly warehouse, staff themobile pantry, work in food pantries, pickup food, and other essential tasks.
By Being Determined and Resourceful:Tank you to the St. Lukes Mobile Pantryvolunteers who overcame equipment failureto provide scheduled Mobile Pantry ser-vice to + families in November, to boardmembers who personalized each and everyone of our Fueling Food Security campaign
letters, to delivery volunteers who braved
the uncertain weather to get food to pan-tries, and to all of you who took extra timto help KLF get ready for the winter tocome.
By Working ogether With Others:Tank you to the incredible employeesfrom both local hospital systems (Borgessand Bronson) who organized and contributed canned goods and dollarsprovidinmore than , pounds of food to theKLF network as a part of Michigan Har-vest Gathering; and to the youth and aduat the Indo-American Cultural Center whraised significant amounts of food and dolars again this year for KLF.
By Being Faithful and Struggling forWhat I (We) Believe: Tank you to all ofyou who join us in working to improve fosecurity for everyone in this community. the current economic environment, we arblessed by the faithful support of many astogether, we work to make sure emergencfood support is available to all.
Our Efforts Continue: January is a timwhen the full force of winter is upon us.
Te cold and snow often drive us inside, make us more isolated and, perhaps, pushthe reality of hunger out of our consciousness for a while. Please remember thathunger knows no season. Despite incred-ible fall and holiday season generosity,KLF continues to count on your support, through food, funds, and friends.
ogether, we are making a difference inmany lives. ogether. Tank you!
