Hornell Kiwanis Club Father’s Day Car Show This years Car Show attracted over 200 Cars and over 1,000 Spectators to the Kanakadea Park. The Cars start rolling and rumbling into the Park around 9:00 am. The spectators and participants mill around the field of Cars and vote on their favorite Hot Rod or Classic Vehicle. Then around 2:00 the Trophy’s are awarded to the winning participants based on votes of the spectators and participants in various categories.
Hornell Kiwanis Club 2011 Easter Egg HuntThe Kiwanis Club hold an Easter Egg Hunt at Veterans Memorial Park at James Street each year before Easter Sunday. This years Easter Egg Hunt brought hundreds of eager children to gather up 3,000 eggs the Kiwanis Club spread out in the Park.

Hornell Kiwanis Club ScholarshipsEach year for the last several years, the Hornell Kiwanis Club has given two $1,000 scholarships to students majoring in business and continuing their education in the business field. One scholarship is the William W. Giese Hornell High School Award, named after a Kiwanis member and a Hornell successful businessman. The other award is to a student from an area school. A
student must exhibit scholarship, leadership and involvement in both school activities and the community to be community to be considered for this award.
