June 25, 2017 Dear Brothers of Kappa Kappa Psi, It is my distinct pleasure to be writing this letter of recommendation for Mr. Marco Krcatovich in his candidacy for National Vice President for Colonization and Membership. I have known Marco for over two years and I have had the privilege of collaborating with him during his term as National Vice President for Programs. The new foundations Marco has built this past term for Fraternity programs and outreach, in addition to his inclusion of the student perspective and his passion for our Fraternity’s purposes and core values, has proven that he not only has the best interests of the National organization in mind, but the long-term success of Kappa Kappa Psi and Chapters within it as well. Being a current Western District Governor allowed me the opportunity of working closely with Marco, while gaining insight on the aforementioned qualities I believe him to not only possess, but to excel at. During his term, one aspect of his work that truly stood out to me was the creation and implementation of the Chapter Leadership Finalist scoring rubric used by the National Council and Governors to evaluate Chapter progress and success. This concrete method of reflection and evaluation not only deepened the conversations the National Leadership Team had about Chapters, but included Chapters themselves in the process. Marco devoted hours to meeting with student leadership of each Chapter that applied to be a Chapter Leadership Finalist and their District Governors to go over areas of strength and growth. This process proved very effective for Chapters in our district and highlighted Marco’s student-centered mindset. This will prove invaluable in seeking an office that is centered around our student membership and their experiences and growth. Not only does Marco demonstrate the skills to execute the office of VPCM and build on the work of Brother Thompson, but his unparalleled experience and consistent execution of projects that benefit student development and growth will be invaluable assets throughout his commitment to this organization. If elected Marco will ascend to the Presidency in 2019 during our centennial celebration; having an officer that understands and participated in molding the recent trajectory of the organization and the ability to support and further such growth will be crucial to the National success of Kappa Kappa Psi during such an integral time. Marco has demonstrated his character and commitment to the Brotherhood which will be the consistent thread through his future endeavors as a National Officer. I ask for your consideration of Marco for the office of National Vice President of Colonization and Membership because his never-ending passion for the values of our Fraternity and its long-term success are the cornerstone of his work; Marco exudes Brotherhood and I cannot think of a better person to lead our National Organization for the next six years.
